Secluded Two Bedroom Villa within a 5 minute walk to the Beach.

The Guest house lies within the private and secluded grounds of Casa Campomar on a private road and is just a short walk from the picturesque beach of Binisafuller, a perfect haven for sunbathing, swimming, snorkelling or just relaxing. There are two local restaurants within walking distance, with plenty more to offer in the neighbouring villages and surrounding towns, reachable by a short car journey. The guest house is furnished to a high standard and is well equipped with everything you need for a self-catering holiday. The sitting room has an open plan kitchen and dining area. There are two bedrooms with a separate dressing room and bathroom.The guest house benefits from air conditioning, Sky TV, a DVD player and films, plus Wifi and a selection of books for your enjoyment. The private and secluded pool terrace is very spacious and equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas for that sometimes needed shade, along with a gazebo with table & chairs and a barbeque for dining by the pool. The pool terrace also benefits from a pool house with kitchenette and bathroom for your comfort and convenience. There are many seated areas within the grounds of Casa Campomar to enjoy the stunning views plus a large seated barbeque area at the front of the guest house. There is a private balcony to one side which overlooks the ravine, a renown bird sanctuary of the Island and there is also a large private roof terrace on the other side of the guest house with table and chairs to enjoy alfresco dining. On arrival there will be a free welcome pack with an assortment of food items and basics plus refreshments for an easy start to your holiday.

Julie and I feel that the Guest House has all and perhaps more than is necessary for the enjoyment of a peaceful, relaxed holiday on beautiful Menorca; although from experience I am sure you two will find a way to improve it yet further. We look forward to discovering what that will be.

We have just had our 5th holiday at Casa Campomar. Every year Karen and Sue add something new to their already perfect villa. They have anticipated everything you might possibly need for your stay.

The villa is set in a stunning location and even though they live next door they are the most discreet of hosts.

If you are looking for a quiet relaxing holiday away from the maddening crowd, this is the holiday for you.

Perfection

Menorca, the perfect holiday destination, Casa Campomar, the perfect place to stay. There are not enough superlatives to describe this guest house, it is in a quiet yet idyllic location, a short car journey from the airport. The guest house is on the same land as the owners home, but you either see them or you don't, the choice is yours, you are able to enjoy your holiday in the wonderful home they have created. Upstairs is the kitchen / diner / lounge. Fully equipped with cooker, microwave and all utensils. A TV (if you want it), 4 piece leather suite, table and chairs, windows to 3 of the 4 sides giving excellent views (and a through draft) including the sea (south) in the distance. A balcony on the east side and upper terrace to the west, where you can enjoy alfresco dining. To the north is the pool and terrace including a studio which encloses a changing area, fridge, hob and toilet facilities. BBQ facilities are also provided. In the guest house, one floor down is the more than adequate bathroom, with window to the pool, and further down two bedrooms with twin beds sleeping up to 4 , along with a changing area / walk in wardrobe. Downstairs is fully air conditioned. The owners Sue & Karen have left nothing out to make this guest house the best we have stayed in, in many ways a home from home, and it is so very clean and tidy, with lots of little extras to discover. They are perfect hosts, they are on site and you can make the most of that if you want to, or you don't hear from them, your choice. This place deserves respect, it is an ideal location for professional people with grown up family, it is not particularly suitable for young children (the swimming pool is all at one level (about 5ft deep) or anybody with walking difficulties as there are steps to negotiate both inside and outside the property. The beach is a short walk from the guest house. A car is essential, there are no shops within walking distance and only 2 bars / restaurants, but also if you want to enjoy Menorca and what it has to offer the car is the best mode of transport by far.

So how good is Casa Campomar, in our opinion just perfect, that is why we have been here for 5 of the past 6 years, and already booked for next year. If anyone finds something better and better value then you will have done very well indeed. Our home from home, Alan, Bev & Carly xx

Fantastic Holiday in Lovely Location

We are a family of 3 and thoroughly enjoyed our 2 week stay in the lovely guest house Karen & Sue have created at Casa Campomar.

The villa has everything you could possibly need for an enjoyable holiday on this delightful island and the location is perfect for you to have a peaceful relaxing time.

The property is very clean and welcoming. The layout is quirky being "upside down" but does mean the bedrooms are always cool and with the addition of air conditioning guarantees the heat does not disturb your sleep. The pool area and pool house were ideal and well maintained, with plenty of umbrellas to provide some much needed shade. All the fixtures, fittings and contents throughtout the property are well cared for and in good working order.

Karen and Sue have put together a very useful booklet about places to visit/eat on the island and despite having stayed on Menorca before this was great and we referred to it throughout our time there.

We would definitely recommend this property to anyone and are hoping to return ourselves in the not to distant future.

Wonderful 2 weeks

We have just returned from 2 delightful weeks. The house is everything we wanted and more. The house is clean. You never know when you use Owners Direct or any other website the state of the house when you turn up (we have had some previous bad experiences). I haven’t stayed in a holiday house so clean. Everything worked. Everything was carefully cared for. They had thought of everything we might need (even the emergency supply of toothbrushes and toothpaste, neatly stored under the sink was a kind touch – plus many other aspects). One of the many joys of the 2 weeks we were there (in the middle of August and yes, it’s hot) is the wonderful air con in the bedrooms. It transforms your holiday (especially when you have children), we all slept well, under blankets whilst it was 29c at night outside – which means you can tackle the heat of the day with new bounce and energy. The house is exactly like the pictures, the two bedrooms downstairs (double glazed window, so your wonderful cool air con doesn’t escape) – with a walk in wardrobe type area – perfect for hanging clothes. Decent sized bathroom, the living area and kitchen are on the top floor – wonderful opening windows, two doors so you have a constant breeze coming through. Kitchen with a convection hob, many other items including cool bag for those picnics. The living area is comfortable with a DVD, satellite channels (kids ones too – much to everyone’s delight), binoculars so you can bird watch (kids loved this). The terrace (which is straight off your main entrance is a sun trap and where we spent all our evenings and many lunches). The pool area is clean and been thoughtfully designed. The pool was a delight – clean – not a dirty tile in sight, very well cared for and a great pool house, which had numerous pool toys that had been left behind by previous guest. There was a kitchen, fridge and bathroom in the pool house.

5* villa lovely!!!

Me and my partner stayed in this lovely villa for a week in June, this is by far one of the better villas we have stayed in. Karen and susan have created such a little gem, the villa is in a lovely tranquil setting with views over the bird sanctuary which kept us busy looking the different birds. the villa was so well equipped with everything we needed and more!!including a bbq which was cleaned daily awesome!! We loved visiting some.of the little coves and beaches although they do get very busy in the afternoon. We hired a open top jeep to travel the island which was fun, everything you need is in driving distance. We found a lovely bar in benibeca which has a swimming pool along side it, hidden. Away to so it's nice and quite . We will both miss menorca and this lovely villa, hope to return in the near future.

Loved It!

Had a fantastic 2 week family holiday here with 2 kids (6 and 8). Arrived just as it was getting dark, and Karen and Sue had put on all the lights outside and the place looked amazing. The outside spaces here are fantastic. Gardens are beautiful and the terrace(s) / pool were brilliant for us and the kids. Karen and Sue were perfect hosts providing a lovely welcome, useful info as an when needed, and keeping the place looking neat and tidy. They're right next door, but you would hardly know that they are there so please don't be put off by having your hosts nearby. Its a quiet location, not overlooked at all, with views over the adjacent nature reserve and open spaces. It's close to the airport, so there is some noise from the aircraft, but we found it fascinating to to watch them. Again, don't be put off by this - it didn't detract from the holiday at all (in fact, the kids loved it!). Its about a 15-20 minute walk (with the kids) to the nearest beach, and not that many restaurants, etc nearby, so really a hire car is needed. Accommodation was clean and tidy with air con in the bedrooms. We had a brilliant two weeks tripping around the island in the hire car in the mornings and making a very welcome return to the villa and pool in the afternoons for some R&R. We absolutely didn't want to leave and have many many happy memories of our all to short a time here. Many thanks Karen and Sue. Would absolutely recommend.

Coast/Beach:

The quiet coastal village of Binisafuller Playa is located in the south-east of the Island neighbouring the pretty fishing village of Binibeca. Apart from the picturesque cove of Binisafuller, the beaches of Binibeca, Alcalfar and S’Algar all with their own special identities are very close by. However the Island of Menorca is renowned for having an abundance of beautiful beaches and secluded coves, none of which are very far away.

Travel:

Car hire is essential if you wish to explore the Island. The history and charm should really be sampled as should the delights of the traditional Menorquin restaurants and culture. Advanced car hire booking is recommended in peak season. Alternatively you can budget for taxi journeys to and from the local supermarkets, restaurants and places of interest.

Mahon Airport: 7 Minutes

Mahon (Capital) Town and Port: 10 minutes

Binisafuller beach: 2 minutes

Cuitadella (Old Capital) Town and Port: 40 minutes

Sant Lluis Town : 4 Minutes

Supermarket in Suestra Village: 3 Minutes

Larger Supermarket outside Sant Lluis Town: 5 minutes

Son Parc Golf Course: 30 Minutes

Further Details:

There are a few local restaurants plus additional quaint cafes and restaurants in the neighbouring towns and villages, with several choices of supermarkets along with chemists, butchers, bakers, banks and gift shops. There are weekly Trotting Race meetings in the town of Sant Lluis and the village of Sant Clemente hosts weekly Jazz Club nights. In the town of Mahon you can enjoy the many shops, or a walk along the Port where you can take advantage of the Harbour boat cruise and admire the capital from a different perspective. There are weekly fiestas throughout the peak season in the various towns across the Island. Binisafuller brings you back to a relaxed pace of life with another option of many beautiful walks along the Cami de Cavells, ensuring that you don’t miss a thing. This can also be arranged on horseback for the more adventurous. Campomar resides next to a vast ravine which is a haven for many species of interesting birds, with prime viewing from the balcony of the guest house. We provide binoculars and books and can also arrange for a guided tour of the area for the bird enthusiasts.
