On the ground floor, there is a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, lounge and a wc. The lounge opens via french windows directly onto the terrace overlooking the swimming pool. The swimming pool is heated, there is lighting for inside and around the pool. Comfortable sunloungers and a outside table/chairs for dining. An oak staircase leads from the lounge to a mezzanine with additional seating for relaxing. This leads to a double bedroom with fine views over the garden. The luxury bathroom facilities have been thoughtfully integrated into one corner of this room. The garden is on 3 levels and is filled with flowers and shrubs. There are plenty of places to rest and relax, and a barbecue is available for use. The grange is situated to the left of the main house (as pictured in the "photo from the parking") and guests benefit also from the use of the land of the main house. This provides guests with a peaceful and undisturbed private holiday with lots of outdoor space.

A wonderful place in a superb location, it is truly special. The cottage is furnished to an excellent standard with a high quality finish and a beautiful place to stay. The private pool is also excellent and is big enough to swim in and relax. Weather you want a romantic break just to chill out and do nothing or get out and about, you couldn’t ask for a better location. The Grange itself is in a wonderful position surrounded by rolling countryside covered in miles upon miles of vineyards all waiting to be explored. This I would highly recommend, the wines are wonderful and of excellent quality and the location of the property actually makes it possible to walk to the winery’s if you fancy tasting some of the local and best wines around. The local villages are also easily accessible with a copious amount of quality restaurants serving amazing and gastronomic food. To sum it up I’d say book it and go and love it for what it is.

We have been enchanted with the area around Beaune and Burgundy for many years, as it has some of the worlds greatest wines, wonderful food and friendly people. Burgundy, is extremely picturesque with the old limestone houses villages dotted into a vineyard landscape. Our village is close to Beaune, and gives us both the freedom to enjoy the peace and quite of the countryside yet is still close enough to the town of Beaune to enjoy shopping, museums, restaurants, wine tasting and other events.

Activity and Interests

Travel:

Lyon is the closest airport (aprox 1.5 hours). Recommend Car Hire (or use of car).

Beaune is the closest town, this has a train station and cars can be hired near to the train station.

Distances:

Echevronne is a village but does not have any shops only winemakers/cheese makers. There is a large supermarket on the outskirts of Beaune only 8km away.

Further Details:

There are lots of fantastic restaurants and winemakers here, the area has beautiful homes made from limestone (similar in style to the cotswolds), lovely countryside and great walks.

  • Outside: The Grange is the converted barn seperate from the main house (which we use on an occassional base, when guests are not in the Grange). The Grange therefore has acesss to the large garden of the main house. Adjacent to the Grange is the private heated swimming pool. Around the pool are sunloungers, tables, chair, parasol, barbecue. The gardens are secluded from the neighbours, despite being in the centre of the village and are south facing. We have plenty of trees, so you can always find a shady spot elsewhere in the garden. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen are provided. The property is cleaned and linen is changed at the end of your stay. Other: We now have a second property located, next door, with its own garden and two additional bedrooms for guests looking to bring friends or family.
