Overview

About the property

C4181

This apartment overlooks the sensational Jandia beach which has fine golden sand and extends for 14 kilometers. Most of the beach is clothes optional. Jandia is in the relatively unspoiled south of Fuerteventura. The private balcony which is south facing gets and has great views of the spectacular evening sunsets. There are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants close to the apartment with 2 small supermarkets within 150 meters. Fuerteventura is a duty free island. There are 24 hr medical facilities and a dentist close by. Being close to the Sahara desert the summers are hot and the winters warm with little rain, thus there is an all year round holiday season.

Notes:
Notes on accommodation: The apartment is in the middle of Jandia separated from the beach only by a nature reserve which is approximately 200 yds wide, access to the beach is via wooden bridges crossing the nature reserve. There is a 4 lane walking, jogging, cycling track running alongside most of the beach. Apartmento 8016 is on the ground floor and is on an elevated site which provides an excellent view of the beach and sea, access is via an elevator from the street level. The apartment is in one of the oldest buildings in Jandia and because tourists mingle with the very friendly locals it is easy to quickly feel part of the community. Outside: At the street level there are relaxing bars, restaurants, shops and ice cream parlours in both directions. Jandia is next to the old fishing village of Morro Jable at the south west end of Fuerteventura and is well known for its 14 kilometer ,beach of fine golden sand. Most of the beach is clothes optional. At night Jandia is friendly, busy and safe, a choice of relaxing bars or bars with some live entertainment. Morro Jable fishing village can be walked to using a charming paved footpath running along the edge of the sea, here are some very Spanish shops, waterside restaurants, typically Spanish street restaurants, bars and tapas bars (some serving food until 1 am ). Taxis are easily available and inexpensive. Morro Jable has recently been pedestrianized and now many bars and restaurants have tabled and chairs in the street.

A wonderful week

  • 5 of 5

We were met as promised by Colin who took us to the apartment and explained everything we needed to know about the apartment. There was a very generous welcome pack at the apartment and all crockery and cutlery was spotlessly clean, which was very pleasing. The equipment and furnishings are of a high quality, with plenty of storage space for clothing, etc. Additionally, if required, beach tents, wind breakers, etc were all available. The location of the apartment meant that the balcony was sheltered and therefore it was pleasant to sit out all evening. We did not eat out as everything we needed was in the apartment, so are unable to comment on the local restaurants and bars. We will have no hesitation in returning to this apartment.

Nice and well equipped apartment with all necessary stuff for the beach, friendly owner,

Nice place for holidays, we've had nice time, but we weren't lucky for the weather, didn't enjoyed the very intense strong wind, with the sand everywhere, and big waves almost every day, weren't ideal for nice long swim.

The beach is very clean, long with white sand, very clean ocean, good fish in nearby traditional fish restaurant in Morro Jable right next to the sea, funny chipmunks, great shopping for fantastic prices.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your kind revue, so sorry that you were unfortunate with the weather, in 8 years of living here i cannot remember winds so strong and for so many days. It can be no consolation but for the last 9 days there has been virtually no wind and very calm seas. Yes there are plenty of great restaurants and i have met many visitors staying in all-inclusive hotels that choose to eat out every night. Thank you once again for your revue and i am pleased that you had a nice time, best wishes, colin

Wow!! Much more than expected!

  • 5 of 5

We have just returned from a truly fabulous four weeks in apartment 2 (the red one). There is not a lot that we can add to previous reviews. Both apartments are furnished and maintained to a very high standard and are ideally located for easy access to bars, restaurants, shops and, of course, the wonderful beach just across the road. With regards to the beach, the only items you need to pack are beach wear ( unless you don't bother with them, of course). The welcome packs are by far the most comprehensive we have ever come across. Colin and Sam are wonderful hosts who really do care that you have a great holiday - they certainly helped make ours something special and we will most definitely be returning. Check out the music scene in Morro Jable and, if you like rock and they are playing, we recommend Afterheat band.

Thanks again Colin and Sam and look forward to seeing you again. Bev and Jack

Excellent

  • 5 of 5

This apartment is in a central location close to beach, bars, restaurants, shops etc and has masses of free parking outside.

The apartment feels surprisingly spacious, is exceptionally well-equipped and Colin the owner is extremely generous in providing copious supplies of the essentials. He is always available to help sort out any issues that arise.

My wife and I are both tall and we found the bed rather small for two large units and also it squeaked when one rolled over.

We were not very lucky with the weather and were pleased to have the use of the quality TV, selection of English DVD's and books that were in the apartment.

We would definitely recommend this great value apartment to other travellers.

We discovered rather too late in the holiday that when the weather is cloudy/rainy in Morro del Jable the chances are that it is sunny 20 miles away around Costa Calma.

Lovely self contained apartment

  • 5 of 5

Lovely self contained one bedroom apartment, that is not in a holiday complex.

The apartment balcony over looks the beautiful beach

When we arrived ,we were met by the excellent hoste and owner Colin.

Colin showed us around the flat and explained how certain things worked.Very clean and well maintained

Well stocked bathroom with shower gel, soap, shampoo and conditioner.

Excellent power shower, there is also a washing Machine with washing powder and conditioner.

The Kitchen has all the appliances you can think of, the fridge was stocked with milk , ham and cheese.

There was also bread tea/coffee, oils sugar ,salt etc.

The flat is a home from home with everything you could possibly need.

The area has a good selection of shops ,restaurant’s and bars. Our favoutite restaurant was the the Bogeda tapas bar in morra jable which is about 20mins walk from the apartment(We ate there 3 times during our stay)

The beech’s offer all different types of water sports ,windsurfing/kitesurfing at club ion(15min car ride), diving etc.

I would definately recommend this apartment for couples or a family with one child or 2 toddlers.

We enjoyed our stay so much that we are going to rebook for next year.

Thank you Colin and keep up the good work

Erica and Dean
