About the property

Farmhouse in Figeas, Nr. Coussac Bonneval, Haute Vienne, Limousin, France - Peaceful Location With Lovely Walks From The Farmhouse, Or A Short Drive To Many Places Of Interes

The farmhouse has a good sized balcony overlooking a 5 acre south facing garden with a generous pool to cool down in during our hot summers. Indoors you will find a spacious dining kitchen full of character with the original stone floor and inglenook fireplace; leading from this there is a separate large lounge with oak beams, oak flooring and yet another inglenook fireplace. Upstairs there are two large bedrooms; one kingsize with en-suite, a twin/triple room and a separate romantic main family bathroom.

About Mrs Deborah Tuck

My husband & I moved over to France in 2010 and have enjoyed every minute of being here. We have 2 lovely dogs, one Miniature Schnauzer called Pentillie and one chocolate mixture of Border Collie & Spaniel called Dolly.

Mrs Deborah Tuck purchased this farmhouse in 2010

Why Mrs Deborah Tuck chose Limoges area

We decided to move out to France to find that quality of life that many of us lose over time.

We feel we are very lucky to live in such a stunningly beautiful area, it's peaceful & calming but with an abundance of things to go do if you so wished.

Only being 20 minutes drive from the A20 motorway makes it perfect for easy access and a straight run to the north or the south.

What makes this farmhouse unique

The Farmhouse built in 1778 is very spacious, with stunning views, we have a large garden & good size pool for cooling off on those hot days when sitting relaxing with a good book.

We have our own little bread van that comes 3 times a week and a general produce van that also comes once a week, even though we have shops within 2 miles

Our area will offer you the distraction needed for the relaxing holiday you deserve right throughout the summer months, be it walking, cycling, visiting Chateau's, regular daytime markets and the Night markets 2-3 nights a week that are at various villages around us, they're free to attend, lots of seating, live entertainment & local produce that you can buy for your evening picnic from the pretty stalls surrounding you.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Aldridge Family: The house was a fabulous place for the family to relax, I have never stayed in such a well equipped house, even more than my own. A wonderful holiday.

Somerset/Banks: Thank you for a lovely short break. We had a great time relaxing by the pool. The setting is just right & we were made to feel very welcome. Perhaps see you again sometime!

Phillips Family: What a lovely house in a lovely setting! Kids loved the pool and the animals; we loved the quiet and the warm welcome.

Team Chapman: We have had an absolutely fabulous two weeks. Setting is incredibly idyllic. Its been great to see the kids truly 'free-range'. The hightlights have been the night markets at Segur Le Chateau & St Pardoux Corbier; great food, drink & entertainment from the locals. The house is old and charismatic, the Hosts; warm, friendly, knowledgeable.

Balmain Family: We have had a lovely week in this comfortable, stylish gite.

The pool was perfect. A fun, relaxing week, we have loved

A beautiful period farmhouse

  • 4 of 5

...set in a quiet hamlet surrounded by countryside.

Our host, Debbie, was so welcoming and kind. The home baked goodies and welcome pack were very well received! Debbie even supplied us with freshly picked cucumbers during our stay.

The pool is fantastic, with lovely views and well screened. The pool was impeccably clean and we know how much work goes into that!

Our daughter, son-in-law, 18 month old grandson and us all stayed together and were able to completely chill out for a week. We hardly wanted or needed to go anywhere.

The farmhouse is spacious, well furnished and equipped, and very clean.

Thank you Debbie for a lovely, chilled-out stay. We would love to come again.

Linda, Sam, Leila, Paul and little Charlie (who sends you another one of his charming blown kisses).

What a beautiful, idyllic location. The farmhouse was spotless, it contains everything you could possibly need for a family holiday.

Beautiful surroundings for the children to explore and run around. Our children ( 2 and 4 yrs old) loved the outdoor pool and feeding the lambs.

Debbie was a fabulous, friendly host, making sure we had everything needed. The welcome pack was also most appreciated!

It was also the perfect location to experience French markets, lovely restaurants and days out.

We loved our family holiday at the farmhouse- you couldn't not!

Outstanding hidden gem

  • 5 of 5

No review or thesaurus full of synonyms can ever adequately describe this idyllic gite and it's fantastic owners, Debbie and Graham, who can't do enough to make your stay brilliant.......

The place and setting are simply beautiful.......

Fantastic welcome on our arrival, with a glass or two of wine to break the ice !!!

Great day out at the races at Pompadour, and a tremendous night out at the ' marche de nuit' at Segur le Chateau followed by a number of days by the pool....

Thanks Debbie and Graham for a wonderful time, and looking forward to seeing you next summer.

A fantastic property in a beautiful spot. The pictures on the website don't do it justice, as it was much larger than we were expecting. The children loved the outdoor space and the pool and it's a perfect property for a young family (our children are 6, 8 & 10). There's loads to see and do in the surrounding area and it's not a very touristy area, so no crowds to deal with. Our highlight was canoeing on the Vereze and the children also enjoyed the zoo. The night markets were a great way to mix with locals and sample the regional specialities.

Farmhouse in Figeas

We've just returned from a wonderful holiday in this beautiful farmhouse. The photos on the website do not do it justice, it is far more spacious. The farmhouse has been beautifully restored by the owners to a very high standard, and is very well equipped. The setting is picturesque, and very peaceful. The land adjoining the property allows the children to have lots of freedom, with a lovely pool to cool down in too.

Our children (6&2), loved everything about this property, the land, pool, house, chickens, dogs, & kittens, and Debbie and Graham. Debbie and Graham could not have been better hosts, providing us with everything we needed and more, without invading our space.

It's a lovely area to explore, great places to walk and cycle from your front door. Good places for children to visit - chateaus, aquarium, zoo.

In the words of our 6 yr old son " the farmhouse, and Debbie and Graham are awesome!"
