Roquetas de mar, penthouse apartment on prom, outstanding sea view and pool view, all mod cons including Full SKY and fiber optic broadband.

Las Alondras was built 15 years and the garden is maintained all year round. The apartment block is in the centre of the complex and all entrances to the centre have security gates, and each block has security doors. All apartments have a security phone and buzzer to the centre complex and blocks. The complex is half way between the port and the first urbanisation. Both destinations are accessible along the promenade. Only walkers and bikers are allowed on the promenade.

“To be honest, that was the cleanest holiday let I have ever used. There were also plenty of things in the apartment (ie. hairdryer, washing machine, towels, extra bedding) that I don't normally expect when I rent a holiday home. This made life much easier. The other point worth mentioning is everything worked! I had absolutely no problems with the apartment at all.

The view was beautiful. The pool was very clean and we spent a lot of time in there.

The transfers were not only timely but very helpful and friendly. Dave and Lesley are lovely people and were pretty much on hand should I have needed their help at any time, very reassuring.”

The pool was well used by the boys and they had a lovely holiday. Both described the holiday as 'Brilliant'.

Was very clean and tidy on arrival. We were very happy with the apparent.

David did pick us up at the airport. Excellent service and he was on time and did not cause us concern.

Notes on accommodation: The apartment has a lovely bright airy feel to it, it has a large window and balcony overlooking the ocean with a patio door leading to the balcony. It has Wi-Fi unlimited broadband, Uk tv channels BBC, ITV Ch 4 etc, full Sky sports package and ESPN, Sky Movies, Internet on TV. Good DVD and book library, central control Air-conditioning in all areas, modern well equipped fitted kitchen, close to bars and restaurants. Outside: There are 3 communal terraces above the apartment which I have strung a few clothes lines in the middle terrace. The large pool is surrounded by a grass area with a few palm trees. The pool is only open from mid June to mid September but has a lifeguard on duty 6 days a week. There are ample showers dotted around the garden and the pool is hoovered daily and kept immaculate. All gates to the pool area are securely locked to stop non residents using it. There are Two English bars outside the complex Bar Southern - (Kevin and Julianne), J J's bar (Jason and Laura), they both do English food and Internet access. Both bars have weekly bingo. Linen/towels All linen and a number of beach towels supplied. The apartment will be opened up and clean on your arrival and cleaned after your departure. A charge of £50 will be charged for cleaning and laundry - pay on arrival. Other: Balcony with panoramic views is furnished with Rattan furniture. It also has a retractable canopy.

Fantastic Apartment in a stunning location

My wife and i were looking for a nice relaxing break and i don't think we could have picked a nicer property the description really doesn't do it justice. We have stayed in Roquetas many times and Michael and Christine's apartment was the best by some considerable distance. From the minute we met Dave at the Airport to when he picked us up for our journey home everything was first class. i have no hesitation in recommending the Apartment. And an extra bonus was weather in the 80's!!at the end of October.

Apartment overlooking the beach

What a find this two bed apartment was! overlooking the beach in a fantastic location. no need for a car as everything you will need is in walking distance.

This property has all the comforts of home, including a filtered drinking water tap, smart TV, very fast internet connection with full sky package. the owners have thought of everything to make it a home from home, even beach towels and cool box provided.

The grounds are gated and access for residents only via key, the pool is large and has a resident lifeguard. there are a couple of beach bars and restaurants 50 yards away.

The apartment is situated on the top floor and has 3 short flights of stairs to get to it, great for keeping fit.

I would recommend this apartment for couples and those with two children, you will never get tired of sitting on the balcony looking at the beach.

Arrived back four days ago and did not want to leave.The apartment is fully furnished with EVERY thing you could possibly need.The position and views are stunning even down to drinking water from a filtered tap.I traveled with my son and two grand children who loved all of it.The pool is perfect and very well maintained and a life guard.The resort itself is great for familys,we ate at English and Spanish bars and never had a bad meal.We also visited Almeria for shopping and to see the castle which is well worth a visit and the bus is right next to the comlex and cheap.I would recommend the apartment to anyone that wants a really good holiday in second to none accomodation.As for the stairs I am seventy this year and did not find them a problem and we will be back.

I am 62 this year and I will climb those stairs all day long to get to that balcony - heaven. You will be welcome back any time. On the upside as the grandchildren get older they will be able to give you a bit of help with the stairs - a few euro will go a long way. Many thanks M and C

Apartment view worth the money alone

Just spent 10 days in this apartment and cannot fault it. The views of the sea/beach and pool are superb and being a top floor apartment the balcony was completely out in the fresh air. The living area is spacious and you are spoilt by being able to receive most British TV Channels. Only my wife and I stayed here but the apartment could cater comfortably for up six people with two bedrooms and a pull out settee and camp bed. All utilities you could ask for are available. There was air conditioning as well as a decent sized bathroom with a bath and superb power shower. The kitchen area is small but everything you need is there.

Would recommend this apartment to anyone not just for the apartment alone but for its location, not forgetting an excellent swimming pool in the complex which was fully observed by a life guard. We used the taxi service for airport transfers provided by the owners agent and the service was second to none. If you want peace of mind then use this service. No reflection on the apartment at all as it was marvellous but Roquetas De Mar does not have many English only restaurants in fact during our stay we only came across a dozen or so Brits. The the shopping areas are fairly well spread out across the resort with a huge shopping Plaza 2/3 km away from the apartment. Bus services are good and cheap. If you visit this apartment I am sure you will enjoy it.

Lovely apartment

This is a really lovely spacious apartment in a great area of RDM. Extremely well equipped, clean and of a high standard with quality furnishings, linen etc. The complex is quiet, safe, secure and very well maintained. We stayed for 2 weeks and have no hesitation in recommending. Not for less mobile as stairs can be a challenge but good exercise!

Relaxation at it's best

My daughter and I spent 10 days in Spain and the apartment was perfect for us. Clean and well maintained. It contained all of the amenities we needed with a few extras. The kitchen was well stocked with all we needed. The location of the unit was excellent as it had a gorgeous view and it was close to super markets and many shops and restaurants. The apartment provided lounge chairs and umbrellas for the beach which was just outside the door of the complex.The promenade was right outside the complex and it stretched the full length of the town. People were so friendly!!! A great spot

Special interest holidays:

A trip by car up the mountains towards Sierra Nevada is a lovely day out. There is a cool box in the apartment so take a picnick. The water park is just a short taxi ride away - I dont know when it is open/closed. There is a Go-Kart circuit just outside the old town. During the summer there is free entertainment i.e. Bands etc down in the old port. All the hotels do some sort of show, there are loads of bus tours on a daily basis to local places of interest. Beach casting from the beach is allowed, there is some fishing gear in the apartment. There are 2 trains and horse drawn carrige on the go all the time. The Submarine boat runs regularly from the old port in the summer. The new Theatre in the old town hosts concerts regularly and there are bull fights in the old town bullring - bring a picnic - it goes on for hours. The best on of all is lounging by the pool.


The beach is just outside the gates of the complex. There are lifeguards on duty during the season.


The nearest airport is Almeria - approx 35 minute drive, bus and car hire is available at the airport and also at the resort, I will supply details when you book the apartment, I rarely rent a car when I am there. Easyjet, Monarch,. BMI Baby, Ryanair, Jet 2., Thomas Cook plus some other budget carriers all fly into Almeria, Iberia also fly in from Spanish airports.


Roquetas old town is about 1km from the complex. There is a regular bus service for about a Euro each way. There are 2 Urbanisations down the promenade with bars, restaurants and shops. There is also a huge Mall on the outskirts of the old town - the bus also drops there. The bus stop is just outside the front gate to the right but be careful coming back as the bus takes a slightly different route.

Further Details:

The nearest supermarket is the Margar about 100 metres from complex but there are plenty of supermarkets about. Both Mercadonna supermarkets will do deliveries for a small fee. All supermarkets cater for the British tourist. There are 2 big hotels a short distance from the apartment and they allow the use of their facilities. They also have shows and various other activities especially in the summer.

Changeover Day:
We are flexible with changeover dates but the minimum stay is 7 nights and a portion pro rata for nights after that i.e. if you stay for 5 nights then we charge for 7, if you stay for 10 nights then we charge for 10 nights.

Notes on prices:
For lets of over 4 weeks low and mid season we may negociate depending on availability.

As I have a Merchant Paypal account (Verified) I can accept Paypal and Mastercard, Discover, American Express through Paypal. You do not need a Paypal account to do this, just follow the instructions on the invoice.

When you are ready to make a booking let me know and I will send you an invoice for the deposit and when the invoice is paid I will block off your dates on the calendar. Even if you do not have a Paypal account you can go through the process and pay with the credit cards listed above.

I strongly advise you telephone me or indeed any owner before you part with any money, this is my advise and indeed the advice of Owners Direct.

Booking deposit of £100 is required to secure the booking, I have a verified Merchant Paypal account and I can accept major credit card payment through this account. The balance of the fee is paid to the agent prior to receiving the keys. The cleaning fee of £50 is also payable at this time.
