Notes on accommodation: The apartment is very cosy in the winter and can be booked all year round. We are also open to longer term corporate lets. Apologies but this apartment is not suitable for rowdy groups or smokers. There is a travel cot which is available at an additional cost of £5 per night. Outside: The property is situated within a beautiful quiet secure gated grounds of a large private house which are private and access has been granted to and from the apartment only. please note:- Within the grounds of the private house there is a very tame dog that wanders around during the day.

Really disappointing

We stayed here for a week while having some work done on our own house, and chose Brighton as we wanted to explore the restaurants and pubs in the area. Unfortunately I still had to work all week, so brought my laptop and moved the half-table from the kitchen into the lounge so I could at least see out of the window while working (sat on an uncomfortable stool as that's all there was), but it was grim (though the wifi was very good).

The apartment was (sorry, but I'm going to be brutally honest here): very dirty (when we saw the cleaner at the end of our stay, we weren't surprised why); dark and dingy; damp smelling; generally not looked after; no batteries in the TV remote and all remotes were sticky; washing machine leaked all over the floor, probably because the filter hasn't been cleaned for ages; top bit of smoke alarm was just sat on the worktop (no batteries!); the shower was ridiculous (power shower motor had obviously gone, so the water was just a pathetic trickle, and cubicle in eaves, so no room to stand up, plus the water went all over the bathroom floor); no hand wash or loo roll - not even enough to get through one night - so we had to go out immediately and buy some; towels smelt fusty and so did all of the bed linen (probably because it had been washed in the machine with a blocked filter); bed also in eaves so no room to stand up when getting in and out of bed; etc. Location quite nice as close to Preston Park but a long walk into town and very hilly (we didn't mind that though). Felt really sorry for the doberman (another story). We were quite glad to leave by the end of the week, though we did decide that we want to move to Brighton!

Comfortable, well equipped, and cosy!

We stayed here for two weeks for the birth of our grandson. The apartment provided both of us with ample room and was just as described and more. The apartment was very comfortable, clean, nice and warm and contained everything we needed for our long stay.

Brighton is a great place and this apartment is perfectly located near the sea front and close to the centre. The hassle free parking for a Brighton location was a bonus.

We had a great time and would not hesitate to recommend this apartment to others!

Just right!

We booked here for a little getaway and it was great! The apartment was spacious enough for two (and all my luggage!) and was a perfect base. We went sightseeing and ate out on the first day as Brighton is so close and spent the second curled up on the sofa with a take away as we didn’t feel the need to go out as everything we needed was there. All in all a very relaxing time away, a big thank you to the owners!

Disappointed

I am sorry to say that we had to flee after three days as it was terribly loud during the nights, machines like a big big tumble drier were running under our flat. We could hardly sleep !We couldn`t tell it to the owners as they didn`t answer the door or the phone, so we wrote a letter to them ( we knew the plumber would be coming the next day as the flush in the toilet was leaking and the floor was quite wet, but honestly such things can happen ). On the third day the central heating didn`t work and we had no hot water. As we didn`t want to spoil our 10 days in England we decided to move. We couldn´t contact them again as they didn`t answer the phone or the door. Furthermore my husband and I we had to share one big and one small towel and there weren`t sufficient dishes in the kitchen. We have written to them some mails asking for our money back, but now after 6 weeks we haven`t got any answer or our money back. We have been to Britain several times and have never experienced such a behaviour. We are very disappointed .

Owner's Response: This is a totally unfair review, Their was a tiny drip coming from under the toilet cistern which was reported to us at around 6pm on the Friday and was then sorted by a plumber at 9.30 am the following morning, A full set of fluffy towels are always supplied, however the plumber found they had thrown 3 towels into the shower tray and left totally ringing wet...!!! the central heating was working perfectly fine and the radiators are all controlled individually to the preference of each guest and the hot water is supplied pipping hot at all times, there is a full 12 peice porcelain dinner set with everything from ceral bowls to side plates...!!! There was no effort to advise of any problem and had this been the case any problem would have been put right with immediate effect.. This review is very unfair and inacurate in almost everything that has been said..

The Lively famous beaches of Brighton and Hove are situated approximately 1.5 miles/2 miles away which are about 20/30 minute walk or a short bus ride.

Travel:

Nearest airport is Gatwick which is approximately 20 miles away (about 30 mins drive). Newhaven port for ferry services to dieppe is approximately 10 miles away (about 20 mins drive) The property is situated close to all motorway links making it very easy to travel out of Brighton and approximately 5 mins walk from Preston Park main line station. If you have a car then private secure parking is available for 1 car directly outside the front of the property.

Distances:

Central Brighton 2 miles away. Shoreham 6 miles. Lancing 9 Miles. Lewes 11 Miles. Arundel 20 miles. Eastbourne 22 miles. Hastings 37 miles.

Further Details:

If you are wanting to rent the apartment prior to flying from Gatwick then for an additional cost we can organise a taxi and you can leave your car within the secure gated grounds please enquire if you are requiring this service.
