Stylishly furnished and decorated, the spacious apartment has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. There is unlimited WIFI and streamed UKTV. There is a large lounge area with TV, DVD and CD/i-dock/radio and a dining area to seat 6 people. There is a fully equipped kitchen with oven, hob, fridge, freezer, coffee machine, kettle, toaster, washing machine, dishwasher and ample crockery and cutlery. The balcony overlooks the swimming pool and there is a large table for alfresco dining. On the 1st floor there is a superb games area with pool table. All bedrooms have ceiling fans and the apartment is fully air conditioned. The property has an underground garage and 2 parking spaces. The position of the apartment makes it ideal for family holidays; the complex is secure and there is a childrens play area. The town centre is on your doorstep - no need to take a car to enjoy all the atmosphere, street entertainment, restaurants, bars and shops. The ferry to the islands is available all year round from Quatro Aguas and from Tavira harbour just a 2 minute walk away, between June and August, although this is often extended is the weather is good.

Hello from Andy and Sue Simmons: We are a married couple from Sutton Coldfield, a suburb of Birmingham. We are lucky enough to have owned Aventura Romantica since 2011 and since that time we, and many guests, have enjoyed some very happy times in Tavira.

One of the most important things we had in mind when we bought our apartment was that it should appeal equally to young and old. We think we found the ideal place for our parents, children and grandchildren to enjoy themselves in a safe and beautiful environment. Aventura Romantica hasn't failed to disappoint and everyone has enjoyed the sunshine and facilities Tavira has to offer.

"My husband, son and I enjoyed a wonderful week in Aventure Romantica in September 2012. Firstly the location of the apartment is very central, with restaurants, supermarket and all amenities less than a five minute walk away. The ferry to the beach is also very close by. The apartment itself was immaculately clean and very well equipped; we particularly appreciated the ice blocks and cool bags for our picnic when we spent the day at the beach! The location of the apartment within the complex itself is also excellent as it overlooks the pool and it meant we could relax on the balcony while our son happily swam in the pool. The welcome goodies on arrival were also very much appreciated. I could not fault any aspect of our accommodation and look forward to returning to Tavira and Aventura Romantica at some stage in the future." Mary Kelly.

Excellent accommodation in ideal Algarve location

On arrival at 'Aventura Romantica' we immediately felt comfortable and at home. The arrival instructions were very clear and the apartment was sparklingly clean. Andy and Sue provide everything you might possibly need including a lovely welcome pack of food essentials. We were also particularly impressed that all the small but important cooking items like salt, pepper, olive oil, silver foil were provided as it is such a help. The position of the apartment in the complex is great as it is near to the pool and also near a pedestrian gate. We loved the balconies for eating, relaxing, and drying clothes! The rooms are all spacious and having the extra lounge area upstairs was fantastic; especially if you enjoy playing pool! The location within Tavira is brilliant as restaurants, the historic quarter, the Ilha da Tavira ferry and the amazing indoor Mercado are all within a few minutes walk. We enjoyed the great local cafes and Fruiteria's (small grocers who stock wine!) literally on the door-step so no need for supermarkets. Visiting in August not only meant uninterrupted blue skies and sunshine every day but also a wonderful programme of evening activities in Tavira; craft fairs, music, folk dancing, opera, street theatre etc. Tavira is a beautiful and fascinating City with a super island beach a short ferry ride away. We highly recommend visiting the extraordinary Camera Obscura near the Castle; an ingenious use of the old city water tower that now provides a brilliant panoramic view created simply by 2 lenses and a mirror! We had a fantastic week staying at this apartment and it was ideally suited to our family of 5.

An amazing apartment in beautiful Tavira.

We we so delighted to have found this beautiful apartment. The location is just perfect in Taveria town. The apartment overlooks the pool, so convenient for a quick dip and even the WFI works when you are at the pool. The apartment itself is spacious and beautifully presented. We have never been to an apartment that was so well stocked!! There was toys, things for the beach, bikes....

I would definitely book this apartment again. Thank you so much for making my family stay so memorable. Anna

Fabulous apartment in a wonderful location

One of the best apartment we have stayed in (and we have been in many really great places) so many little extras from pool table to hair straighteners, really high quality finnish to everything and very comfortable cor 6 people. Lovely aspect front and back overlooking pool and street. Tavira is a magical place so much to do and ridiculously cheap, 3 euros for nice glass of wine and pint of good quality larger. Food is amazing and so much choice. Will be back very soon.

Perfecy Apartment

Five of us stayed in the apartment for a week in September. The apartment was centrally located within 2mins walk of local fresh fish and vegetable market as well as within 5 mins walk of main town. The apartment was spacious, well laid out and equipped with guests comfort a priority. The Owners Andy and Sue were extremely pleasant to book with. I cannot fault this property at all and look forward to going back there and to Tavira again.

Apartment Aventura Romantica

This is our second stay at this beautiful apartment and I can't praise it highly enough. Everything about it is superb. It is decorated and furnished to a very high standard and spotlessly clean, the bedding and towels are immaculate. The owners Andy and Sue have thought of everything that you would need for your holiday and even leave some lovely provisions to start you off, a really nice touch, not often found in other apartments. It is in a really good position in the town and the balcony overlooking the pool is perfect for having a long lunch in the sun. We stayed for a week last year and this time for 11 days but next time it will definitely have to be for longer, I can't wait to go back again.

We had a fantastic time in Tavira, and really enjoyed staying in the apartment.The description on the website was spot on.The location is excellent for the town, and the ferry to the beach which we used every day. The owners have thought of everything that you would need to assist in making the holiday enjoyable. Brilliant set of instructions for the apartment from the Owner. It was everything we could have hoped for and more. It is one of the best places we have stayed for comfort, location etc, since we have been visiting the town over the last 15-20 years. The apartment was extremely clean and exceptionally well equipped. The maid Olga popped in a couple of times, and changed the linen as agreed. I am sure we will be contacting the owners again to see if the apartment is available in the future.

We had been searching for a property for two years when we found Tavira - away from the usual tourist traps on the Algarve but an absolute delight in which to spend a relaxing holiday. Not a hen or stag party in sight! But, Tavira isn't short of things to see and do - the ferries to the fantastic beaches; opportunities to walk or cycle to Santa Luzia or Barril; fantastic beaches at Manta Rota and Praia Verde all convinced us that this was the place to buy and eventually live. If you love beautiful beaches; crystal clear seas; wonderful food and relaxing, warm evenings, then this is the place for you. We can assure you that you will want for nothing on your visit and you will yearn to be back again soon. Seville is less than two hours away if you feel like exploring Spain.

Coast/Beach:

The wonderful beaches of the Eastern Algarve are available to explore from this central location. Take the ferry to the Ilha Tavira from the town or from Quatro de Aguas, catch the train or walk across to the island at Barril. A short drive down the coast will get you direct access to the beach at Manta Rota, Monte Gordo, Casto Marim and Praia Verde. Bars, restaurants and full facilities are available at all these locations.

Travel:

Take advantage of the many cheap flights to Faro airport with the popular budget airlines, travel time to the apartment is around 35 minutes by car. You can either take the A22 toll road or be more leisurely and take the N125 - either way it is less than 40 minutes. There is also a bus and train service to Tavira from Faro and many local taxi firms offer a transfer service from the airport for around 40 Euros each way.

Tavira town centre - you are in it!. Olhao 25km. Villa Real 15km. Faro 45km. Seville 150km.

Tavira is a beautiful, historic town with many places of interest. For holiday makers the vast stretches of sandy beaches along with the fantastic traditional Portugeuse restaurants are the main draws. Tavira is a friendly fishing town; the market by the road bridge offers a wide variety of fresh fish and produce; there are several supermarkets and the large shopping centre has just about everything you could wish to buy. The town enjoys a vibrant nightlife, there are many festivals throughout the year and always something going on in the ampitheatre in the main square next to the Roman bridge, you will quite often see a street artist just set up and start performing around here. The restaurants and bars are too many to mention everyone has their favourite - the best way is to get out and explore them. Apart from the fantastic beaches, take a drive to Pago Inferno, a natural waterfall and lagoon, great for a swim. Olhao is a vibrant town between Tavira and Faro, it has many shops cafes and restaurants and an excellent football team in the Portuguese Premier League. For the more adventurous a try a trip to Seville, a stunning city with streets lined with it's famous orange trees and fantastic Tapas bars.

20% deposit required at time of booking. Remainder of fee to be paid 8 weeks prior to departure. Security deposit of £150 to be paid 2 weeks prior to departure, upon receipt you will be sent keys by recorded delivery. Changeover Day:
Changeover days, arrival and departure times and length of stay are flexible. Generally the apartment is ready by 2.00 p.m. on arrival and should be vacated by 12 noon on the day of departure. Welcome pack includes bread, meat, cheese, wine and beer etc

Notes on prices:
If your stay is shorter than one week the cost will be calculated by taking the weekly rate and deducting £70, the remainder is then divided by 7 to give a daily rate, this will then be multiplied by the number of days for your stay and then the £70 added back on to cover the cost of cleaning

The condominium is right in the heart of Tavira, and this was an essential for us. If you just want to come and relax without driving anywhere then this is just right for you and anyone with mobility problems needn't worry - with a lift to the apartment and parking, everything is easily accessible. Whilst other proprties in Tavira can offer you similar facilities, we are sure that you won't find an apartment so well equipped or well positioned as ours. Our development has a pool which can be viewed from the apartment balcony; which is south facing and has the sun all day; but is also only 5 minutes walk from the ferries to the fantastic Tavira Island. Everything is provided to the highest standard! We are always available during your stay as is our housekeeper: Olga is fantastic!

There is a selection of CDs, DVDs and paperbacks for you to enjoy. The dining area has a large table with seating for 6 and all the accessories required for dining. The kitchen is very well equiped and contains a bistro style table and chairs. On the balcony overlooking the swimming pool there is a large table and 6 chairs, great for relaxing over lunch or enjoying a family meal in the evening. It's a real suntrap! There is a games area on the 1st floor with large sofa along with a fully equipped pool table. Underground parking is available to guests. Bedrooms 1 & 2 have king size beds, fitted wardrobes, ceiling fans, air-conditioning, bedside tables & lamps, dressing table with stool and mirror. Bedroom 3 has 2 single beds, bedside table and a chest of drawers with mirror over. All bedrooms have hairdriers and UK adaptors. Outside: There is a fully maintained communal swimming pool in a decked area that you can see from the balcony and kitchen, so great if you have children. It is very private and well sheltered so it is very sunny and warm even in the winter months. We have sun loungers and chairs for your use around the pool as well as beach bags, cool boxes (with ice blocks), parasols and windbreak to take to the pool or beach. There are toilets in the pool area so no running back to the apartment to spend a penny! The development is in Portuguese style with a cobbled street area, with well kept bedding and a small children's play area at the far end. It is quiet in the evenings even in summer despite being only a few minutes from the hustle and bustle of the town centre, with all it's attractions. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Welcome pack on arrival. All linen and towels, including beach towels, are provided. The property is cleaned prior to arrival and on departure. For stays of 10-14 days, linen and towels will be changed after 5-7 days, depending on the length of stay. Other: On the 1st floor there is a spacious games area, ideal for chilling out. There is a fully equiped pool table with balls, cues etc as well as a selection of board games if the sun gets too much for you or you fancy a night in! Small paperback library.
