Sleeps 6, 2 bedroom apartment that is set over two levels with 6 beds and located in Aiguille Grive III residence. Set amidst the trees with glorious views from the South West balcony, facing across the Tarentaise Valley, this warm and spacious apartment is just metres from the open pistes and a chairlift conveniently situated steps away from the door. The apartment is ski in/ski out from a blue run. The two-story accommodation enjoys home comforts as well as a normal ceiling height on the upper floor, unlike many other residences in the resort. There is a ski hire/bakery/pizzaria/lift pass shop adjacent to the residence.

Why Martin Grewcock chose Les Arcs area
We bought our apartment in 2003. We chose Les Arcs, because it is high level with almost guaranteed snow, extensive and varied skiing for all levels and the fantastic views it enjoys.
We were attracted to Arc 1800 because of its extensive facilities and amenities and its convenient location within the skiing area.
Our apartment is close to the facilities but situated in a quieter area.

Aguille Grive 3 Apt 320
The apartment was easy to find and picking up the keys was straight forward as the agents had waited until we arrived at around 8.30pm. All the information provided prior to rental was detailed and helpful and ensured we were able to work the electrics and heating systems on arrival. The only discrepancy was that the details stated that single bedding needed to be provided. Whilst this was true of the duvet covers there was a double bed in the main bedroom so a double sheet would have been better than the two single fitted sheets that we took along! The apartment was clean and compact with the photos provided on the website a true representation. Even though the apartment was compact we found storage to be excellent and as a family of 5 we had enough space for a comfortable stay. We particularly liked the storage area by the door for skis and found that boots, gloves etc dried really well and quickly in front of the window under the bench with the heater turned on. The kitchen was well equipped. In the bathroom upstairs the shower was spacious and powerful with plenty of hot water. We were surprised to find that there was not a heated towel rail in the bathroom...we dried our towels by hanging them on hooks in the main bedroom and switching the plug in radiator in. The apartment is well located. It is very close to a couple of ski hire shops which were not busy so service was quick. There is also a small shop/bakery/pizzeria very close by however we were disappointed on 2 out of 3 occasions when we went to order take away pizza before 7pm and were told that they had stopped serving. For more facilities such as bars, restaurants and a supermarket a 10 minute walk down the hill to Villards was necessary. The apartment was the best ski in and out we've ever had. From the front door of the apartment it was a few steps to the lift, up one floor then down a short corridor which led to the bottom of the piste with direct access to a chair lift that linked to the Transarc Express bubble. Another plus for the apartment was that to get into the building and operate the lifts a special key fob was needed so it felt very safe and secure. Whilst this property did not necessarily have the alpine charm of other places we have stayed it made up for it with great storage and ski n ski out convenience. I would recommend this property to anyone who wants a clean, functional and well located apartment from which to enjoy the Les Arcs ski area.
Excellent location, clean and a great shower!
This apartment is in a brilliant location - walking distance from the main town of Les Arcs 1800 and with a ski lift literally metres away from the back door. We were a group of 4 and there was plenty of room; larger groups may struggle a little with space, but that is to expected from most apartments of this nature. It was clean, well laid out and the listing description is spot on. I would certainly recommend this apartment and am looking forward to a return visit in future. (Also make sure to check out the pizza shop around the back of the building which is really good value and high quality).

By Train: Eurostar From London St Pancras or Ashford International in Kent, approximately 8 hours to Bourg St Maurice (day train or overnight sleeper) or
Eurostar or flight to Paris, TGV to Bourg St Maurice
By car: Autoroute from Calais via Lyon to Moutiers . National route through Tarentaise Valley to Bourg.
By Air: Flights to Geneva, Lyon, Grenoble and Chambery (the nearest at 120km). Transfer by bus, train or car hire.
The apartment has essential facilities on its doorstep - shop, pizzaria, ski-hire and lift pass office and is only a five minute walk to one the the resort's main shopping streets which includes a well-stocked supermarket, as well as shops, bars, eating places and a bowling alley. A 10 minute walk (or short free bus ride) away gives access to further shops, bars, restaurants, a cinema and a launderette.
