Apartment 4f, Marina Village Sleeps 4 (2 Bedrooms)

Spacious two bedroom apartment, both bedrooms with luxury en-suite shower rooms. Open plan lounge/dining area with high vaulted ceiling, comfy sofas, dining area and fitted kitchen with all modern conveniences such as dishwasher, washing machine and coffee maker. Small balcony overlooks central courtyard (table and two chairs) and out to the bay while both bedrooms have Juliette balconies, the master bedroom overlooks the tropical gardens of the Capella Resort and beautiful bay. Located through secure doors, on the second floor and accessed by stairs (not ideal for less able guests).

Two private, luxury apartments located right in the heart of the Marina Village complex with its pretty New England styling and looking out to the wonderful Marigot Bay with its impressive collection of sailing boats and mega yachts. One apartment has high vaulted ceilings and oodles of space with a small balcony while the other is very elegant and has one of the best balcony views in Marigot Bay itself. Both have all the mod cons you would need for a holiday home, air conditioning, washing machine, dishwasher, wi-fi, SAT TV and well equipped Italian kitchens. The apartments are set around the central square which is quiet but yet offers small shops and concessions, a supermarket, excellent bakery/café and access to the waterfront and marina. Our guests have free use of the fabulous infinity pools as the five star Capella Resort & Spa which is located next door. The sandy beach is a 2 minute water taxi ride across the bay. A great location if you want to chill out, have a romantic break, family fun, love watching boats, water sports or use it as a base to explore this wonderful tropical island.

Our two holiday apartments in Marigot Bay are owned by the family and get used every year. Of course we want other people to enjoy them as much as we do. Taking a holiday in the Caribbean is so exciting but we understand it can also be a little daunting. That is why we have a local manager who meets and greets you on arrival, shows you around the apartment and immediate area. She is only a phone call away if something goes wrong or you need some advice on where to go or how to book something. We can also arrange airport transfers right to the door, pre arrival shopping if you have a late flight in and for those special occasions flowers or chocolates. The Marina Village is an ideal base to explore or simply stay put for every day of your holiday. Whether you are seeking total relaxation, family fun and water activities or a romantic hideaway, there is something for everyone in Marigot Bay.

What makes this apartment unique

Right next door to the apartments is the Capella Resort where our guests can enjoy five star treatment, free use of the infinity pools, towels and poolside nibbles as well as a well equipped gym. You are also just a few minutes walk from a range of restaurants and bars, a bakery/café, small supermarket and a two minute water taxi ride from Sand Spit beach with its shady palms and places to hire water sport equipment. You don't even need a car! Taxis can ferry you to the bustling capital Castries, the golden beaches of Rodney Bay or the peaceful natural haven on Pigeon Island.

The apartment (7a) is in the prime position in Marigot Bay overlooking the bay which is a mooring to many luxury yachts. Sitting on the spacious balcony you can gaze over the bay or look out to the sea and watch the inhabitants of the beach and glorious sunsets without moving an inch. The apartment it's self is very spacious, tastefully furnished to a high degree of quality with all mod cons. It's bright, clean, airy with the master bedroom being large with access to the balcony. Marigot Bay is a relaxing destination with high end restaurants, hotels and a few shops. You can get water taxis or land taxis to explore the rest of St Lucia. We bought our own fish and produce and made some meals in the very well equipped kitchen and ate them on the balcony as the sun went down. The apartment made the holiday. The back up staff were there and working to make the stay run smoothly but were discreet and non interfering. (Mark and Tracy - June 2012)

Booking Notes:
The rental includes: all utilities (except telephone calls), wi-fi, bed and bath linen, basic household items, maid service and linen change after each week, final cleaning, meet and greet on arrival by our local English manager. A deposit equal to 50% of the total is required within 7 days to confirm your reservation. Final payment is due 6 weeks prior to scheduled arrival. Payment by cheque, BACs or Paypal (subject to charges).

Changeover Day:
We try to offer complete flexibility so there is no set changeover day. Arrival time after 4pm but can be is flexible dependant on availability. Our local manager will meet you on arrival. Departure 10.00 am to allow for our cleaners to prepare for our next guests. We can personally arrange taxi/airport transfers on your behalf for an additional cost, please enquire.

Notes on prices:
We can offer discounts for bookings of three weeks or more. We can also offer a discount for 2 person occupancy during off peak period. The rental includes: all utilities (except telephone), wi-fi, air-con, bed and bath linen, basic household items, maid service and linen change after each week, final cleaning, meet and greet on arrival by our local English manager. There is use of a cot, child's bed and high chair but there is a small extra charge to cover replacement linen. There are laundry appliances in the apartment for your use.

Notes on accommodation: Two spacious bedrooms (one can be a twin or a double) both with use of a separate luxury shower room. Large open plan living room/dining room/kitchen, very well equipped kitchen with all modern conveniences including dishwasher, washing machine/dryer, air conditioning, fans, satellite TV, DVD, wi-fi and interior designed furnishings which echo the style of the Caribbean. Outside: Apartment 4f has a small balcony with table and chairs whilst apartment 7a has a fabulous, large wooden covered balcony the width of the apartment, furnished with some comfortable chairs and recliners. In the tropical landscaped grounds of the neighbouring, luxury Capella Resort (150 yard walk) is the stunning Auriga health and beauty spa where it is possible to pre-book treatments (additional cost) plus several bars and a la carte restaurant. Sand spit beach offers the usual beach facilities such as deck chair hire, umbrellas and Doolittles restaurant where you can purchase food and drinks. There are a number of bars and restaurants dotted around the bay, within walking distance or accessed via the water taxi (2 mintes ride) to the other side of this small but perfectly formed bay.

The rooms were exquisite! Beautiful, comfortable and clean! The property mangers, Cornelius and Pauline were extremely friendly and helpful. We loved having coffee on the balcony and watching the activity in the harbor. The use of the Capella resort facilities was a wonderful bonus! Cannot wait to visit again!!!!

Slice of Heaven

Marine Village is nestled in the heart of Marigot Bay. It is my favorite spot on the Island. Chateau Mygo and Rainforest Hideaway are fantastic restaurants. The apartment is affiliated with Capella and guests are able to reap the benefits of a five star resort for half the price. Karen is a fantastic host. She was flexible and accommodating. The on site property manager is lovely and very responsive. I highly recommend this property!

Charming and priced perfectly.

Marigot Bay is one of the most beautiful parts of St. Lucia. An independent gem in the middle portion of the island. Everything you could want is easily on hand - and the property makes it that much nicer.

Perfectly appointed with all the amenities one could need for a wonderful stay. The owners and the property manager are just wonderful to work with and they know anything you could want to know about the island.

Highly recommended for the adventurous type that doesn't need the guidance of a B&B or all-inclusive.

Living Slow on St Lucia..Love it!

This is a wonderful place to spend a winter get-away. We spent 17 nights at this wonderful airy apartment "sitting on the dock of the bay". The breeze on the very large porch is probably the highlight of our 2 plus weeks. Every morning and every evening you watch Marigot Bay come to life and put itself back to bed. Fabulous boats come and go everyday with crew and guests who all seem awestruck with the beauty of Marigot Bay.

We were able to try every eating establishment in the area including the street food served from simple Caribbean shacks. All the food was excellent. It would be hard to pick a favorite. Chateau Mygo was probably our "go-to" place as you could get excellent Pizza or Pasta dishes with a Lucian Flair but the Indian place next door, Marsala, may offer the best service and our guests ranked it their favorite even though they were not very familiar with Indian food. Be sure to try Julietta's,the Rain Forest and Pirate's Cove as well. The music at Mygo/The Rain Forest and Pirates Cove is fun. You'll hear some of it just coming across the water as you relax on the porch into the evening. You'll like what you hear!

We liked having a complete kitchen and a spacious inside living area but 90% of the time you'll want to be on the porch feeling the breeze. We left things wide open at night and never once turned on the A/C to tell you how comfortable the breeze made it.

Having access to both Capella Resort and it's pools as well as the beach across the Bay near Doolittle's gave us a choice of spots to relax on all the days we had not planned excursions on the water.

We only rented a car for the last 2 days which worked well for us, taking water taxi's for a day going both north (to Rodney Bay/Pigeon Island) and south (to the Piton's) gave us plenty of time to check out other areas.

If you do go, make an effort to have a really special lunch at the Pink Plantation which requires a cab or car as it overlooks Castries.

The apartment is perfect for 4 people, or a small family that will not be bored with a slow pace for a week or more. There is plenty to do and explore but you need to be willing to be independent. This is not an all-inclusive situation where everything is laid out for you, we like that. You feel much more like you have been to St Lucia after spending time here. We would definitely return.

Marigot Bay

The family enjoyed our stay very much. Access to Capella hotel was great. They treated us very well. Everyone we met were very friendly and helpful. They didn't mind answering our many questions. Karen was very accommodating with our last minute booking and greatly appreciated. The apartment had all the basics and was in good condition. The island is very beautiful. We rented a car for 3 days but should have taken one for the whole week. Travel is typically slow due to the mountainous nature of the island so, plan extra time to just get around. We did find eating out to be very expensive compared to other islands we have visited,so ate in most nights. Grocery prices are the usual for the Carribean.
