About Wendy Botwright

Symondsbury Estate is a family run business. The luxury holiday cottages are set in the outstanding natural beauty within The Symondsbury Estate and The Jurassic coast.

Wendy Botwright purchased this cabin in 2011

Why Wendy Botwright chose Lyme Regis and West Dorset

You cannot get a better location if you love having direct access to one of West Dorset's hidden secrets. We love the unspoilt beach at Eype, never over crowded even in the summer months. Beautiful cliff top walks, fossil hunting, rock pools, barbecues on the beach, you won't want to leave.

What makes this cabin unique

The main benefit is being only a stones throw away from the beach, no fighting with traffic, no parking nightmares, dogs are welcome all year round. Wake up to the sound of the waves, no traffic noises. Beautiful walks across the cliffs to West Bay or Seatown for lunch then back to relax in your own Cabin with all modern conveniences. What more could you wish for?

Guestbook comments from the manager

We've now been to stay at the wonderful Seaspray twice in the last 6 months. For us it has everything from it's perch atop the cliff with sea views to the fact that however you're feeling, you're only ever 30 secs away from walking along one of the most unspoilt and wonderful beaches on the south coast. In October the locals organised a bonfire on the beach with fireworks going out over the sea which the kids loved and this time we sampled the pubs in Eype with their Feb "other-worldly" off season fell. Kids dancing competition in the empty Eype's Mouth hotel dancefloor a blast! Very cold outside but lovely and toasty inside Seaspray and the usual high quality finish and organisation of everyone at the Symondsbury Estate. Thanks again everyone. We will return!!

Great location

  • 3 of 5

First visit to Dorset and was pleasantly surprised how nice it was.Where we stayed,EYPE, was with splendid views, great warm sunny weather and plenty green land. The cabin was a bit disappointing as not exactly same as pictures on website and needed a good clean, polish and hoover up! Fridgefreezer really could have done with being replaced if not a good clean. This didn't spoil our holiday though as we did enjoy the week away.

Terrific location for beach and cliff access, lovely presented cabin with above average finishing touches. Brilliant large bed, had best sleep since having baby 2 yrs ago! Child friendly and dog friendly. Would strongly recommend. Small points which didnt affect our stay: housekeeping folder needs updating as no recycling bins/first aid kit/bath robes or working batteries in torch but minor points. Would definately stay here or at one of other Symondsbury properties.

Further Details:

Bridport is a bustling market town which holds a street market every Wednesday and Saturday, you will find the pavements lined with stall holders selling everything from local produce, to bric-a -brac.
