Set in the vineyards and lavender fields of Provence within sight of Mont Ventoux, this beautiful stone cottage and separate studio, attached to a restored XV11 century French farmhouse, offer a perfect holiday location in the south of France. Stunning private pool, table tennis, bikes and full size boule/petanque court. Historic villages, street markets, wine caves. Canoeing (1 hr), wonderful beach (1 hr 45), and a cyclist's paradise. Easy access to international transport links. A chance to escape and discover a beautiful corner of Mediterranean France. We are very bike friendly and only 30 minutes from Mont Ventoux.

Ferme du Platane - The Perfect Holiday in France

I stayed with my family at the Cobb's beautiful farmhouse in August of 2015. It is not the first time we have been and it was easy persuading my 3 children, their partners and their children to visit for a 2nd time.

It is the most enchanting house, a perfect blend of the best of English and French taste situated in a wonderfully quiet location, near enough to the Autooute du Sud and conveniently located near to the seemingly endless number of delightful villages which are scattered over the local countryside. Many of these hold weekly markets which are such a pleasure to visit. There are an endless number of unspoilt and beautiful places and towns to visit in the surrounding area. Avignon, Vaison la Romaine, Grignon and Seguret are unmissable treats.

The house itself is most appealing and very well appointed with accommodation for 8 in the cottage and a stunning studio for 2 in an annex next to the main house where Mike & Glyn Cobb themselves live. They are charming and perfect hosts who go to infinite trouble to ensure that everyone has a perfect holiday. There is a pretty olive grove and sweet smelling field of lavender next to the house but perhaps pride of place goes to the separately enclosed swimming pool which is large enough for both strong swimmers and small children to thoroughly enjoy.

I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending the house to potential holidaymakers. Anyone who loves France cannot fail to be overcome by the magnetic charm and enchantment that the property exudes. We shall definitely be back.

At front is own walled courtyard with large table under wisteria, plus small barn with table tennis and bikes, and separate room with bbq, 2nd fridge and storage. At rear is access to lavender field and pool. Roof terrace with attractive local views to nearest village. Studio. Part of owner's farmhouse, but with separate stone staircase entrance leading to split level old studio with restored beams and unique stone features. Fully equipped kitchen plus table and sitting area (including sofa bed), Internal stone staircase leads to galleried bedroom with double bed and ensuite bathroom. Use of owners' shaded courtyard and large private pool. Outside: Cottage - own walled gravelled courtyard with large table under wisteria (seats 10) - additional seating - barbecue - use of lavender and olive filed at rear. Small barn with table tennis and bikes. Studio - use of owners' large shaded courtyard with eating areas. Pool- 12m x 6m - salt filtration - complies with French safety regulations -beautiful setting - sun loungers - table with parasol.
