This is our smallest flat.

Perfectly suits the needs of a single traveler on an extended stay or a COUPLE looking for a well-priced pristinely clean flat for a romantic getaway, or traveling with a CHILD.

(Queen+optional adult Twin bed) **

Half-above/half-below grade, between the ground and basement floors on the front side of the building. Accessible by Elevator only (in emergency also by stairs!) **

Northern exposure. 2 very tall windows let in ample fresh air and daylight, however there is NO VIEW.

On a gloomy day you will feel happier with the lights on. **

Bed can be moved away from the wall and rotated.

2 big comfortable leather RL armchairs do not appear in the photos.

Other furniture options are available (we set it up "on demand" for longer stays).

Ample storage within the unit and a closet immediately outside of it (not in photos) **

Blackout + semitransparent shades.

There are absolutely NO extra fees or charges:

utility charges, TV cable usage, wi-fi broadband internet, housekeeping/maid service, personal laundry service, final cleaning,

document printing, package/parcel acceptance any time prior to arrival, et al are included in the rate.

This property is listed by its Owners (a married couple with a young son) that live in the premises. The Owners have lived in The Townhouse for over 26 years and have been hosting guests for the past 9 years.

Full time staff also live with us.

The task of the staff is to take care of daily needs of our guests.

We do everything we can for our guests and ALWAYS at no additional charge. - We do not nickle and dime.

We sincerely want our guests to be as happy as possible with their overall experience of New York and not just the stay in our house. So we go out of our way to help... and do everything we can.

The owners are available at all times to help with any of the guests needs and are always there to welcome our guests.

There is always someone at the house to answer the door 24 hours a day.

So you can arrive after midnight or at 6 in the morning and we shall welcome you with a smile.

Nothing is too much of a hassle for us...

and we also arrange airport transportation.

Obviously this house is also our home and even though it is a BIG house we do feel the 'energy' of the guests that stay under the same roof with us...

quaint street, luxurious appt -- off beaten path

From my first encounter with Julia she was focused on our stay being World-class! The Appartment was emaculately decorated with old century charm. The elevator I absolutely adored -- it was an antique in and of itself made in the 1900's. Also, my wife suffers from chronic pain and one late night I called Julia and within 5 minutes she had delivered her personal heating pad for my wife to use during the remainder of our stay. Anything we needed was there--from transportation to amenities to housekeeping. The Appartment is located directly in one of the most prestigious neighborhoods on the upper east side. Central Park literally across the street. Each morning my wife and I would simply roll out of bed and step out the front door to local cafe for coffee, espresso and a light breakfast before enjoying world-class shopping and strolls through the park. We have been to New York before and have aways stayed in hotels. Never again! The flat, although small, was perfectly arranged for 2 and was very comfortable. We awoke each morning to light from the street level windows. No view in this Appartment, but we would sit in the common space to read a book or to enjoy the view. Adorable and comfortable is how I would summarize both the Appartment and Julia's hospitality. We can't wait to visit again.

The property is lovely!

I stayed in the petite flat. It's just as described and I absolutely loved it! The location is beautiful. Right next to the park and if you want to take the metro it's just a couple blocks away. I was able to get into downtown and the village with ease.

Claudio checked me in and got me settled. It was very welcoming and he recommended great places to eat! I love the Orsay!

Julia is a wonderful hostess and very thorough.

I am very independent. This apartment is very quiet and I had my privacy. Tha staff are wonderful and take care of you.

Prime location. Our regular home base for NYC travel.

We were looking for comfortable lodging in NYC near our daughter's apartment (she works there and we live in North Carolina). This home has location, style and comfort. Choose from four apartments to suit your needs. We stayed in the terrace apartment which we highly recommend. If you are looking for a familiar place to return to time after time then this is it. We look forward to our next visit!

Great stay

I stayed at this property with my two children ages 6 & 8. The owners were very responsive to our needs. They had great recommendations for restaurants, groceries etc in the neighborhood. We stayed in the smallest unit but i was offered a larger one after seeing the small unit. We chose the smaller unit because we were not going to be there much, it worked with small kids and it had everything we needed. The property was well maintained, clean and quiet. Everything was easy and the owners are very accommodating. We would definitely recommend this to others and will be staying there again in the future.

Wonderful Stay on the Upper East Side

I had the pleasure of staying at the townhouse a few weeks back when I was in town for a quick weekend trip.

Upon my arrival, I was greeted by Julia, where we had a lovely chat, and she showed me around the apartment. A very kind host, she ensured that I was comfortable with the apartment and all my questions were answered. Prior to arriving I was provided with great tips about the neighborhood- detailed information on where to eat, where to walk, where to shop.. All very thorough. Julia really takes the time to make sure you feel at home in the apartment itself as well as the location.

The home was beautiful and majestic, exactly what you would think an Upper East Side townhouse would be. The apartment itself was quite charming. Clean and quiet, it even had a lovely walk out patio, where thanks to the nice weather I was able to sit out in the backyard and enjoy the evening (outdoor space in New York is incredibly rare- this was an added perk!)

Throughout my stay I continued to have nothing but a great experience. The location was very convenient, and when I would occasionally bump into Julia as we were coming and going, she always would ask how my stay was, if there was anything else I needed, etc.

I had a lovely experience at the townhouse, and am looking forward to having this be my new place to stay when visiting Manhattan. I have already told my friends and family about the property, and strongly reccomend it for those visiting the city.
