Holiday Home in Almunecar, Costa Tropical of Granada, Spain - True Large Family House, Located On A Hill Overlooking The See, 15 Minutes Walking From The Beach

Villa overlooking the Mediterranean sea. Very sunny with large windows, decorated and equipped as a true family house. Ample outdoors facilities. Large and sunny swimming pool, shared but seldom used. Fully air conditioned

Going by the pictures of the property, the main floor has a very spacious living room with wide windows over the Mediterranean (some are floor to ceiling windows), a bathroom and a large kitchen. On the upper level we find the Master Bedroom, with en-suite bathroom and a private sitting/reading area, two more bedrooms sharing an ample terrace over the sea, and a third bathroom. On the lower floor there is a very large bedroom with its own sitting and playing area, ideal for children (we have two portable cribs for additional babies).

The outside areas include a large porch with great sea views, a large and shaded BBQ area, a children play area next to the porch, a sun-bathing area and a garden. On the lower level there is a covered garage for one car.

You may notice that we have also included a picture of the outdoor children play area at night from the back porch, just to clearly convey the notion that the property is ideal for families with children: You can enjoy your time, while children safely play close to you, or play inside in their large bedroom with sitting and play areas.

The house is ideal for families or for friends sharing vacations together, but nor for bachelor parties or the like. You will be part of a very friendly community living in the area, and you will be expected to follow common sense and respectful attitudes.

About Jose Maria

We are a Spanish couple in our fifties, living in Madrid. We know the Granada area very well, since we were born the two of us in that beautiful town.

We enjoy going back to Granada from time to time, but we seldom manage to do so more than a couple of times during the year, and never for too long..

We wanted to have a house at the beach of Granada, at its most iconic town, Almunecar, large, full of light, with great views, the ideal spot for living there.... and this is the house you are renting. A true family house carefully selected to provide a very pleasant stay in town.

Why Jose Maria chose Costa Tropical & Lecrin Valley

We are, my wife and me, from Granada, and we have known the area since we were small children. Naturally, we have a strong attachment for Almunecar, and we have spent years looking for an interesting property to have a house there.... we found it, finally, and we now propose you to share that property with us.

We were born in Granada, but we left this town in the early 80's. We now return there from time to time, but never for too long. This is the reason why we rent the house.

What makes this villa unique

Our house is on a hill over the sea, with more than 400 m2 and 150 m2 of construction. You will enjoy great views while having ample space around you in a fully air conditioned villa.

The living room is open to the sea, with a large seating area, a dining set and a fireplace. The large Master Bedroom enjoys a queen bed, great views, a reading area and a large bathroom. The second bedroom has its own large sitting area, ideal for young people to have their independence. There are two more bedrooms sharing a terrace. There are three bathrooms in total

The outdoor areas are very ample, including a children play area by large porch at the back and a shaded BBQ area

The house is 15 minutes walking from the beach

We share a very large and sunny swimming pool, seldon used.

The house is ideal for one or two families with children in summer, and for a couple for the winter

Outside: The size of the property is around 400 square meters, mostly with gardens and terraces, including a wooden porche overlooking the sea and a children play area. Outdoor fonitures include two dinner sets (in the two levels) and deck chairs close to the large and shaded BBQ area. There is a gardener taking care of the facilities. The pool is rather large and very suitable for exercise swimming. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Final cleaning for regular stays included. Additional cleaning sessions can be arranged. Towels and linen laundry charge: 20 Eur. per person/per visit.You can bring your own towels and bed linen if you want. Pool or beach towels are not included. Really enjoyable holiday

For second year in a row, we chose Las Gaviotas for our family holiday in Almuñécar- family of 2 adults, 2 children and a dog. During the weekend we had relatives staying with us, we were 10 people in total. The house was even better than last year, as it now has air conditioning, which we used during the first days. During the last few days of our stay it was quite windy and we couldn´t go to the beach, but we didn´t mind, having such great views, the garden and the pool.The house is REALLY recommendable if you are looking for a place to relax and disconnect from routine . We will certainly have our family holiday in Las Gaviotas next year again !!

Fantastic house in a wonderful area

We stayed at the villa for a week with our children and their partners (8 persons in total). The house was up to our expectations and more. Clean, spacious, well-equipped and with a wonderful sea- view. We even spotted a group of dolphins from the terrace one morning.

The beach and a set of nice restaurants and small supermarkets are at walking distance. Town-centre is a bit far to walk, but if you don't mind a good climb on your way back, it is doable. Don't forget to go for an ice- cream at Jamaica Inn!

The surroundings - beach and mountains - provide stunning views, adorable towns and villages (e.g. Nerja, Frigiliana) and interesting places like Malaga and Granada.

Contacts surrounding the rental of the property were very friendly and adquate.

We would recommend the property to anyone!

Encantadora estancia con equipamiento ideal

Nuestra estancia ha sido fantástica en todos los aspectos: las vistas de la terraza principal son increibles mirando al mar, la zona de jardín está perfectamente cuidada y la barbacoa es muy útil!! La casa está cuidada y tiene todo tipo de comodidades: aire acondicionado, camas cómodas, horno y placa de inducción. Los baños son amplios y luminosos.Es un barrio silencioso y muy limpio, con una vecindad tranquila y agradable. Sin duda repetiremos en nuestra próxima visita a la costa Tropical.

fantastic! spacious villa with great sea view in lovely part of Spain

This villa is a real find - enough space for all six of us to relax easily, large pool and a short drive from any stuff you may need. The place is well equipped and clean and the owner friendly and provided some good tips for local dining. We had lovely days at various local beaches and towns, or at the pool (or both). Lots of great tapas and seafood out and some long meals straight off the bbq at the villa. The area is very nice and feels very 'spanish' with a cooling breeze to take the edge off the heat. I would definitely recommend this villa.

Wonderful relaxing week in Las Gaviotas

We stayed for a week in Las Gaviotas ( 2 adults, 2 children ) and during the weekend we had family come to stay with us. The house is even better than what you see on the web - fantastic views, a lovely garden with BBQ, large rooms and a great pool. It is fully equipped, including the kitchen, which isn´t always easy. We had everything we needed to enjoy a really relaxing holiday, including a visit to the water park, Aqua Tropic, just a few minutes´drive from the house. Highly recommendable, we will certainly return next year !!

Almuñecar is full of bars and restaurants, from very simple ones to truly upscale choices like Calabajio.

Our house is on a hill overlooking the sea. For young people it is perfectly feasible to go and come back on foot (our children have always done so), while we, ourselves, we prefer to take the car to nearby parking areas (there are plenty surrounding the historical center of the town)

The length of the stay can be negotiated. We have just presented in the Table the most common cases. Winter rentals are welcomed, including long term ones.
