About Sue Andrews

We live in the Purbecks, our six sons have all left home and we now spend our spare time with horses.

Sue Andrews purchased this bungalow in 1980

Why Sue Andrews chose Purbeck

We chose the Purbecks because we love the area having lived here all of our lives, we have lovely beaches, walks and most beautiful countryside. There are also lots of entertainment for children. We have a main rail line and bus route within walking distance.

What makes this bungalow unique

The property has lovely views across water meadows and is central to Poole Harbour, beaches, Monkey World, Corfe Castle and a little farther afield is Abbotsbury tropical Gardens, The Swannery and children's farm to mention a few.

Great House, great location, warm welcome.

  • 5 of 5

We went for Christmas. Clean and tidy. Very spacious. Really, really difficult to find fault...the kitchen had just been replaced and the only two things we could comment upon (purely as positive feedback) is that:

1. we couldn't find a gravy boat! (how dreadful is that??! - I might throw my toys out of the pram!)

2. When the owner's horse blankets are drying in the large tumble drier in the garage it makes a noise that can be heard in the lounge (above). This happened once, but the tumble drier continues automatically until switched off.

You can see that we've really struggled to find fault. We'd definitely recommend this property. It was just perfect for our needs.

Another great holiday In River View Cottage

  • 5 of 5

We have enjoyed many holidays with our children and grandchildren staying at River View Cottage. The property is always spotless and well appointed and the owners are most welcoming and helpful. Situated in Stoborough, it is an ideal location for holidays on the Isle of Purbeck.

Very clean and tidy home from home. Lovely setting. Ideal location easy to get around to beaches and towns. Studland beach great and water was enjoyed by adults and dog both. Bonus with the pub opposite and food great and reasonably priced, staff very accommodating. Dogs welcome.

This is a great property to stay in if you want to visit Dorset . It was a great home away from home for our family holiday . We picked it because it was so close to Monkey World , there is lots to see and do within a short drive and beautiful beaches . I would highly recommend it and we hope to return to here again in the future

Perfect location with stunning views

  • 4 of 5

The house was perfect for our family of 6 adults and 2 children and we all had a brilliant holiday. The location was great and as the weather was so good we were able to spend time at some of the many beaches all within a short drive. We also made use of the BBQ in the lovely garden and the children loved the trampoline. We would be happy to stay here again if we return to the area.

Peaceful location

  • 5 of 5

This is the second holiday we have had at this property. It has amazing views and is very peaceful. Property clean and well maintained. Only 10 minute walk to Wareham town. Lots to do within a small drive. Steak night on a Tuesday at The Quay Inn really worth visiting but need to book.
