About the Owner
We moved to France 8 years ago, and instantly fell in love with the beautiful setting; rural, scenic and quiet. The property, lives up to its name 'Belle Vue.'
Having lived in Spain for a number of years we took our time to find the right area of France in which to re-locate. The space, beautiful countryside and tranquility that it offers here, along with great accessibility to larger towns and attractions, really does offer something for everyone.
We have enjoyed renovating our Gites and suggestions along the way from our children and grandchildren lead us to believe that we have now created the ideal family holiday property. We look forward to welcoming you to 'Belle Vue.'
From the Owner

Activities include; dinghies, catamarans, windsurfing, canoeing, water skiing.”

Pretty Lac au Duc at Ploermel, offers a man-made beach, play area, swimming, water slides as well as extensive water sport activities. As one of the largest lakes in Brittany it is possible to walk round the entire lake (in approx 4 hours). Then you can relax afterwards at the lakeside restaurant/bar! The beautiful coastlines of the Gulf of Morbihan are well worth a visit and can be reached by car within an hour's drive.

The property, in a hamlet called 'Le Coin de la forêt' meaning 'corner of the forest', is nestled amongst stunning forest scenery. Ruffiac, is 3.5 km away with Boulangerie, Boucherie, Pharmacie, Bar, Doctors and small Supermarket. Characterful Malestroit has its weekly market on Thursdays and is about 10 km away. Medieval Josselin, a 'petite cité de caractère' with it's impressive château and Saturday market, is approx. 30 km away.
There is a huge variety of places of interest nearby. Whilst the list is endless, amongst the most popular are La Gacilly, a charming village synonymous with the late Yves Rocher and his cosmetics company. Wander round the narrow streets lined with unusual arts and crafts shops or visit the Yves Rocher eco-friendly spa hotel, where day visitors can indulge in relaxing treatments using the company’s natural products. The ancient forest of Paimpol, with its Arthurean legend, is always popular with children especially since the BBC Series of Merlin! Vannes, provides plenty with its port, beautiful shops and aquarium. Not forgetting Rochefort-en-terre, officially classified as one of the most 'beautiful villages of France,' and the fantastic car museum at Loheac. Details and information on all of the attractions can be found in our well-stocked 'Information Folder' at the gite.
As we live further up the drive from the property, we are always on hand if you need to pick our brains about local information or if you should need further advice. We hope that this also provides you with peace of mind if you have forgotten something or have any questions about anything during your stay.
