Son Mas is an attractive luxury farmhouse style villa located between Felanitx and Campos. This charming Mallorcan farmhouse was refurbished in 2011 and is finished to a high standard. A variety of restaurants, bars and markets are all within a short drive, as are golf courses, tennis courts and great walking routes. There are also a wide variety of beautiful beaches, the closest being twenty minutes away. It is twenty minutes from Cala D'or or thirty minutes from Palma, if you are looking for a lively evening.

Why Andrew Taylor chose Migjorn Region

This house was built by the family in 1987. The location was chosen as it is a thirty minute drive from the airport and the centre of Palma. In addition to this it is only a short time to a variety of picturesque bays and beaches, and only a short drive to major towns hosting markets and lively restaurants. It is a secluded and peaceful location, with the option to join the hustle and bustle of larger towns if this is what you fancy.

What makes this villa unique

The nearest supermarket is a five minute drive, and takes seven minutes to reach the centre of the closest town Felanitx. Felanitx has a variety of shops offering local produce, three main stream supermarkets, bars and a daily market. The main beaches are from twenty plus minutes and Palma is a half an hour drive away.

Son Mas is a dream. A lovely stone house set in beautiful mature gardens. The rooms are large and stylishly furnished and the house is well equipped for a family holiday. The terrace overlooking the large swimming pool is the perfect setting for lazy lunches and the location of Son Mas means that great restaurants are within easy reach. Upon arrival at the villa I knew immediately that our stay would be very special. The villa is spectacular and set in a beautiful secluded garden. Fresh flowers in every room made our group feel very welcome. The pool area is a real sun trap. The bricked BBQ and terrace is perfect for winding away summers evenings whilst the sun sets at the end of the garden. The villa is ideal for families and large groups. I had a fantastic stay at Son Mas and hope to be coming back very soon. Richard K, 8/2011

Notes on accommodation: The accommodation is not accessible by public transport, so a rental car is essential. Outside: There is a large tiled outdoor patio with tables that seats 14 and an outside barbecue. There are steps that lead down to another terrace where there are ten sun loungers and two parasols. The pool is private, with a cornered off shallow area for toddlers. The deep end of the pool is 160cm and the shallow end is 20cm. There are also two more large terraced areas for quiet reading, and views of the garden. There is two and a half acres of land, with mature gardens and exotic flowers. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Fresh linen, towels and bathrobes are provided, as well as beach/pool towels. For long stay guests the villa will be cleaned and sheets changed weekly. More cleaning can be provided at additional cost. Check out is 1000 and check in is 1600. Other: Extensive terrace areas leading from the main living area to the pool, as well as off of the bedrooms.

This is an absolute gem!!

This villa is owned and enjoyed by a family which creates the wonderful atmosphere of Son Mas. It exceeded all expectations! Clean and comfortable with lots of space even if you were 12. Secluded and private with fabulous restaurants, beaches etc only approx 20 mins away. Great for family and/or friends. So well equipped too! Thanks so much for a great holiday.

We thoroughly enjoyed our villa experience at Son Mas. Enabled us to have quality time together.

The villa has lots of character and is well equipped with comfortable bedrooms, numerous bathrooms and a fabulous outdoor dinning area overlooking the pool. Without the fear of disturbing neighbours both adults and children could be as relaxed and as noisy as they liked at any time of the day due to the villa's quiet location. We had trips to Cala Millor, Porto Christo and Aqualand, sometimes ending the day with a meal or BBQ on the outdoor dining area where we were also captivated by the stunning light free sky at night. On other evenings we visited restaurants near Campos and Cala Millor. It is an ideal setting for a family gathering or "get together" for a large group of friends who want to take time to relax, catch-up and enjoy precious company.

Extremely comfortable, well equipped villa

We stayed at Son Mas in early September, 2016. The property was beautifully prepared for our arrival complete with cot and high chair for the baby. The villa was spacious and very comfortable, with plenty of great bathrooms. The kitchen extremely well equipped and the information pack in the house very comprehensive. We enjoyed eating on the veranda and the pool area was perfect for family relaxation. We very much hope to be back!

Son Mas in April

We stayed at Son Mas in early April 2016. We were a party of ten, 3 generations, age range 6 months to nearly 70 and we all loved it. The setting is rural tranquility but the main road is very close. The airport and wonderful south coast beaches only 20 - 25 minutes away. The accommodation is really spacious and very comfortable.It was prepared immaculately for our arrival and all our needs for the small children, cots, high chairs etc were provided without question. There were also plenty of books, guide books, even some beach toys available to use. The pool is beautiful but of course on the chilly side as the nights were fairly cold. The children loved exploring the spacious grounds. Even hanging out the washing surrounded by wild flowers and accompanied by birdsong including our resident nightingale (one of many in the area) was enjoyable. We can't wait to return next year!

Wonderful holiday

Son Mas is a magical place. Nine of our family stayed here in August 2015 - ages ranging from 3 to 83. We all had the most wonderful time.

Son Mas is amazing - it certainly has the 'wow' factor. So spacious with a very well equipped kitchen. The owners have thought of everything.

We ate lunch and dinner on the terrace nearly every day. The terrace is shady at lunchtime and in the evening you can watch the sun go down,

Our grandsons loved the swimming pool - as did the adults!!

A hire car is essential but large supermarkets are within easy reach in Campos and Felanitx. We visited beaches at Porto Cristo and Cala D'Or and the Aquarium in Palma is spectacular.

Campos and Felanitx are both about 5 miles. Cala D'Or is 25 minutes. Palma is 30 minutes.

Further Details:

We have a part time German caretaker who cleans the pool and the garden and who speaks English. He is also available for any emergencies that arise during your stay. Grocery stores are available in Coll den Rebassa (Continente hypermarche), in Campos and in Felanitx. There is also a local market in Felanitx daily (near the church) and a bigger market every Sunday.
