Penthouse Apartment in Albufeira Old Town, Central Algarve, Portugal - Peaceful Location In Albufeira's Famous Old Town.

This is a top floor high spec apartment with all rooms exiting onto front facing balcony with a 180 degree sea views. Apartment will sleep 4/5 comfortably and is fully air conditioned. It has a fully fitted kitchen with washing machine, dishwasher, internet linked to tv with dvd player. We're renting for the second time this year, having owned since 2008 and had some fantastic holidays with our friends.

About Paul and Shelley Williams

We purchased the apartment from new in 2008 after our first visit to Portugal, as we were bowled over by the Old Town of Albufeira and the stunning views from the apartment. We have had many enjoyable holidays throughout the year and particularly enjoy September and October when the sea is a little warmer! We have two teenage daughters who enjoy the night life in the Old Town which is easily walkable and safe. For those who are slightly older like ourselves, there is nothing better than to sit on the balcony at night with a glass of very good Portuguese wine! During the daytime, the views are stunning and it's great to watch the boats coming and going in the bay. It's also a great place to sunbathe!

The apartment is in a quiet residential area and is opposite the Hotel Boa Vista. You can walk down into the Old Town along the cliff top and Fisherman's beach is a favourite for an early morning coffee and to 'people watch'!

Location

Coast/Beach:

There are some beautiful beaches within 10 mins car drive and these are Gale, Salgados, San Rafael and many more. Fisherman's beach is the main beach in Old Albufeira and that is walkable from the apartment (approx 10mins).

There is also a very good shopping centre called Algarve Shopping in Guia which has all the usual boutiques and also designer outlets plus a large supermarket. Worth a visit Ladies!

There is a local supermarket within walking distance and also a Lidl in Albufeira.

Travel:

Faro is approx 35 mins in a car and transfer can be arranged for your stay (cost for 4 approximately 80 euros return).

Distances:

Albufeira Old Town / Main Beach / Marina - approx 10 mins walk.

Faro is approx 35 mins by car.

Silves is approx 75 mins and this takes you into the hills of Monchique.

Further Details:

There are many good restaurants and bars in the Old Town and we provide information on these in a booklet in the apartment. It also contains information on boat hire, day trips etc.

Notes on accommodation: Please note this is a no smoking apartment. Outside: There is a new sofa (7/2013) and 2 reclining chairs on the patio, along with a sun lounger and table. There is an allocated parking space in the underground garage. Utility Room: N/A Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bath towels and linen are included but you need to bring your own beach towels. Linen will be changed weekly and the apartment is cleaned weekly.

APARTAMENTO FANTASTICO

Hemos estado un matrimonio con dos hijos durante 10 días en este apartamento y nos ha parecido maravilloso.

La ubicación es perfecta. Está en una zona muy tranquila de Albufeira y a sólo 10 minutos caminando de la playa y del centro . Hay un supermercado bastante completo a 2 minutos andando.

El apartamento está nuevo. Es amplio y está muy limpio. Tiene aire acondicionado en cada dormitorio y en el salón , cosa importante en verano .

Además , está bien equipado : lavadora , lavavajillas , TV , WIFI ...

El balcón es un lujo . Tiene unas vistas al mar impresionantes . Por la tarde da la sombra y con la brisa que corre se está muy a gusto.

Mis hijos disfrutaron mucho de la piscina. No es muy grande , pero hace su función.

El dueño del apartamento ha sido muy amable y ha estado disponible en todo momento.

Por todo esto , recomendaría a todo el mundo este apartamento. Si tuviera que volver a Albufeira , repetiría sin dudarlo. Ha sido un acierto.

Just back from two wonderful weeks at this excellant apartment (family of 4 adults) It has everything you could need for a self-catering holiday including great wi-fi, air con, (a real godsend as it was boiling hot) stunning views, and an easy stroll to either the old town, the beautiful beach or the marina. This apartment exceeded our expectations and we will definitely return in the future.

Immaculate accommodation with a superb view.

The apartment is in immaculate condition with all the equipment for self catering. The furniture on the extensive balcony is all any one could ask for with superb sea/ mountain and town views. The area around the apartment has bars and very good restaurants, would highly recommend this accommodation.

Great apartment with fantastic views

We have stayed all over the Algarve and this was one of our best apartments. It was clean, the person (Joel) who met us was very friendly and explained how everything worked. He even showed me the private reserved spot in the basement for my car.

The apartment was spotless and the owner left a welcome package which was a really nice gesture.

The apartment was like a home from home.

The only suggestion I would make is to install a grap rail so you can something to grip when leaving the bath! I nearly came a cropper!

The balcony has decent quality furniture and faces East-my preference for morning sun.

The local bar (Arte Bar) was a nice stopping off place on the way back. Its only a 5 minute walk to the apartment.

Overall, we noticed an increase in the amount of stag parties in the Old Town. Maybe they were advised the OT is far better than the Strip!

We will definately return and finally I would like to add that the owner has been a joy to deal with.

Great Apartment - Views- Location likewise.

This was only my second time of booking independent of travel company, and were travelling with our friends Veron & Colin, who had not flown that far or visited Portugal before. ( Sir Cliff Richard Vine Yard bottle signing reason for visit). Sally & I have been several times to Albufeira.

Paul & Shelley were extremely helpful from beginning to end, as was their rep in Albufeira.

The apartment has one double bedroom with on-suite bath / shower + second bedroom, twin Bed with separate Shower / toilet room. good size kitchen & Lounge.Very clean, excellent facilities.

Main square & Beach 10 min walk with restaurants/ bars one way and the Marina restaurants/ bars 10 mins the other.

Paul & Shelley's Info pack is comprehensive, Note use of Shower timing.

Would Definitely recommend to friends / family. Circumstances allowing Hope to return again for a slightly lounger "holiday" soon.

Beautiful apartment and great location!

It was a really lovely, well kept and clean property. Great location - far enough away from the noise of the town centre, but a 5/10 minute walk to the beach, beautiful restaurants and shops. Will definitely be referring this property to others and personally going back, Paul and Shelley were very pleasant to deal with and made sure everything was organised and covered before our arrival.

Booking Notes:
A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the booking fee is required to secure your holiday. Full payment is required 6 weeks before your holiday plus a security deposit of 200 pounds to reflect the high standard of the apartment. This security deposit will be refunded within 7 days of your return. A check-in service will be provided by our local agent.

Changeover Day:
We operate a flexible policy and will try to accommodate any reasonable requests. The apartment will ordinarily be available from 3pm on arrival and guests are requested to leave by 10am on departure.

Notes on prices:
Please note these prices do not include Easter or Christmas weeks. Prices available on request. Prices are for 4 guests sharing the apartment, we're happy to provide a quote for 5 guests (i.e. if another bed is required).

We're also happy to quote for longer term rental bookings (eg one to two months) in the off season (i.e. November through to March) and have changed the layout (7/2013) of the lounge to accommodate longer stays.
