About Justine Brown

We moved to Wendlebury in December 2002 after falling in love with the village and surrounding area. The cottage is next to the Main House surrounded by a 6 foot stone wall so is very secure. We gutted the cottage when we moved in putting in a new kitchen, bathroom, fixtures and fittings to make it very comfortable and cosy. We love the area and the close proximity we have to Oxford and Bicester Shopping Village. We live with our two children.

Justine Brown purchased this cottage in 2002

Why Justine Brown chose North Oxfordshire

The cottage is set in a very pretty village in Oxfordshire which has a very rural setting yet is close to the market town of Bicester, Bicester Shopping Village and 8 miles from Oxford which is easily accessible by car and public transport. The village has the best of both worlds as being away from the crowds but with all amenities just a short drive away. The cottage of cotswold stone is beautiful on the outside and in and provides a very warm welcome to those that stay in it. The village is small with the only amenity being the Lion pub where you can enjoy a traditional pub that serves great food and drink all day. Ideal if you want to stay locally. Bicester and Oxford also have many restaurants that can be enyoyed.

What makes this cottage unique

The cottage is convenient for exploring many places in Oxfordshire and is very close to the market town of Bicester and Bicester Shopping Village. The village is small with a church, village hall, park and Lion pub.

The Cottage is made from cotswold stone which can be seen from the outside and a number of the walls inside are of the original stone with oak beams to give the cottage so much character.

nice cottage but no garden

  • 3 of 5

From the property description and photos from the garden we understood that we could use the garden. When we recieved the property details a few days before our departure with the adress etc, it was pointed out this was not the case. Disappointing. The house was nice and very clean but we did not feel welcome.

Owner's Response: The property is clearly advertised with no garden and this is in the property description. However there is a children's play area and park opposite the cottage which can be used by guests for sitting outside. Please ensure you read the property details clearly. A full information pack is sent to all guests. We are always on hand to help any of our guests and they have our contact details.

Schönes gemütliches Ferienhaus

  • 4 of 5
