An absolutely stunning villa (4 plus 1 bedrooms) with private pool with electronic hard cover, and landscaped gardens, all approached through electronic wrought iron gates. Located in this truly fabulous beach front location. A great villa for 2 families holidaying together.

You can walk to Martinhal Beach in just a few minutes where you will find 2 great beach bar/restaurants on the sand dunes.

There are also 22 other beaches within easy reach, which is why none seem to get very busy even in the height of summer.

Why Anna Charles chose Sagres

This location is totally unspoilt and totally different from many other more touristic destinations. The local people are really friendly, they love children and it reflects a "real" image of Portugal that hasn´t been spoilt.

The whole area is surrounded by National Park and there are 22 beaches within a 15 minute drive. I think this is why none of the beaches ever seem crowded.

Sagres Village is a fishing village, so the seafood is amazing. There is also a "surfy" vibe in the village which is fun.

Stunning

We had a lovely stay at the Villa - the view from the veranda was stunning. The property was spacious and clean. The coffee machine was great - we are going to get one at home! The beach is less than five minutes from the property and the beach café, Nortada, is a real treat. Overall, a lovely place to stay. Thank you

Toller Urlaub, tolles Haus, tolle Lage!

Wir waren mit 8 Erwachsenen und 2 kleinen Kinder (1 Jahr) in der Villa No. 30 und es war wirklich ein wunderbarer Urlaub. Tolles Haus, tolle Lage, toller Service - wir kommen wieder!

Das Haus:

Die Villa ist einfach toll. Die Schlafzimmer sind alle im Erdgeschoss bzw. Soutterain, sind schön groß und haben sehr gemütliche Betten. In der ersten Etage befindet sich die "Living Area", was mit kleinen Kindern einfach super ist, weil man sich oben auch abends noch lange aufhalten kann, ohne flüstern zu müssen, weil die Kinder aufwachen könnten. Der Pool ist schön groß und kann komplett verschlossen werden. Auch sind super Loungemöbel in der gesamten Außenanlage und ausreichend für alle vorhanden.

Der Service:

Der Service ist ebenfalls top. Wir haben den Getränkeservice genutzt und hatten bei Ankunft bereits den ganzen Kühlschrank voll mit Wein, Bier, Wasser, Softdrinks zu wirklich fairen Preisen. Wir wollten am zweiten Tag gerne noch ein paar Handtücher mehr haben, da haben wir José angerufen und am gleichen Tag kam noch eine Dame vorbei, die uns einen ganzen Stapel Handtücher bereitgelegt hat. Zwischendurch ist uns der Stabmixer kaputt gegangen und eine eMail und einen Tag später hatten wir schon einen neuen.

Die Lage:

Auch die Lage ist super. In 15 Minuten erreicht man mehrere Strände bzw. Buchten, die allesamt sehr feinsandig und gepflegt waren. Wir hatten ein paar Surfer dabei. Der Strand in Martinhal ist sehr schön feinsandig und super für die Kinder, da es ziemlich flach abfallend ins Meer geht und die Brandung äußerst ruhig ist. Zum Wellenreiten allerdings ungeeignet, so dass die Surfer unter uns mit dem Mietwagen immer zu einem anderen Strand gefahren sind. Da aber alles so nah war, überhaupt kein Problem. In Martinhal ist eine sehr schöne Strandbar.

Die Sauberkeit:

Ein (kleines) Manko war die Sauberkeit. Das hätte wirklich besser sein können, haben wir aber am ersten Tag selbst behoben. Zum Beispiel waren die Ausgüsse in den Duschen voll mit Haaren so dass das Wasser nicht gut ablief. Auch die Böden waren nicht sehr gut gewischt. Insgesamt konnte man sich aber, wenn man nicht allzu empfindlich ist, wohl fühlen. Und es ist natürlich auch möglich, die Reinigungskräfte zu bestellen und nachbessern zu lassen. Haben wir aber drauf verzichtet und uns selbst gekümmert.

W-Lan:

Das W-Lan war wirklich nicht gut. Man konnte gerade bei WhatsApp Nachrichten schreiben und empfangen, auch eine Mail ging raus. Anhänge waren aber schon ein Problem. Schade.

Fabulous Stay

We had a fabulous stay at Villa 30, this is possibly one of the only places I have stayed where the reality was better than the pictures!

The villa is really well laid out with 4 bedrooms, one in the basement (double with en-suite) and 3 on the ground floor (2 x single and 1 x double with en-suite). The living area and kitchen are on the first floor and there is a wrap around balcony with steps leading down to the pool area, out door tables and bbq area. The bedrooms lead onto the pool area and the pool is covered but not fenced off. We took a 4 year old and 7 month old and this wasn't a problem, but you woud need to keep an eye on them.

Martinhal is a fantastic resort, the beach is less than 5 mins walk away from the villa and there are some lovely places to eat in the area.

Further Details:

I would describe Sagres as an unspoilt fishing village with a very surfy vibe about it. This area is much less touristic and busy then most other areas of the Algarve.
