Ski Apartment in Les Deux Alpes, France - 2 Mins Walk from The Ski Lift, Close to Restaurants, Ski Pass Office and Bars.

This 35sqm apartment is beautifully located in Place Venosc in Les 2 Alpes, only a two minute walk from the Super Diable new express chair lift and a further 5 minute walk to the meeting point for the main ski schools and kindergarten. Les Deux Alpes is one of the highest ski resorts at 3,600m, including the glacier, so skiing is always great. The town includes over 40 restaurants, bars, cinema, bowling, outdoor heated swimming pool. This one bedroom studio apartment sleeps 4 persons with all of Les 2 Alpes amenities within easy walking distance. No car necessary to get around although if you do drive to the airport there is private free parking at the apartment. Our apartment has completed a brand new refurbishment of the bathroom this summer (2014) with combined bath and shower. During this summer we are installing new floating wooden floor in the bedroom to match the hallway and put in living room that was completed in 2011. The galley kitchen is well equipped with oven, hob, microwave and dishwasher. There is plenty of storage space as well as a separate basement ski locker. The apartment has a small balcony overlooking the mountains. DVD and Ipod 4 speakers available and a Bluetooth speaker to connect to iPad and IPhone - Wifi installed and free for guests .

We love skiing and cruising, hence the studio apartment in France. We just don't get to do enough of it, although we make sure we go every year even if it is for a short week-end. A keen gym person, I have recently started however doing early morning boot camp which I suspect qualifies me as nuts. My husband stays in bed...

Good afternoon,

Just dropping you an email to say thank you so much for letting us stay in your lovely apartment in Les Deux Alpes.

It was just what we needed for a skiing break....small but with everything that we needed. We chose to stay on the sofa bed as bedroom was a little cosy - sofa bed is so comfortable!! lovely to have the use of a DVD player and ipos connection. The kitchen area was stocked as needed with cutlery and utensils and we made good use of these :)

Bathroom is beautiful!! Light airy and very well done!

Ski storage was fantastic!!

The apartments location is brilliant! Bottom floor with easy access and close to everything needed - particularly the ski lift and shop!!

Lovely ski area - had a few dodgy days of weather but really made the most of it!

Sarah was very helpful - particularly with any questions on local amenities and when we had issues with a socket near kettle and cooker - perhaps the situation of kettle etc needs rethinking?

All in all we were very pleased with the apartment and had a lovely holiday!!

Great week in a lovely apartment

Lovely little apartment, ideal for 3 people. Excellent location with bakers and butchers literally a 1 minute walk from the apartment, and supermarket 3 minutes walk. Restaurants and shops are also a 3 minute walk. An easy less than 5 minute walk to the nearest ski lift.

The apartment itself is modern and clean, with a great bathroom, and well equipped. The double bed and sofa bed were both very comfortable and the WIFI worked brilliantly. The kitchen is small but has everything you need, hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, though the oven was a bit tired and difficult to get working (some instructions would have been good), but once we'd figured it out, it worked well. The only down side was that on arrival all the plug sockets and lights were hanging off the walls, including the bathroom which fortunately my husband just screwed back on (he is an electrical engineer!) but I'm glad we didn't have any young children with us. Also the laminate flooring had no edging so did tend to slide around a bit.

Having said that we would definitely have no hesitation going back again and recommending it to friends.

Comfortable little apartment

Apartment really close to all facilities. Nice restaurants and bars really near by. Couple of minutes walk to slopes. Apartment as described. Clean. Bed really comfortable. Excellent view. Unfortunately the oven was not working while we were there, but microwave was a combi. Always nice and warm, and plenty of hot water. 1st time to Les Deux Alpes- really liked it- planning on returning. One thing that would be useful in apartment would be a tin opener - Only thing really we found missing. Helen and Nick really prompt at getting back to you with any queries. Thanks. Great Location / Helpful Owners

The apartment is in a great location being close to the Diable lift and a very short morning stroll to the supermarket and nearby patisserie. We had a suberb short break which was facilitated by excellent communication from the owners who were very responsive and accommodating with our less than conventional travel plans.

Nice apartment great location

This is a really nice little apartment it is in a great location right by the ski lift, shops, bars and restaurants.

It was always warm and has hot water, which was really needed after long cold day in the slopes.

The wifi was quick and very useful to check what lifts and pistes are open each morning.

It has small kitchen area but was all we needed to make breakfast and cook a quick meal.

The best thing about this apartment for us was the location as it was a 2 minute walk to two chair lifts and the bus stop to the main lift Jandri express ( however we did also walk to this lift which only takes about 5 to 8 mins in ski boots). Lots of good bars and restaurants also within 1 to 2 minute walk.

All round it provides a nice warm clean base for a good active holiday.

Basic but perfectly functional

It is in an excellent location and quiet at might. Over the last 19 years on and off we have stayed in several places on the main drag which are noisy at 5 am with deliveries and workman and in the Mercure. This apartment is the best located one we have stayed in, in Les Deux Alpes for eating out, takeaways and quietness.The new Diable lift and new blue run down were excellent, they managed to keep the new blue run down open throughout our stay despite the lack of snow. We were a family of four the girls 18 and 19 years slept on the sofa bed which was comfortable and big enough for them to share. Internet was very good.

Ideal place to stay for a budget ski holiday for four people lift pass, ski hire, supermarket, takeaways,restaurants lift all within 2 minutes walk even in ski boots!

Crepes a Gogo

We wanted somewhere high to ensure good snow as we had often in the past gone to resorts at a lower altitude often resulting in ski-less breaks! This resort, which has a glacier means that we have never been short of snow so far. We bought the apartment at the end of the town with the most character, some great restaurants and more importantly only 2 mins walk from the red gondolas. And we mean 2 minutes! Place Venosc, the square where the apartment is located, it has lots of restaurants,bars and shops including a supermarket so pretty much everything is on hand. A big plus is the view of a mountain and a private car park. This is our fourth year of renting so we have references available if you wish to see some.

Nearest Airport : Grenoble and then Lyon at 111 Kilometres Nearest Barpub : Too many to choose from at 20 Metres Nearest Golf : Les Deux Alpes Golf at 100 Metres Nearest Train : Boug d'Oisans at 20 Kilometres Nearest Restaurant : Too many to choose from at 20 Metres Nearest Ski : Express Chair Lift at 20 Metres Car: not necessary


Easy to get to Les Deux Alpes with the low cost airlines offering a regular service throughout the Winter from most major airports in the UK. At Lyon try bensbus.co.uk for transfers. Trains also run from St Pancras in London to Grenoble in around 7.5 hours. Driving too is easier than you might expect and the resort can be reached in around 9 hours from Calais. We also hired a car at Lyon and Grenoble for approx 40 Euro a day.

Further Details:

Supermarkets: There are 2 main supermarkets in the resort and one,Spar is in the same square,Place Venosc, as the apartment. No worrying about having to find transport to stock up on food and drink.

Restaurants: There are lots of restaurants within walking distance serving local and international cuisine, crepes, snacks and coffees. Try Le Cellier in the Sq where the apartment is located. About 250 yards up the road is Crepes a Go Go that does fabulous crepes with all fillings and Hot Stone meat dishes and Fondue. Of course there are some typical ski resort restaurants by to the ski slopes both indoor and outdoor with reclining chairs to soak up the sun and relax.

Bars. Après ski you should try our favourite Polar Bear not far up the high street, but for a more quite atmosphere why not head for Croque Maison.

Clubs. They are there, but I have not tried any!

Booking Notes:
A £150 deposit is required to hold the apartment. This will then show the apartment as unavailable on the website for those dates. In the unfortunate event of cancellation , the deposit is refundable on the following basis prior to departure:

90% up to 16 weeks.
75% up to 12 weeks.
50% up to 10 weeks.
Nothing after 10 weeks prior to departure.
Less deduction for any money transfer costs

The balance payment must be paid in full 42 prior to your departure and is non-refundable

Changeover Day:
Saturday normally, but other dates may be possible, and we will consider bookings for less than a week. Please apply via email.

A new sofa bed in 2013 cost almost Euro 1000 but is a lovely sleep! Separate, but cosy, bedroom with a brand new pine bed bought in 2015. Great location, so close to new express chair lift.   • Notes on accommodation: This is a non smoking apartment, but you can smoke on the balcony. We re-decorated in 2011 and laid a new wooden floor in the living area and hallway to galley kitchen. It is a warm, comfortable studio apartment providing a good base for excellent skiing, less than two minutes walk from express chair lifts! We also invested in a top end sofa bed which is a delight. Small apartment but cosy! Outside: Balcony. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The property will be cleaned for your arrival and you will be met by our English speaking host. Linen and towels are also provided at a cost of Euro 15 per person(10 Euros if you require linen only). You can of course bring your own. Other: One store room and one separate WC.
