Villa 'Duas Palmeiras' is an independent luxury villa perfectly located in South Goa, in an exclusive private, gated complex. The villa has its own tropical garden, and shares large landscaped gardens and a swimming pool with a handful of other villas. Colva offers a blend and balance between the 'tourist' Goa and the authentic Goa which first attracted Westerners. There is a wide selection of restaurants and bars as well as street food within walking distance of the villa. Other next door facilities include a supermarket, nightclub, internet cafe, medical services, an elite hair salon, and small grocery stores. South Goa's longest white, sandy beach at Colva has a variety of shacks/restaurants for you to choose from, rendering a lively yet not a hectic atmosphere in contrast to beaches of the north. Other nearby pristine beaches include Benaulim and Betalbatim and only half an hour away is the paradise beach of Palolem.

We are a working couple from Berkshire, England who made our first visit to Goa 8 years ago. After that, Goa drew us back year after year and we loved it so much that we decided to fulfill a life long dream and buy a house near the beach there. We still visit Goa multiple times a year, with family and friends visiting and, we are happy to say, they also love the villa.

The villa is clean, light, spacious and well maintained. It's a home from home and is an ideal place to stay if you want to relax and get away from it all. The location is excellent - 5 minutes from the local shops and restaurants and 20 minutes walk from Colva beach. There are plenty of places to visit so you can do as much or as little as you want. I would definitely go back.

Peaceful

Stayed for 4 weeks, really nice location in a great neighbourhood with shops, bars and restaurants within a 5-minute walk, and beach not far. Maintained well, kept tidy and to a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene.

Villa was a serene oasis in a vibrant beach town - had a very relaxing and peaceful stay, looking forward to returning.

Can't wait to revisit

Stayed for two weeks with husband and three kids and still found it very spacious. The swimming pool is communal but mostly wasn't too busy. The villa is 15 min walk to Colva beach with interesting stalls and street food along the way. DVD player was a bit dodgy but generally great service - Airport transfer was punctual and there was a weekly cleaner. Will definitely try and go again next year!

Charming villa with western facilities

Fantastic facilities in the villa. Stayed for 2 weeks with my husband and two children and we found it extremely spacious.

The pool area is communal but was mostly not busy at all. A 15 minute walk to the beach with a number of interesting stalls and street food along the way. Looking forward to (hopefully) returning next year!

The villa is secluded and peaceful and for our family it is the perfect location to enjoy the beach and the rest of South Goa. Enjoy!

Activity and Interests

Car: recommended

Coast/Beach:

- Duas Palmeiras is located just off the Margao-Colva Road, making it a perfect spot for those wanting to pair a beach holiday with a trip that offers more to the intrepid tourist.

- Colva Beach is an 18 minute walk (or 5 minute drive) away, where you will find local food, crafts and jewellery stalls as well as an extensive choice of beach shacks.

-Benaulim/Betalbatim Beaches 10 minute drive away.

Travel:

Dabolim Airport is 20 minutes drive away, Panjim (capital of Goa) 50 minutes drive.

Duas Palmeiras is ideally situated for road trips further afield to explore Goa. Trips could and should, include the spice plantations, Dudhsagar waterfalls, Old Goa, the rivers Mandovi and Zuari, and Fort Aguada, all of which are no more than an hour’s picturesque drive away through the countryside.

Distances:

A 10 minute drive away is the city of Margao, a commercial hub which offers a taste of a typically energetic Indian city. Here one can find fresh meat, fish and vegetable markets, as well as traditional larger shops and stores.

An hour’s drive to the north offers the hedonism of Anjuna, Baga and Calangute, for a slightly livelier and more commercial pace.
