About this property

Villa Is A Guest House That Meets The Most Demanding Tastes For Luxurious Living

Villa Lepolahti is located in the heart of the unique landscape of the Häme region in the land of a thousand lakes. We are a small family Company, kriipinlomat.fi ,and we are dedicated to offer you friendly and unique service. Our own home, the main farm house of the estate, is located 2 km from the villa.

The house is comfortably furnished and offers you all modern conveniences. The unspoiled Finnish nature begins at your doorstep.

Villa Lepolahti has its own waterfront, a row boat and a jetty by the lake of the large Vanajavesi Lake, known for its great fishing.

Near excellent road connections, and only an hour's drive away from the busiest airports and harbours in Southern Finland. Some traffic noise may be carried to the yard from the motorway nearby.

The well-equipped guest house is available all year round;
In the winter, after refreshing outdoor activities you can enjoy the warmth of your own sauna. When the weather freezes, you can curl up next to the cosy fireplace and enjoy the beautiful winter landscape.
In the spring, you can observe the nature springing into the life and becoming greener day by day. In the spring and all through the summer, the days will get longer and longer, and in mid-summer the sun will not go down at all.
In the autumn, you can pick berries and mushrooms in the nearby forest (in Finland berry and mushroom picking is included in the so-called everyman's rights). The autumn is also one of the best fishing seasons.

After you have been to the villa's original wood-stove sauna by the lake, and perhaps even taken a dip in the lake or rolled in the snow, you will understand why Finns love the sauna experience so dearly.

Villa Lepolahti is a guest house that meets the most demanding tastes for luxorious living. It has the official best 5-star classification.

We strive to only use ecological and environment-friendly solutions in recycling and the energy efficiency.

The floor area of the villa comprises ca. 149m2/176 m2. The foundations are of concrete but the building material is log. The villa has underfloor heating, and it is heated with an environment-friendly geothermal heating system.

On the first floor, there is a sauna with a wood-stove, a bathroom with a toilet, a living room with a fireplace, a bedroom with two beds + extra bed for child and a utility room. From the sauna and the living room there is a spectacular view to the lake. Firewood and wireless internet connection (Fifi) is included in the rent of the villa.

On the second floor, there are two bedrooms: the master bedroom is equipped with a double bed and the other bedroom with two single beds. There is a magnificent view to the lake from the kitchen, the dining room and the living room. In the living room there is a balcony and a door to the outdoor veranda. There are patio furniture and a gas grill on the veranda. The grill can only be used in the summertime (May-October). The veranda reaches onto a small sheltered cliff.

Villa Lepolahti is located about 80 metres from the waterfront. There is also an old small cabin a few metres from the shore. The cabin is furnished and decorated in fisherman-style. There is also a fireplace in the cabin. The cabin can only be used in the summertime (May-October).

You are welcome to use the rowing boat, and life jackets can be found in the fisherman cabin. The shallow beach with a muddy/sandy bottom is comfortable for children to swim. There is a lawn yard with a flagstone path leading down to the small jetty. The yard is illuminated.

The number of people using the villa must not exceed the number of sleeping places (6 adults +1-2 children).

The villa is also suitable those with allergies; therefore pets are not allowed and smoking is not allowed inside.

You and your family are warmly welcome !

Stunning villa and location
This villa is simply amazing. Furnished and equipped to the highest standard and with the most stunning views across the lake. It is brilliantly designed with enough space for everybody .. yet areas for family togetherness too. This was a holiday that we really did not want to end. Nestled by the lake, the villa has a perfect location. We were treated to glorious sunsets across the water. The villa comes with a rowing boat for added fun and the chance to explore the nearby island. We didn't book the optional electric outboard motor ... but next time we will for more long range exploration. We soon found our way around the area and it was easy to pop out in the car to the local shop for supplies. The villa was a good base for exploring the wider region too. We even jumped on a train at nearby Toijala to visit Turku .. If you haven't explored Helsinki the train is a good option for going there too. Book in advance online for amazingly cheap rail fares compared to the UK .. the teenagers went for free on an already discounted adult ticket! It was an easy drive from Helsinki Airport .. and we were able to pick up supplies along the way from the large supermarket at Hämeenlinna. (an advance look at Google Street View made this first piece of navigation very easy) Communication with the owners ahead of the holiday was excellent and we were warmly welcomed on the day. We hope to return to this villa in the future and if you are considering visiting Finland then we can recommend it to you.

Spectacular Finnish Lake house
My family rented his luxury house on Lake Vanajavesi for the month of July. The location was perfect, great views of the lake at all hours of the day and night!... Fully equipped household meant we came with very little luggage and all our needs were met. The sauna, every night, was the highlight of the day, ending with a swim in the lake. We rowed every day out the islands and barbecued on the terrace. It was calm, perfect for bird watching; we kayaked and explored the area on bike and by foot. My grandmother came from Finland and much of what she talked about as the best of the Finnish character and landscape was here. I highly recommend this location to those exploring roots or wishing the ideal Finnish lake experience.. Not to be forgotten... Our hosts anticipated our every need and make living here as seamless as possible. Wonderful!

Lovely cottage in a beautiful location
A very well appointed, comfortable and clean house, in a beautifully quiet location by the lake just north of Hattula. The cottage has everything you could want for a comfortable and relaxing stay. A big thanks to the host for making the whole process very easy and fuss free. Will definitely stay again.

Einfach nur perfekt
Wunderschönes großes Haus in toller Lage. Es fehlt hier wirklich an nichts. Erja ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit und hat bei der Ankunft alles sehr gut erklärt. Noch nie habe ich ein Feriendomizil mit solch einer Top-Ausstattung erlebt. Man braucht wirklich nichts mitzubringen.
