Tregarne is immaculately furnished and maintained throughout. It has been stylishly and thoughtfully furnished by the owners to provide a perfect base for your holiday. Focus is on ease of use – whether in the kitchen, bedrooms or living areas. And located so close to the beach means that coming back to enjoy lunch at ‘home’ is too easy! A great deal of thought and effort has gone into making this house charming and elegant but also child friendly – in fact everything you need for a luxury family beach holiday.

About the Owner

Raintree House Holidays is a small beach house letting and management company focusing on a handful of beaches down the coast between Padstow and Porthcothan. All our houses are within walking distance to one of these beautiful beaches and a large number have spectacular sea views. We let our owner’s holiday homes out to guests many of whom we have known for years. Holidays with Raintree will always be memorable and enjoyable as we manage all aspects of the houses ourselves. We employ our own cleaning and maintenance teams, this means we are very flexible and can achieve very high standards across all our houses.

Tregarne is perfectly located to provide accommodation for those who want to take part in surfing with some of the best surfing in the UK being available at 6 beaches within 5 minutes of the property. Walkers are also well catered for - with the Coast path only a few minutes walk from the house. And if you are interested in cooking, then courses can be organised in Padstow - not surprising with restaurants by Rick Stein, Jamie Oliver, Paul Ainsworth and Nathan Outlaw all being within 10 minutes of the house.

Coast/Beach:

The beach is about 4 minutes walk down the lane – easily close enough to nip up or down without a thought. And if you want to park up the car for as long as possible, there are shops around to cater to your daily needs. The village shop provides newspapers and fresh bread and pasties daily in season. The cafe is good for a casual lunch or relaxing cup of coffee. Surf and beach equipment can be bought or rented at the surf shop. And the Well Parc pub is easily accessible by foot.The area is also blessed with a number of beautiful beaches only a short distance away. Treyarnon Bay , Constantine Bay, Mother Ivy's Bay and Porthcothan Bay are all within 15 minutes drive.

Travel:

Newquay Airport is 10-15 minutes drive away, while trains can be caught to Bodmin Parkway, a 20 minutes drive.

Distances:

Padstow is 5 minutes drive away, while Newquay is about 25 minutes drive. Rock and Polzeath can be driven to in about 30 minutes - or you can take the ferry across from Padstow. St Ives with its fantastic art galleries and beaches is just 50 minutes away.

Changeover Day:
Tregarne's changeover day is Thursday - with arrival by 4pm in the evening and departure by 10am. At half-terms, Easter, and Christmas/New Year we can be flexible, Please enquire.

The 2nd bedroom has large bunk beds, with a third bed which pulls out for occasional use. The 3rd bedroom has a good quality double bed.

Notes:

  • Outside: The garden has a large patio area with table and chairs, a large parasol, barbecue and patio heater. The remainder of the garden is laid to lawn with pretty borders full of flowers and shrubs. The garden gets the sun from 11 am in the morning until evening. The side gate is child proof making the garden safe for small children. Tregarne is located in a small complex just back from the beach. It retains a private feel, and is not overlooked by other properties around it. Utility Room: Tregarne has a very useful store and utility room. In here can be found the washing machine, tumble dryer and a butlers sink, drying rack and shelves for beach paraphernalia. It is ideal for keeping clutter out of the main living areas. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: High quality cotton linen and towels are provided. A 'standard' clean is provided on your departure. For 2 week stays, the house is cleaned and linen and towels changed after the 1st week. Other: The snug on the mezzanine level contains a futon sofa, small TV and DVD, and enjoys views across the headland. The gas central heating ensures that Tregarne is always cosy and welcoming.
