Ski in the 3 Valleys, open from December to May, but stay at a fraction of the cost and away from the crowds. Located within the Maurienne Valley region of the French Alps, Orelle is connected via an Express Gondola to Val Thorens and the extensive 3 Valleys ski area. A great location for those seeking calm, peace and the authenticity of an alpine village with stone houses, beautiful slate roofs and lots of traditional charm. These well furnished apartments, sleeping up to 10 are half a mile from the Gondola where there is a bar and restaurant. The apartment block has a spa (for which there is an extra charge), and a mini-market. There is a further selection of shops, bars and restaurants in St Michel de Maurienne or Modane, both a 10 minute drive away. For more information please ask to visit our website.

My young son and I love the variety of skiing from this lovely alpine village. I am based in the Midlands of UK and we chose this location because it is easy to reach, has great skiing, is a lovely village AND is cheaper than Val Thorens/3 Vallees area.

Nearest Airport : Chambery at 50 Kilometres Nearest Ferry : Grenoble at 100 Kilometres Nearest Train : Geneve at 150 Kilometres Nearest Beach : Lyon at 100 Kilometres Car: recommended

Special interest holidays:

Cycling (road) and Mountain biking in the Maurienne valley in the Spring and Summer, as well as mountain walking, tennis and other outdoor activities.

The Tour De France passes by Orelle in the summer.

Travel:

Chambery airport is less than 1 hour away (BA fly from City)

Turin airport is 1.5 hours away

Grenoble is 1.25 hours away

Geneva airport is less than 2 hours away (Easyjet, BA and Swiss)

Lyon airport 2 hours away

Eurostar to Paris or Lyon, then TGV to Modane and 15 minute taxi ride to Orelle.

Car parking is available at the apartment complex.

Approximately 4 miles from St Michel de Maurienne where there is a major supermarket and other key shops as well as the train direct from Paris or UK. Approximately 10 miles from Modane with further shopping and restaurants.

A 250 Euro deposit is also required and will be held locally in Orelle by our agent and will be returned at checkout.

Changeover Day:
Preferred changeover is a Saturday, although flexibility may be possible.
Long weekends are also offered.
