House in Mollington, Oxfordshire, England - Peaceful Rural Location Just 4 Miles From The Old Market Town Of Banbury.

Mollington is quiet village on the County borders of Oxfordshire, Warwickshire and Northamptonshire and is 4 miles from the town of Banbury.

To ensure all bookings are on a personal level, please contact the owner Jackie for a personal speedy reply.

The village has its own church which dates from the 13th century and a pub which is said to have connections with the civil war. The house itself is full of character with its stone inglenook fireplace and a wealth of beams. It has four bedrooms, a large kitchen/breakfast room, dining room, Lounge, entrance hall and downstairs cloakroom.

The garden is enclosed with plenty of garden furniture, there is also a brick built BBQ for you to enjoy meals outside.

Notes on accommodation: The Old Bakery is an old dwelling parts of which date back to the 18th century. The property has undergone complete renovation and offers excellent and comfortable accommodation. There is a high chair and a cot is available on request. A log fire in the inglenook is available on prior request at an extra cost of £15 per night stay for logs and fire lighters. gas fired central heating is included in the price, as is the Sky TV (full sports and movie package) and Wi-Fi connection. The property is non-smoking. There are views of the countryside from all aspects. Outside: There is a paved patio area,there are 2 tables and 10 chairs plus folding garden chairs and loungers plus a gazibo. The garden is on two levels with seating on the upper level and a shaded grassed area on the lower level. There is also an old sealed community well, with cast iron pump. The garden is not overlooked and is safe for children. There is off-road parking for 3 cars in front of the property with additional parking in the village 2 mins walk. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All bed linen, duvets and one bath and one hand towel per person included. Other: Beamed dining room with large dining table which seats 10, window seat, electric organ, vintage radio/vinyl player. Office area, with large desk and chair on landing.

Simply Amazing

The Old Bakery was as beautiful in real life as it was in the pictures, absolutely beautiful. Idyllic setting and with such a fabulous sunny weekend, we were able to sit out and appreciate the amazing garden.

Jackie and Michael have thought of everything, thank you so much for an amazing long weekend. Our party of 10 had so much fun and your house and hospitality made our holiday so special xxx

Gorgeous property. Very well maintained. Jackie was extremely welcoming and accommodating, waiting for us to arrive so she could greet us despite us being held up in traffic. Gorgeous location with excellent facilities. We would definitely come back her again!

birthday get-together!

We had a great couple of days celebrating my birthday with our grown-up 'kids' & our toddler grandson. The description of The Old Bakery was accurate & the facilities, particularly the kitchen were great. The property was immaculately clean & well maintained. It was just right for us as we needed 3 double rooms & a room with a cot. We really enjoyed sitting in the garden & playing with our grandson. We mainly 'self-catered' but the 1 meal we had out at the Wharf Inn, Fenney Compton was rated by our group as rather disappointing, so we couldn't recommend that I'm afraid. However we'd definitely recommend The Old Bakery!!

Further Details:

Mollington is 4 miles from the market town of Banbury. The modern Castle Quay shopping precinct is situated alongside the Oxford Canal and has many of the major retail stores. All of the major banks and supermarkets are scattered around the town.

There are many activities to be found locally including horse riding, ten pin bowling, flat green bowling (indoor and outdoor), tennis, swimming, golf, shooting, angling, gliding and walking. In addition the Oxford Canal runs close by and offers trips by narrow boat.

The surrounding villages have a range of old pubs, many of which are on the canal-side and they have a variety of menus which cater for all tastes.
