Simple friendly villa.

The villa was simple and friendly.The outside seating areas were great all day and into the evening.The pool was lovely easy access for children and warm too.

Hidden treasure in Cala D'or

What a little gem we found in Villa Maika! The house, which is set in a very pretty and secluded garden complete with statues and fountain, is furnished very well and to a good standard. The garden is beautifully lit at night, looks like something out of Hollywood. The air conditioned bedrooms have very comfortable beds which make for a good night's rest and of the three bathrooms, two are impressively modern en- suite wet-rooms. The kitchen couldn't fail to keep any cook happy - lots of work space and it is very well equipped indeed. Absolutely everything you'd need - and more.

One thing we liked in particular is that there are so many different places to sit and eat. There is an inside dining area adjacent to the kitchen, then a large formal dining table in the sitting room, then outside,a table and chairs on the BBQ side of the house, a further table and chairs on the front terrace and then another out by the pool. Loads of choice depending on how you feel!

The villa was spotlessly clean, as was the linen and towels. No stingyness in the kitchen either - several kitchen towels/cloths and plenty of cleaning materials

Villa Maika is in a very good position literally only a few minutes walk to the nearest restaurants and bars; five minutes more takes you into Cala Egos where there is a good choice of eateries, supermarkets, doctor etc. A few minutes easy stroll down the hill from the house and you are at the fabulous Cala D'or Marina with it's boutique shops, classy waterside restaurants and swanky yachts - not to be missed! The nearest beach is no more than a ten minute saunter or there is a 'choo-choo' bus just up the road that takes you in to Cala D'or with it's several sandy coves and stunning pedestrian precint where you will be spoiled for choice with restaurants for every type of cuisine you can think of.

Apart from 3 small steps at the garden entrance the house is all on one level. The two en-suite wetrooms are also wheelchair accessible........which is just as well as I broke my ankle whilst there!

We had quite a few queries about the property before booking and the house manager was great, all questions were answered without delay and we felt they are the sort of people that want you to enjoy your holiday rather than just let you a house. (Quite remarkable these days!)

The villa is within 10minutes walk to either the Des Pou beach in Es Forti or Cala Egos beach. Cala D'Or centre is approximately a 20 minutes walk around the fabulous Cala D'Or Marina where there are many restaurants and bars to suit all tastes. and Cala Egos Centre is a 10 minutes stroll to shops and a variety of Restaurants and bars.


Cala Egos centre with shops, restaurants and bars is approx 10mins walk, a slow stroll around the Marina will take you up to the centre of Cala D'or, here you will find a restaurant to suit everyone, with shops and bars.

Prices shown are for the villa per week and includes cleaning linen / towels. A deposit of 10% is payable at time of booking and the balance is due 28 days prior to departure. Spain from July 2016 charges a Tourist Tax of 1 Euro per person a night Exemptions are under 16 years of age. This tax will be paid by the owner and is included in the price. We will need passport number of the guest making the booking and a copy of any exemption passport. we will need names of all the guests staying.

WiFi Car Port Parking for one car at front of property Outside: The Villa is set in enclosed Mediterranean gardens with large private swimming pool. The pool is kidney shaped with shallow steps into it, going to a depth of approx 2.5 m , with an approx length of 30ft. There are several sun loungers provided. the pool area has a table with sun shade and chairs for casual dining. The front veranda has a small table with chairs over looking the pool . There is also the main covered terrace area with a large wooden dining table and six chairs for lunch or a delightful relaxing evening meal. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bed sheets and towels are provided. If stay is longer than a week, there is a change of linen weekly. The final cleaning and other costs e.g. (electricity, water, gas) are also included in the price.
