Citrus gardens is a small, new private exclusive development of self-catering apartments situated in the beautiful, peaceful village of karsiyaka, on the outskirts of lapta and 20 minutes from the picturesque seaside harbour town of kyrenia. They have 2 bedrooms in each apartment, which sleep 6 with the use of the sofa bed in the living room. The shared pool is a mere 20 yards away from the apartment and the site is the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life yet within a short drive or bus ride from an abundance of bars and restaurants. The sandy beach of sardunya is just a 15 minute stroll from the apartments and local amenities such as a supermarket and small family restaurants / bars are close by.

Really Relaxing

We are a retired couple who have just returned from 2 weeks in one of the apartments at Citrus Gardens. We were looking for a quiet & relaxing holiday and this apartment suited our needs perfectly.

The apartment was clean and had everything we required for a self catering holiday. The furniture was all of good quality, the bed was extremely comfortable and the towels were soft and fluffy.

We were very impressed with the pool area which was very quiet and most of the time we were the only two people in the swimming pool.

The owners helped us by organising our taxi transfers & car hire, all of which worked very well and were a reasonable price.

Although the property is in a quiet location, it is good to have a couple of bars only a very short stroll away that both serve food. We did also take a short drive (only a few minutes) to try Cato's Green Palace in Karsiyaka, which was lovely - good views & excellent food. The details for this & other bars were all in the file in the apartment.

The best thing for us about the apartment was the roof terrace where we spent most of our time. We loved sitting up there on an evening with a bottle of wine, eating from the BBQ whilst watching the sun go down. Perfect! We hope to go back again soon.

The area is so peaceful

Activity and Interests


The sandy beach of Sardunya is just a 15 minute stroll from the apartments,. There are also beach clubs with full leisure activities and watersports within a short drive.


Ercan is the nearest airport 30 minutes drive away but many will fly to Larnaca in the south which is around 1 hour 20 minutes away. Car hire and airport transfers can be arranged or recommended.


The centre of Kyrenia is approximately a 20 minute drive from the apartments.

Bellapais Abbey is set in the hills just to the east of Kyrenia a 25 minute drive from the apartment.

St. Hilarion Castle is a must see, please consider continuing over the mountain road, which is approximately one hour’s drive and which provides unbelievable views, both to the north and flat plain to the south.

The main and most popular Beach Club is Escape Beach, which is a short drive from the apartment.

Further Details:

There is a bar and restaurant on the main road just opposite the complex entrance. A hotel with water park is situated next door. There are many restaurants with 20 minutes on the way to Kyrenia which is approx 25 minutes away. The local Dolmus can be picked up anywhere along the main road and you will only pay a couple of pounds to travel along this road to Kyrenia.

Booking Notes:
A non refundable deposit of £50 per week is required at the time of booking. The balance plus a £100 security deposit must be paid 8 weeks prior to your arrival. The security deposit will be refunded within 14 days of your return once your apartment has been checked. Electricity is very expensive in Northern Cyprus and therefore an allowance of £25 per week is included. The meter will be read at the start and end of your holiday.
