Casa Rabatti awaits you in an ancient building, transformed in the 19th century, and today equipped with all comforts to make you enjoy an unforgettable experience enlivened by a familiar and friendly atmosphere, offering you ideal solutions for short or long term stays. The premises overlook the common corridor where the well built in 1823 was brought to light and recovered thanks to a skilful architectural work.

A peaceful place with a beautiful apartment and very friendly hosts. Everything was perfect.

We loved staying at this property in Florence. The apartment was beautiful and perfect for our family of four. The garden was a peaceful place to sit and enjoy a glass of wine. Sergio, his wife and mother were incredibly friendly and lovely to talk to. Highly recommended. Bellissimo! Emma and family.

The lemon house in the garden

The traditional high vaulted ceiling of the building and tall double doors once allowed the lemon trees to be brought in over winter, now it is a lovely one-bedroom sanctuary in a private and quiet courtyard garden 15 minutes walk from the major tourist sites of Florence city center. Florence is a real and living city and Casa Rabatti is a traditional Florence city house in an authentic area with small general stores and narrowly paved streets. Within a few minutes walk of the House you are beneath the towering decorated walls of the Duomo and the wide squares and pedestrianized streets leading to the Uffizi and Ponte Vecchio. We browsed the markets, visited the churches, gardens and galleries, drank coffee and ate pastries. We loved the city and walked miles, returning each day to our courtyard house to cool down or freshen up before visiting some of the many city-center restaurants. Our host, Sergio was helpful and responsive when we needed assistance, we felt welcome and comfortable. There were inevitably some mosquitos in the evenings and we took care to close the doors and enjoy the benefit of the air-conditioning.

High quality comfortable accommodation in a good location

We have really enjoyed our stay here. Sergio and Patricia are very friendly and helpful when needed, and Marcella is so welcoming with her happy smiley face. The apartment is finished to a high standard and is fully equipped. The bedroom is up on a mezanine floor which creates ample kitchen, dining and sitting room space. Our apartment (Limonaia) was separate to the main house, which meant we could enjoy the garden space and the outdoor covered sitting/dining area. The location is quiet, but close for walking to centre or the railway station. There a plenty of bus routes nearby. Close by also are small shops, a supermarket, restaurants too. Overall we can recommend Casa Rabatti.

A wonderful place to stay in Florence!

On our first visit to Florence we could not have chosen better accommodation. We stayed 6 days in the House Rabatti 1823 La Limonaia apartment and it was superb – built to a high specification, very clean and very comfortable. The garden was a special restful delight, open to the sun from morning to evening with shade provided by the olive and lemon trees. The apartment is situated in a quiet residential area yet within easy walking distance to the main railway station and all the sights of Florence. The Central Market is 5 minutes away. Sergio, Patricia and Grandma were delightful hosts and very helpful at all times. We hope to return to Florence soon and will certainly want to stay at La Limonaia again. We would have no hesitation in recommending this property highly to anyone visiting this amazing city.

Trip to Florence

My husband and I spent 4 days in Florence in September. Serge was the best host. He greeted us and took us for a tour of the property. The room was very clean and spacious. The terrace was a lovely added bonus. The location of the property was perfect. Serge was the best host and we really enjoyed our time in Florence. I highly recommend booking this space for your visit.
