Extra comfortable villa ideally located for fun family holidays. Nice and quiet, but also a short walking distance to the village, beaches and all amenities. The villa comprises large outdoor spaces. Mature mediterranean gardens with a large swimming pool. 10 comfortable sun loungers around the pool. Large external table with 'pergola' for lovely al fresco dinning. Another separate external dinning area next to the pool with professional BBQ. Table tennis. Very interesting distribution comprising two large suites with living room, dressing room, terrace, etc. A private bungalow/apartment separated from the main house with kitchen/living area, open bedroom and bathroom with private terrace. 5 bedrooms in total Air Conditioning. Within the plot, at the back of the house is located a large, private parking to park comfortably at least 5 cars.

About Julie Deymier

My parents are a French and Canadian couple. Arrived on the island in the 1970's. They have two grown up children, my brother and me. They have two well known restaurants in the area. 'Port Petit', 'La Sivina' and 'm'Áximes' at Vall d'Or Golf. The last one is my brother's and also very recommendable.

Why Julie Deymier chose Migjorn Region

This property is located in a beautiful area along the sea. Cala d'Or was the place where my mother came on holidays as a child and always knew she would come and live. A charming Ibizan architecture village, Cala d'Or is ideal for summer holidays. The coast is just charming, the water turquoise.

My parents constructed the villa in 1972. And with time the villa has been expanded to meet our life requirements. All our friends have always commented on how marvellous this villa is. We all have been very happy there.

What makes this villa unique

Charming and very comfortable house. Its wise display makes it easy for people to enjoy quality time together with some privacy at the same time, as rooms are well separated and have individual terraces most of them.

The house feels private but still is close to everything. Walking distance to the beaches, children's fun fair, restaurants, bars, supermarket, etc..

Notes:
Outside: There is a large garden with various terraces. A big table sitting 12 people under a covered pergola, ideal to have memorable summer lunches and dinners outside. Also a nicely set sheltered BBQ on the side of the pool with table to sit 6-7. The house has a large parking at the back. Utility Room: Washing mashine, dryer, iron, ironing board.. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen are icluded and will be changed once a week. The property will be cleaned once a week, every Saturday. If you require a more frequent cleaning service it can be arranged.

Ideal Villa

We had a wonderful stay in July 2016. There were 8 adults and 4 children. Two of us were in bedroom 1. A huge room with en suite and balcony, plus walk in wardrobe. Two were in bedroom 2. A reasonable sized double room with en suite. The couple without kids were given the annex so they could have a lay in. Two boys shared the twin room which they loved as it was their territory, again with en suite. Finally, my youngest son and his partner had the downstairs suite which was ideal as there is a living space with two sofa's, one of which converted into a bed which the two youngest children slept on. This room also has patio doors leading straight to the pool area which my 30 year old son would run out of first thing, straight into the pool. There is ample space around the pool, including a lovely barbecue area with a sink and a table in the shade. The grassed area is again of good size allowing for bat and ball games. We made use of the large outdoor dining area on an evening, having barbecued food which we bought from the supermarket which is barely 300 metres away out the back of the villa. There are ample glasses, plates and utensils and you get the feeling that you are in a home from home. Everything you could want in the way of bars, restaurants, shops and kids playgrounds are within a 15 stroll away. Cala d'Or itself can be quite busy, but knowing you have this private villa down a quiet side street to retreat to, is lovely.

We shall certainly be returning as all the boxes were ticked for us.

Stunning Villa

Stunning, large and very well maintained villa situated no more than 5 min walk from town centre with shops and restaurants.....house and gardens very clean and villa in prime location down quiet street. Large garden with several seating areas.....have stayed in villas in the area before by far the nicest, feels more like a home than a holiday rental....owners very nice and accommodating. Would stay again with my family and highly recommend this property

Holidays in Majorca

Very good experience for the family in this IBIZA style villa; perfectly

arranged and decorated.

The majority of the rooms are suites, the dining area in the garden besides the pool was the perfect place to spend pleasant moments

of conviviality for all of us.

The shoping, supermarket,restaurants,beaches are very near to the villa.

The possibility of parking in the closed private parking is greatly appreciated.

Many thanks for this nice stay, we recommend, without hesitation

Coast/Beach:

Cala d'Or, as its name means is the 'golden cala'. Calas are little beaches with white sand and rocky coast, the area is very much sea level. A few beach recommendations; 'Cala d'Or' (walking), Cala Gran (walking) 'Cala Mondragó' (15 mins by car), 'Cala Sanau' (5 mins by car) or 'Es Trenc' 25 min away by car, turquoise water and lengthy sandy beach cannot be described, it's a must!

Travel:

The house is less than 60 km away from the airport. 50 mins by car. 'Son San Juan' airport, the only one in Mallorca. Car hire is highly recommended, best to do directly from airport.

Distances:

Cala d'Or is surrounded by other nice villages and towns of interest. Porto Petro, is a charming, traditional port, only 5 minutes away by car; ideal to go for a meal by the marina. If you fancy markets, the Santanyi market is on every Wednesday and Saturday morning. Great atmosphere and beautiful handcrafted things to buy. Cala Figuera, Porto Colom are other places worth visiting. Or if you don't mind a longer excursion, have a day trip to Valldemosa, Deià, Sóller upper in the north west.

Further Details:

The house feels private as it is a quiet area but still is walking distance to all amenities.

It is surrounded mostly by other villas and field. Crossing the road a bit further down, a very private 5 Star Boutique Hotel from Melià with a magnifiscent Spa in case you would need some relaxing time. There are several beaches 5-10 min walking distance, as well as the center village where you will find all amenities. We recommend 'La Sivina' (italian restaurant) for its location and good quality/price food. It is located in the center town, on the pedstrian area. La Sivina is one of our family restaurants. Down at the marina you will find other interesting restaurants in a more refined atmosphere as the exclusive 'Port Petit', for an unforgettable experience. At 'mÁxime', the restaurant in Vall d'Or Golf they do wonderful BBQ's every friday with delicious buffet and live music. Ideal if you are willing for a little further experience, 10-15 min by car from Cala d'Or.
