This second-floor apartment is a privately-owned holiday home, available to rent from May to September. It is set in Pollentia Mar, a luxury development just one minute from the sea. Fresh, light, furnished in modern style, the main living/dining area opens onto a balcony with both sea and mountain views. The master bedroom has a kingsize bed and private ensuite bathroom; the twin-bedded second room has a separate shower and wc. A modern, well-equipped kitchen with ceramic hob makes holiday cooking a delight, although you'll find plenty of great restaurants, bars, cafes and shops within easy walking distance. The clean sandy beach and safe bathing make this resort ideal for families, while efficient public transport, car and bicycle hire make Puerto Pollensa an ideal base for exploring the many beautiful beaches and fascinating towns around the island. A swimming pool, sunbathing terrace and lawned area is available for residents and their guests.
About the Owner
The apartment is owned by Alex and Sarah Fairtlough. We live in London: Alex is a housing manager and Sarah, a former journalist, is a writer and publisher for a heritage organisation. We have two teenage daughters who came to Mallorca as babies and still enjoy holidaying here with mum and dad!

“Mallorca holds a special place in our hearts. Alex has family connections here, and we've been bringing our children to stay in Puerto Pollensa, with its typically Spanish family-friendly welcome, for many years. After a particularly lovely holiday in summer 2010, and admiring the newly-built Pollentia Mar apartments we finally decided to take the plunge. We've enjoyed holidays here at all times of year; the central location of the apartment means everyone can do their own thing, or enjoy trips out together. We love to sit on the balcony and watch the mountains change as light falls at different times of day; we enjoy coming in spring and autumn when the resort is more peaceful, but we love the buzz of the lively summer and the blissful sunshine, warm sea and blue skies!”
Activity and Interests
Pollentia Mar is situated 50 metres from the safe, sandy local beach. Cala San Vincente, with pretty bays and stunning coastline is a 10 minute drive away. Alucudia beach is a 15 minute drive away, with the wide expanse and exhilarating waves of Ca'an Picafort a further 10 minutes along the bay.
Palma Airport is approximately 50 minutes away by car and costs around 70 Euros in a taxi. A 'resort hoppa' bus is also available from the airport. Car hire can be arranged at either the airport or locally. We use the firm Centauro, who are reliable and reasonably priced. (Their courtesy bus leaves from the first floor concourse at the airport.) The local bus station is a short walk from the apartment.
Puerto Pollensa is a 50 minute drive from Palma.
Pollensa Town is 10 minutes by car
Cala San Vincente is 10 minutes by car.
The bay, old town and port of Alcudia are 15 minutes away by car.
Sa Pobla is about 20 minutes by car and has train access into central Palma, where a further train can take you to Soller on the famous narrow gauge railway line through the mountains.
Don't miss the caves at Campanet - about 20 minutes from the apartment.
Puerto Pollensa is an appealing resort in lots of different ways. The backdrop of the Tramuntana mountains, the pretty bay, pine trees and picturesque harbour provide a great setting for a relaxing holiday. The main resort beach offers a wide range of watersports, including windsurfing, paragliding and pedalos. You'll find an abundance of restaurants offering a wide choice, from traditional Mallorcan home cooking to superior pizza! Supermarkets and shops are all within easy reach and many stay open late into the evening. Local beaches are clean and well-maintained. Cap de Formentor is a popular day trip destination with boats departing twice daily from the harbour. Coach trips and a local bus service provide ample opportunity to visit some of the other colourful towns, local markets, the elegant capital Palma, and the spectacular mountain towns and villages. Car and bicycle hire are also available locally. Keen walkers, particularly in the spring and autumn, can base themselves in Puerto Pollensa and will enjoy the variety of trails across the island, while families will find this a particularly easy and entertaining resort - many return year after year!

To confirm a booking, a 25% non-refundable deposit is required. The balance is due 8 weeks before the date of arrival. If a booking is made within 8 weeks of arrival then the total amount is due on booking.
Cancellation: up to 8 weeks prior to arrival - no charge. 8-4 weeks: owners will retain 50% of balance. 4-2 weeks: the owners will retain 75% of balance. 2-0 weeks: the owners retain 100% of the balance. We reserve the right to cancel a booking if the balance is not paid on time.
Although we would prefer to have Saturday changeover days (July and August), limited flexibility may be possible.
Notes on prices:
Prices shown are for the apartment per week. 10% discount for booking of 14 nights. Booking payments can be made by debit/credit card via electronic transfer in GB pounds. The property is available from 3pm on day of arrival through to 10am on the day of departure to allow for cleaning and preparation of the apartment.

Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bath and towels are provided. For stays of 10 days or more a mid-stay linen and towel change plus quick clean service is provided. Other: The living room has patio doors that open out onto a balcony, with an exterior breakfast/drinks table and chairs. We ask that smokers use the balcony only.
