Villa Apartment in Marxuquera Alta, Nr. Gandia, Costa del Azahar, Spain - Set In Beautiful Countryside Surroundings 7km From Gandia And Beach

Peace and tranquility is the order of the day in our attractive ground floor villa apartment with private pool and mature gardens with ample seating and terracing with both sun and shade. The apartment lounge opens on to a covered terrace overlooking the swimming pool area. The owners live on the first floor and maintain the pool and gardens. However privacy is assured as they have their own entrance but are available for advice and help if required. The guest accommodation is completely self contained with separate entrance. The accommodation consists of a lounge with kitchen/dining area which leads out onto a covered terrace with other outside dining and seating areas. The American kitchen is fully equipped. The bedrooms have ample wardrobe space The garden area is terraced and surrounded by mature scrubs and trees. There are three eating areas outside together with a separate barbecue area which includes barbecue, 3 ring gas hob and worktop. There are ample sunbeds and parasols. The apartment has free WIFI connection.

Lovely clean apartment with relaxing pool area

What a lovely relaxing week we had at this villa apartment. Plenty of room for 4 adults and equipped with everything you could possibly need. Pool and garden is absolutely fantastic, spacious and peaceful. Great location for travelling around the area. David and Valerie are such lovely hosts and were always willing to offer help and advice to us about finding a property because we are thinking of moving to Spain ourselves. Would not hesitate to recommend this villa apartment to anyone.

We cannot sing the praises of this apartment highly enough. Valerie and David always responded to our emails promptly and provided us with the warmest of greetings. The apartment is one of the best equipped and cleanest we have ever stayed in .Both Valerie and David were on hand to ensure we were both comfortable and our needs met.(They even offered us milk when we ran out! )

The pool area is a delight and every form of pool side furniture is available to use providing both sunny and shaded areas.

Gandia, has an old town and beautiful sandy beach, an easy ( approx. 4 mile) drive away or you can venture out and explore the surrounding hills.

We would have no hesitation in recommending this apartment or visit again in the future.

Great appartment, great climbing

A very warm welcome greeted us after 90 minutes or so from Alicante airport. The apartment suited us down to the ground - very comfortable and everything we could have wanted for our week climbing. The crag at Gandia was only about 5 minutes away in the car and turned out to be a superb venue. We visited a couple of others which were also very good but there was enough to keep us going at Gandia for quite a while longer than we actually had.

delightful, and spotlessly clean, fully equipped kitchen, really couldn't want for more

Val and David sat up waiting for our late arrival, and even thought to leave a bottle of wine, and tea, bread, butter and milk in the fridge.

easy to find just off a main road, but never quiet couldn't hear any noises- except the birds to wake you in the morning-beautiful.

Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to any family or friends.

We live Oliva as a town better than Gandia, but both are within 10 minute drive or so.

This was our second stay at Val&Davids villa as we had been here in November 2014.The two bedroom apartment had everything four people would need,including books,games,DVDS,CDS,TV,Large Swimming Pool even shopping bags.Both stays we have found the villa clean and well-maintained and easy to find and park the car.

The villa is very central you can go up the mountains to La Drova and visit the caves then go up another couple of kilometers to the village of Barx with its shops,bank,doctor,bars and restaurants our favourite being La Visteta which has a pool,swings ,fantastic menu,encredible views down the mountain to the monastry and near by a spring comes out of the mountain people collect the water as it is good for your kidneys.Going the other way you have the bigger towns of Gandia and Oliva with their shops and amenities and outstanding blue flag beaches.

I could go on and on but I must finish packing as we have bought a villa in La Drova with a lot of help from Valerie& David nothing being to much trouble.

what can I say absolutely gorgeous accommodation with every thing you could possibly need for your holiday, a real home from home right down to the shopping bags for your trip to the local shops and markets. Perfect location for getting around the area which is made so simple by the fantastic owners who go above and beyond to help you and who I now have the honour of calling friends. Cant wait to book again and sink my toes into the Gandia beach which is only a 7 min drive from the property and that's if you can tear yourself away from the stunning pool!

Activity and Interests


The soft sandy beach stretches for miles and has Blue Flag status with showers, toilets and lifeguards situated at regular intervals making it ideal for families and children. The beach also includes many children's play areas with equipment. Adjacent to the beach you will find bars and restaurants or you can stroll around the charming fishing port and have lunch at the Nautical Club overlooking the Marina. The beach is only 8kms from the apartment.


The Villa is easily reached from both Valencia or Alicante airports. Valencia is the nearest airport and is a 50 minute drive along the motorway with Alicante taking 90 minutes again along the motorway. A car is essential.


Gandia Town is just 6km with the beach a further 2km There is a good train service to Valencia which takes an hour. Cullera a 30 minute ride away has a water splash park.
