About Paul Clarke

We have been to the beautiful area of Cortona many times during the past 20 years for family holidays and adore everything about it. It's a fantastic Italian experience: friendly people and wonderful food, wine, coffee and ice-cream set amongst numerous amazing medieval villages and towns.

We have tried to create a little bit of luxury in a lovely rural setting and have painstakingly renovated our house to maintain it's character and provide modern convenience. The peaceful location offers lots of variety with great access for day trips. Relax by the pool or go for walks/cycling from right outside the house. Eat in/dine out - you're spoilt for choice in summer and winter.

We hope that you will be tempted to visit and make our home your home and so begin your love affair with Cortona

Guestbook comments from the owner

Well it is a sad day indeed. We have to leave your beautiful home! We have had the most wonderful 2 weeks. The house is perfect. We love the way you renovated it and decorated it and it is so comfortable.

There is nothing that was lacking at all.

Your guide book is really helpful too and we did a lot of what you suggested. The best one for us ended up being the fishing.

We also enjoyed the bike paths.

Thank you for sharing your piece of paradise with us and your kind hospitality in making us so comfortable and welcome.

Julia, Matt and children.

(Ottawa, Canada)

We had an amazing week in your beautiful house; what a place and what

a location! Thank You.

Ben and Beth

We are on the final night of our lovely holiday in Tuscany. Your house has been fabulous and perfect for our multi-generation holiday. We have really enjoyed the comfortable accommodation and great location. The house has been very easy to live in and everything has worked with no issues.

What a perfect place!

  • 5 of 5

We've just had the most AMAZING holiday in Tuscany! Casale Sant'Agata was everything we expected and more - the pictures don't do it justice! We fell in love with this beautiful farmhouse.....big, spacious, clean, tastefully furnished, modern bathrooms and kitchen, comfy beds, lovely pool, great BBQ area and absolutely superb location with stunning views! In a word - perfect.

We loved Cortona - there's something quite special and magical about it. We did loads of trips including Florence, Lake Tressimo, Urbino etc.

If you're considering driving, do it! It's an absolute doddle. The French motorways are a pleasure to drive on. Register online for the in car bleepers for both motorways (France & Italy) and you'll breeze through the toll gates! We would recommend an overnight stay in Lucerne in Switzerland on the way down and on the return journey, head back through the Mont Blanc tunnel and overnight it in Geneva, Dijon or Reims. One word of caution, driving in Italy is a real education - just have your wits about you!

To summarise, this villa and its location is amazing. If you've always promised yourself a holiday in Tuscany, please look this place up. Paul and Heather have gone above and beyond to think of everything...and I mean everything. The welcome manual covers the lot!

A very happy and memorable holiday for us all.

Beautiful farmhouse in Southern Tuscany

  • 5 of 5

We are spent a wonderful week as Casale Sant Agata in this beautiful restored farmhouse. It has a terrific pool, which we used daily (given the heatwave) and also a gazebo that we used for lunch and dinner/evenings.

The house itself has 3 rooms and a large central living room. All the rooms are very large and it was perfect for a family. We have 3 kids (9 to 16 yrs old) and they loved it.

The location is on a country road surrounded by fields of sunflowers and vines, near to a local village (with some shops/restaurants). There is a nearby town (camucia) with a supermarket and then the wonderful town of Cortona is about 15 mins away.

We would recommend this house for families who are interested in enjoying the local area and having a great house to base themselves in. The house has loads of character and mixes old and modern really well. We loved it.

Paul was very helpful from our first enquiry to the end of our visit. The house has everything you need, including plenty of local guides/information on things to do.

Tuscan dream

  • 5 of 5

Well all I can say about this property is it was superb and was everything and more that we hoped it would be. The property was quite and the views stunning, picture book Tuscany. Camucia had everything you needed for your day to day requirements and Cortonia is beautiful and full of history. We took the train from the station which is just 10 minutes drive away into beautiful Florence and had a fantastic day. This house is amazing, fully equipped has beautiful gardens and pool for relaxing. The owners supplied comprehensive instructions for getting to the property and of all the things in the area we might need. All in all excellent property and the owners went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. Hoping to return.

Fantastic villa!

  • 5 of 5

What a gorgeous house! Equipped with everything and such a high standard internally, nicest house we have stayed in for a holiday. We picked a week with extremely hot weather for the time of year, so air con would've be a bonus but thank god for the fans that were there! We had a very lazy, relaxing week. The guide that the owners leave at the house is very comprehensive and informative. The owners have thought of everything including a portable speaker, hairdriers (decent ones too), board games, books etc... I would definitely recommend the property and return to visit again!

Fantastic location and villa

  • 5 of 5

Paul and Heathers house in Tuscany is 'home from home' - all the amenities are great - comforatable beds, great shower with loads of hot water, lovely wood stove, and well equipped kitchen. Outside is also so comfortable with the pergola and BBQ area and extensive lawn and swimming pool.

The location is great if you like to explore and what a variety of places to go - within a week we were up in the snow in the mountains at a ski resort, in Florence for the day by train, boat trip on lake Trasemino, Siena, outlet shopping and local walks around both the house and Cortona.

A most enjoyable home to relax either for the day or to return to in the evening. Either cook in and relax or many lovely places to eat including a most enjoyable visit to Agrisolata and an exquisite meal. Ann and John
