Villa in Sa Riera, Begur, Costa Brava, Spain - Peaceful And Private Location With Very Comfortable Accommodation

The villa is perfectly situated in a quiet street, in a pretty wooded area with lovely sea and castle views, yet very close to both Begur and its lively bars and restaurants, and several pretty sandy beaches. The accommodation is comfortable and spacious and easy to use, with air-conditioning and central heating. There is a table tennis table and many other games etc for our guests to use, if not out exploring the many unspoilt, historic towns and villages or relaxing on the sandy, crystal clear watered beaches.

Just to let you know we love your villa and are very much enjoying out stay here. The villa itself is splendid, everything we could want and it's so nice to have the homely touches of soap, washing up liquid etc. left rather than having to start everything from scratch. We enjoyed the local area - so beautiful.

I just wanted to touch base with you to say that we had the most wonderful holiday in your villa. It was beautifully furnished the the décor was lovely. The kitchen was well equipped and plenty of glasses, crockery and utensils. The beds were very comfortable with good quality linen. The pool was a real bonus too.

Notes on accommodation: The villa has off street parking. Three double bedrooms are on first floor all with private balconies with sea views. There is a spiral staircase down to living accommodation and 4th bedroom which has sliding patio doors to the pool terrace. The open plan kitchen and sitting/dining room are large, light and comfortable with 3 sets of sliding doors to the garden and pool. Outside: The villa has its own private garden and pool with stunning sea views. The terrace has plenty of sun loungers, and a table seating 10 is provided with parasol. There is a BBQ and table tennis table and an outdoor sofa and chairs for added outdoor relaxation. There is also off road parking. There is no fence or barrier around the pool. Utility Room: There is a washing/tumble dryer. Ironing board and iron and drying rack. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen are provided, and changed weekly, but not beach towels, which can be hired on request. The villa is cleaned weekly, but guests can arrange more frequently if required, at their cost. Pool maintenance is included in the price.

The closest beach to the villa is petty Sa Riera,with several bars and restaurants, which can be accessed by foot down a set of steps in 10 mins, but is a steep climb back. It is only 2 mins drive. There are many other pretty, sandy beaches easily reached by car in 10 or 15 minutes, with crystal clear waters, perfect for snorkeling and scubadiving such as Tamariu, Aiguablava or Calella de Parafrugell. Boat hire to explore more hidden coves is available in Llafranc and Aiguagelda.


Nearest airport is Girona (Ryanair) which is approx 45 minute drive, or Barcelona 1.3hrs, or Perpingnon 1.5hrs. Car hire is recommended and easily obtainable from the airport.

Further Details:

The delightful medieval town of Begur with its cobbled streets and pretty town square provides most needs, such as Dr, pharmacy, supermarkets, banks, bakery, fishmonger and butchers as well as a fine selection of bars, restaurants and boutiques. There is also a very good tourist information office which will provide maps, local and regional information about places and events nearby.

This a very unspoilt region, with no high rise flats or mass tourism. There are a great many leisure activities close to hand, including diving (tuition available) snorkeling,horse riding, golf, hiking and mountain biking. There are many historic villages and towns close by which are well worth visiting as are the 3 Dali museums. The region is well known for its fine food and produce and the many restaurants close by reflect this.
