About this property

Sunset house

Sunset house is a self-contained apartment just outside the village of Cartama. It has a bedroom, a kitchen and eating room, a bathroom with a washing machine and a living room. You will be our only guests!
The small accommodation is set in a beautiful peaceful garden with a private terrace for you to use only and has incredible mountain views. The apartment is a short walk from Cartama, a traditional Spanish village with local bars, restaurants and supermarkets, and is a 20 minute drive from Malaga town centre and beach.

The apartment is attached to our main house and has a lot of privacy. It is small but practical and complete. The bedroom has a double bed, There is a kitchen and a living room, and the bathroom has a shower. A selection of games & books is provided, Wifi is available. In the apartment you will find a file with practical information, wifi codes, activities nearby and other places of interest in the surrounding area.
Through the main gate you park your car at our terrain. From there you reach the apartment with its own front door. A side of the apartment you find a beautiful spacious private terrace. The big pool is only shared with us, you will be our only guests! A side of the pool there is surrounded by orange trees, another private terrace with lying beds. The finca has all quietness from the countryside, with stunning views and sunsets over the valley and mountains.

I am a graduated Spanish teacher. If you are interested in a vacation combined with Spanish classes, adapted to your level and wishes, please let me know!

Cartama is an ancient, small and friendly town. There is no tourism here, people are living the Spanish rhythm. The apartment is on the outskirts of the town, approx. a 5-minute walk. The town has a selection of bars, restaurants, shops and supermarkets. In Cartama and the wider area there lots of activities to undertake, like horse riding, rock climbing, hiking, Caminito del Rey, el choro, golf and of course the beach. From the apartment you are within 3 minutes on the highway, from there it is easy access to Malaga, Ronda, Sevilla or all the major cities from Andalusia.

Cartama town has a bus and train station. Although we advise to come by car.
The apartment is easily reachable, the roads are very good.
Malaga town is a 20 minute drive by car, Ronda 1 hour.
Malaga Airport and beach 20 minutes by car.

Klein aber fein

Das Apartment ist in der Anzeige ziemlich gut und korrekt beschrieben. Es ist klein, aber für uns 2 war es völlig ausreichend und in Ordnung. Es war alles vorhanden, was es für einen wunderschönen Kurzurlaub braucht, zudem war alles sehr sauber und ordentlich. Dazu kommt ein für den Gast reservierter Bereich des Gartens mit Liegen/Tisch und Stühlen. Der Bereich schließt sich direkt dem Eingang des Apartments an, er wurde von der Gastgeberin nie betreten und ist auch sonst uneinsehbar vom Rest des Gartens bzw. dem Haus der Gastgeberin. Von diesem Teil des Gartens hat man einen grandiosen Ausblick über das angrenzende Tal, abends sogar mit einem wunderschönen Sonnenuntergang. Der Pool ist im vorderen, gemeinsam genutzten Bereich des Gartens. Zu unserer Reisezeit war es noch zu kalt um den Pool auszuprobieren, aber er sah, genauso wie der Rest des Gartens und des Hauses, sauber, ordentlich und gut gepflegt aus. Die Gastgeberin selbst war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Sie hat ein exaktes Gespür dafür, den Gästen die notwendige Privatsphäre zu gönnen und gleichzeitig jederzeit hilfsbereit zur Stelle zu sein. Genauso freundlich, ruhig und wirklich zurückhaltend sind die beiden Töchter der Gastgeberin. Selbst der Hauskater kannte die Regeln der Privatsphäre so gut, dass er sich im Gartenteil für die Gäste nie blicken ließ, obwohl wir ihn einfach nur unglaublich süß fanden. Im Ort Cártama gibt es einige kleine Restaurants, in denen man für kleines Geld lecker essen kann. Es gibt eine Bank, Supermarkt und verschiedene weitere kleine Läden, ohne den üblichen Touristen-Auflauf. Wir haben den Urlaub, die Ruhe, die Abgeschiedenheit und die verschiedenen Unternehmungsmöglichkeiten einfach nur genossen und es uns gut gehen lassen. Ein großes Dankeschön an die Gastgeberin an dieser Stelle, sie hätte nichts besser machen können!

Die Wohnung ist sehr eng. Sie ist höchstens für 2 Personen geeignet, es gibt sonst keinen Platz für die Koffer. Es gibt keine Klimaanlage. Die Mückenschutzgitter waren nicht mehr so perfekt. Im Ort selber ist es extrem schwierig eine einigermassen gute Essmöglichkeit zu finden.

fantastic

I loved this place. The hosts were lovely and the apartment was clean, quiet and well equipped. The town of Cartema is very cute and great hiking trails. I will be back! loved my 2 week stay here.

Easy reachable, close to Malaga centre, the beach and airport. In the outskirts of Cartama, so just a small walk to town. The house and it's surroundings are rural. The pace of time is Spanish here. A huge pool makes the cherry.
