Our beautiful, two bedroom / 2 bathroom fully refurbished, air conditioned apartment with spectacular sea views is one of the best located sea view apartments on the popular Upper Monte Dourado Resort in the centre of Carvoeiro. Beach, restaurants, shops and bars are only a couple of minutes walk away. Located within a cluster of six apartments (two high by three wide) with amazing sea, beach and village views from the lounge, kitchen, balcony & master bedroom. Free wi-fi. Two swimming pools (one heated in off season) and childrens pools with ample sunbeds and parasols are just a few steps away at the rear of the apartment. The Tennis Courts on site are only a couple of minutes walk away. Entrance hallway leads to all rooms. The accommodation is tastefully decorated and consists of a fully equipped kitchen, spacious lounge/dining room with log burner, 2 refurbished bathrooms, 2 spacious bedrooms with ample storage facilities and good sized well furnished south facing balcony with spectacular sea, beach and village views.

We own and run a family coach holiday company and initially bought the apartment personally as a rental/investment property but we love the apartment and Carvoeiro so much that we now visit several times a year! This was our second stay at Casa Eva previously stayed next door in Casa Vera both are identical, very well appointed with everything you could possible imagine. fitted kitchen with all appliances beautiful modern bathrooms large spacious lounge/dinning area and fantastic views out looking over the cove and set in a quiet location but only a few minutes walk to all amenities the owners are most informative and arranged our transfers to and from faro airport, to the rear of the apartment are the pools with plenty of sun loungers, the balcony was large and we spent a lot of time soaking up the sun there. Its so good we have booked to go back again this year in June for 3 weeks there is lots to do and see with restaurant's and bars for every ones taste. I would highly recommend these apartments

A superb holiday

An absolutely superb apartment. Even better than description. It had everything you could need. The views from the apartment were incredible. Reception were very helpfull and the maid service was first class. The gardens and surrounding areas were maintained to a very high standard. The location is very central for everything, restaurants,supermarkets and beach. I would recommend this apartment to all my friends. Have already booked for this year. We have been to Carvoeiro for many years staying in hotels and self catering but this has been a real find.

From the Owner

When we decided to purchase a rental apartment we searched the Algarve with definite criteria. We wanted 2 bedrooms AND 2 bathrooms. We wanted a smaller village/town with a Portuguese feel and no high rise buildings yet with enough to cater for all ages. We wanted to be within walking distance of shops, restaurants & bars with no need for a hire car. We wanted a resort with communal swimming pools/reception/tennis courts and our icing on the cake was a sea view. We were so lucky to get EVERYTHING we wanted and more! We chose Carvoeiro as it retains its fishing village charm and stays ‘open’ all year round. We chose Monte Dourado resort as it is so well managed and has beautifully maintained and spacious gardens and pools. Although we are in the village our location is a quiet location.

Activity and Interests

Car: not necessary


We are only 500 metres from the delightful village beach - approx 5 minutes walk. There are numerous other beautiful beaches close by. Wonderful cliff walks are possible from Carvoeiro village and surrounding areas.


Faro airport is approx. 36 miles away - approx 45 minute drive. The resort reception can arrange transfers from the airport or car hire is readily available at a reasonable price. Car not essential. A car is recommended if you wish to travel around the Algarve however there is plenty to do in the village and excursions can be booked to local attractions and towns or you may wish to uses buses or taxis to make short journeys to nearby beaches and waterparks.


As Carvoeiro is centrally located on the Algarve numerous villages, towns, beaches and places of interest are in close proximity. Slide & Splash waterpark approx. 10 mins drive, Aqualand waterpark approx. 20 mins drive and Zoo Marine approx 20 mins drive. Portimao 9 miles, Monchique 22 miles, Albufeira 16 miles, Ferragudo 7 miles, Cape St Vincent 42 miles, Lagos 19 miles, Alvor 13 miles, Tavira 50 miles (all distances approx.) Most of the Algarve's golf courses are within easy driving distance.

Further Details:

There are numerous mini supermarkets within walking distance where you can buy most things and several large supermarkets within a 10 minute drive. Whilst maintaining it's fishing village ambience Carvoeiro boasts numerous shops, restaurants, cafes and bars. There are several banks with ATM facilities, hairdressers, beauticians and pharmacies. There are a few bars with live music although the night life in Carvoeiro is 'low key'. Live music is also provided in the village square during summer months.

Balance is due 8 weeks prior to departure. £100.00 security deposit due with balance which will be returned on completion of holiday provided there are no breakages or damage.
Payment can be made by cheque, bank transfer or credit / debit card (a fee of 3.9% is charged for credit / debit card payments)

Changeover Day:
Changeover day is Saturday although maybe flexible on occasions. Check-in time 3.00pm & check-out time 11.00am (although occasionally you can check-in earlier or check-out later) Arrangements can be made for late check-in. Bag storage available.

Notes on prices:
Electric is extra for all bookings November, December, January, February and March - payable at resort reception prior to departure.
Discounts maybe available for long lets in low season.

From the Owner

Our south facing balcony gets the sun all day long all year round. It is wonderful to sit on the balcony at any time of the day and soak up the ambience of Carvoeiro and watch and hear the waves coming onto the beach. During summer months music can be heard drifting up from the village square which is great for couples & families who want a ‘night in’ yet still want to feel a ‘part of it’ and enjoy a holiday atmosphere. Once the double glazed doors and windows are closed you have peace and quiet. Cooking-in is easy as we have full facilities & utensils – you don’t even have to wash up as we have a dishwasher! The beach is only a 5 minute walk or you have two communal pools just a few steps from your back door! The log burner creates a lovely cosy atmosphere in winter months.

We aim to provide home from home for ourselves and guests and have fitted double glazing, log burner, replaced bathrooms, re-tiled the kitchen and replaced all soft furnishings. We provide tea, coffee, condiments, washing-up liquid & other sundries etc on a replace when empty basis. Extra bed or cot can be hired at extra cost and will fit into either bedroom. Apartment is cleaned & managed by Monte Dourado who are on hand at all times to assist with any problems or queries. Free wi-fi. Resort Reception is open every day and is manned by pleasant and helpful staff for booking excursions, car hire and taxis. Outside: Patio doors lead from the lounge to a spacious south facing balcony with ample room for Al-fresco dining, pre-dinner cocktails or just to relax and watch the sunset over the sea. Dining table, dining chairs, relaxer chairs with cushions and parasol provided. The apartment is situated in well maintained mature gardens and is just a few steps from two large communal pools (with smaller childrens pools). (one pool heated off season) Ample sunbeds and parasols are available at the pools at no charge. Pools have toilets & showers and are cleaned daily. Two tennis courts on site -equipment available for hire from reception. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Maid service provided 5 days a week (Mon-Fri). Bed sheets changed weekly.
