Beautiful 3rd floor apartment overlooking the sea, marina and ancient town of Lagos. Large terrace with built in bbq, an ideal holiday home away from home and hosts spectacular views. Situated within a child friendly complex with gated swimming pool, children’s play area, large sunbathing area and small gym. Furniture is clean and contemporary. It offers a/c, dvd and English tv channels accessed via internet. The apartment is in an excellent location and is situated within minutes walking of the historic town of Lagos and all amenities including abundant restaurants, shops and supermarkets. The impressive marina is only a short stroll away. Plentiful clean, safe and family friendly beaches are within 10 minutes walk with others a short drive away. Ideally located for access to the bus and train station should you decide to explore the beautiful surrounding area. Golf enthusiastics are well catered for with 4 courses within 10-20 mins drive.

About Jacky

We live in the UK. We have had the good fortune to be able to enjoy many holidays, Lagos in particular my husband and I are both from very large families so the apartment will be greatly utilised! We both enjoy many sports, my husband Golf, hence purchasing an apartment in the Algarve, whilst our son loves the water. Myself I enjoy the sun, sea, sand and sangria!

Why Jacky chose Lagos

I first visited Lagos some 25 years ago. Lagos was only a fraction of the size it is today. I fell in love with the quaint little town and marina. It was very relaxing and held a special charm. Having now been married for a number of years and having a family of our own we have visited the Algarve on numerous occaisons staying at different resorts. It is only in recent years that my husband, family and in-laws started to visit the town. The apartment is so conveniently placed that a car is not needed as everything is within 10-15 minutes walking distance. The complex is clean, well maintained and secure. The area is safe, friendly and holds a special magic.

What makes this apartment unique

We enjoy the benefits of not having to rush around being stressed that everyday life brings. Sitting on the balcony, sipping the odd glass of wine and starring out over the views where you can lose yourselves for the odd hour or so. The pace of life is so much more relaxing and all amenities are so close by that the apartment is like "home from home". The apartment has the use of a large shared pool which when it gets a little too hot you can indulge in or alternatively the beaches are within walking distance. On the other hand you can always stroll around the Marina and stop off for a quick earned drink before retiring back to the apartment.

Notes on accommodation: No smoking please inside the apartment. No groups under the age of 30 years. The apartment is fully air conditioned, the units can also be used as heating in winter. All rooms have fitted curtains, voiles (exception in the kitchen) and electric shutters. For families with young children we can provide travel cots and highchairs at an extra cost. We have aimed to provide a high standard of accommodation, comfort and cleanliness. Important note: travel insurance is guest’s responsibility and we are not liable for injury or damage to personal belongings during the rental period. There is a safe fitted in the main wardrobe for client's use. Also the apartment is fitted with smoke, and carbon monoxide alarms in addition to fire blanket, extinguisher and first aid box. TV in bedroom is not independent (can only watch the channel which is being view on main TV in lounge). Can let as a one bedroom apartment as a bedroom and bathroom can be locked off. The grounds are landscaped to a high standard and boasts ample sunbathing areas which are clean and well maintained. The balcony hosts a small storage cupboard which houses cleaning materials. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Weekly cleaning, towel and linen change (after 7 days) More frequent cleaning, towel and linen change is available at an extra cost. Luxury apartment. Best Location in Lagos

This was our second visit to this wonderful apartment (see my previous review sep 2015).It is exactly as described on the web. You will have no problems booking this apartment direct with the owner, Jacky she is very efficient my security deposit was returned to my account within 3days of returning home.

.The local agent Sandra takes care of you very well the apartment is kept spotlessly clean. Very much a home from home, reliable Wifi, bluetooth speaker and all British TV programs available on large wide screen TV.

This apartment is in the best location in Lagos, easy walking distance to all the attractions of Lagos. There is a Pingo supermarket 5 minutes walk away.

Excellent apartment

A great 2 bedroom apartment with great views of the sea and marina.A real home from home with a very spacious living area kitchen and two good sized bedrooms.The sky channels and DVD player were great for the kids to chill out too after a day in the sun.We had a BBQ one night and it was really easy to light.The swimming pool is a good size and is well maintained with plenty of sun loungers and there is also a small park which suited our younger children.Apartment is in a great location and there are quite a few bars just a few minutes walk away.I would have no hesitation staying here again.We received our security deposit very quickly when we returned home so everything was handled very professionally.

Laid back in Lagos

Just back from a fantastic eight day holiday at this super apartment in Lagos. The apartment and the complex are in a great location for easy walking access of restaurants, the marina, supermarkets, beaches, the bus and train stations, all of the old town (and more). The apartment and complex are beautifully maintained and clean and we felt very safe and secure. The main apartment faces the marina and the bay, and gets the morning sun which meant that after sunbathing down by the pool, you have somewhere in shade to relax. The barbecue is fantastic, so easy to light, very sturdy and adjustable and just right for cooking the superb fish bought fresh from the fish market which is a short walk away. We found that because of the electric shutters on the windows we were able to keep the apartment cool during the day even during the very hottest day. We hardly needed to use the air conditioning. The main bedroom has plenty of wardrobe space and hangers and a very handy safe for valuables. We didn't try the jacuzzi bath but I'm sure that would be great in cooler weather. The kitchen is well equipped but we ate out most nights so didn't use the oven. Often we've found that fridges struggle to properly keep food and drinks cool but no such problems with the very good fridge freezer in this apartment. Dishwasher, washing machine all did what they needed to do, and although we didn't use the television much it was a great size and has access to all the main UK channels. We did use the very good wifi which was very useful for catching up on social media without using expensive data roaming.

The owner and agent were very responsive to emails and our arrival at the apartment and I would have no hesitation in recommending others in making a booking.

Fabulous Apartment,wonderful sea views

We had a wonderful 30day holiday in this apartment.It is exactly as described in the listing.The Wifi is very reliable.Has a very good blue tooth speaker and large screen TV with English stations.The large balcony has very comfortable furniture and wonderful sea views.This apartment block has the best location in Lagos.Short walk to supermarket,marina and the old town where there is a huge choice of restaurants.The apartment,pool area and gardens are maintained to a hire standard.Every thing is spotlessly clean.Sandra was lovely and looked after us well during our stay.I would highly recommend it for couples or family holidays.The bus ,train station are only a short walk from the apartment so car hire is not essential

Location

Car: not necessary

Special interest holidays:

There are many activities available in Lagos including sailing and other water sports, paragliding, jeep safari, dolphin spotting, day cruises, fishing, mountain biking, theme and water parks. Aqualand, Alcantarilha - An all inclusive waterpark. Dolphin Seafari, Lagos - This is a must if you enjoy the thrill of being out on the water. Sailing (Bom Dia), Lagos - Sailing can be a relaxing and magical experience if the ocean is calm. Bom Dia offers a variety of sailing excursions from Lagos to Sagres including BBQ cruises and sunset cruises. Zoo, Lagos - This zoo nestled in the country village of Barão São João, provides both an entertaining and educational experience for adults and children alike. Zoo Marine, Guia - Zoo Marine is a favourite with children. Jeep safari, a chance to experience the wild rugged inland Algarve with guides that pride themselves on there unrivalled knowledge of the area. Please google for further information.

Coast/Beach:

Lagos has several beautiful beaches. Meia Praia and Batata Beach are 10 -15 minute walk while Praia Dona Ana, Pinhão, Camilo and Porto de Mós are within 10 minutes drive. Sagres is home place for surfers and within 35-40 minutes drive (a bus service is available from Lagos). Lux, Burgau and Saleema small villages offering family friendly and safe beaches can be reached within a 20 -25 minute drive.

Travel:

Faro airport is approximately 57 miles from Lagos and is around 50 -60 minutes drive away via the motorway, A22, however toll fees have now come into force, most hire companies fit a transponder or charge a credit card for the fees, please check small print on car hire agreement. Many companies on the internet offer car hire and resort transfers either by private taxi or shared transfer.

Distances:

There are lots of small village and places of interest within 10 – 30 minutes drive from Lagos. Odiáxere - A picturesque village of white walled houses. Nearby there are panoramic views over Lagos bay. Barragem da Bravura - A man made lake stretching out beneath broad, mountainous horizons. Bensafrim - A typical small town, surrounded by hills, looking down on the sea. Luz - A fishing port nestling between cliffs are only a few to mention.

Banks: Hours are usually 08:30 - 15:00 Monday to Friday (closed weekends), you can use your bank card at most ATMs to withdraw local currency (Euros €), service fees may apply to each withdrawal from ATMs.

Buses Lagos: The local "A ONDA Buses", offer a great and modern local bus system in Lagos with stops ideally located, the buses are reasonable priced and superb for zipping around town, to the beaches and even to neighbouring towns.

Lunch Shutdown: With the exception of the large supermarkets and shopping centres, most shops close from 13:00 - 15:00pm.

Taxis: There is a taxi stand with plenty of taxis (most of which are Mercedes) at the Lagos Town Waterfront, right at Swirl Sculpture Roundabout taxi fares in and around Lagos vary between 4-5 Euro but it is always better to ask before you get in.

You really must devote a day to roaming around the old town. There is an abundance of historical sites and intricate architecture. The endless pedestrian streets with outdoor restaurants and coffee shops, and of course the boutique shops are sure to round out your day.
