Conveniently situated on the main trainline to Barcelona and Perpignan and close to culutrally rich towns of Figueres, Cadaqués, Girona, and to the French border offer numerous options for day trips.

' We holidayed at the apartment in Llanca with our 2 adult daughters for a week in early July, followed by just my husband and myself staying at the owners other apartment up in the mountains. It was a perfect combination. The beach apartment was great, with an amazing amount of outdoor space with the various terraces, providing ample room for 4 adults. The beach is such a short stroll away, and if you fancy a bit of a change, one can walk to numerous other coves. Fresh croissants were to be found each morning by a beautiful morning walk to the next bay and we loved the fresh fish that could be purchased fresh off the boat. Following our daughters flying home, we headed to the mountains and had 5 glorious days of walking. The town had all we needed and the views from the hills amazing! We would love to return!'

Stunning Sea experience
From our arrival to our departure, this rental was bliss. The description was perfect--but more to the point, the owners are invested in making the stay as comfortable as possible. We soaked in the terrace sun and swam in the glorious sea everyday-- and were perfectly located for hikes, swims, kayaking, snorkelling and all sorts of sea sports. The apartment is carefully designed to make the most of the incredible landscape. I can't wait to return.

Girona is now the home of the world's number one restaurant "El Celler de Can Roca" -it is an amazing experience, but most Catalan gastronomy and wines are excellent!
The flat is right next to a small beach, with beautiful clear water, rock pools and fishing. Exceptionally clean water which earns top marks for safety when tested. Snorkelling and scuba diving is renowned in this area. There are five other beaches within 10 minutes walk on the headland, both sandy and rocky. 5 minutes walk away there is a sandy beach with beach bars, restaurant, Red Cross, showers and children's activities in the summer.
The nearest airport is Girona 74km (50mins drive), with flights from across Europe with Ryanair (incl. London, Bristol, Manchester, Bournemouth). Also by transavia, Wizz Air.
Barcelona airport 160km (1hr 50mins drive) serviced by all major European airlines.
Llanca can be easily reached by motorway, A7, and by trains. Direct trains from Girona (50mins) and Barcelona (2hr 15mins) or from France, Perpignan (1hr - 1hr30mins). Llanca train station 2km from the flat, and taxis are available.
Llanca has lots of tourist activities including watersports, hiking paths, shopping and restaurants to sample the local cusine and wine, together with all amenities you may need. Llanca and the surrounding area, in under one hour’s drive, offers one of the most impressive concentrations of sites of cultural and historical interest in the country. These include the famous Romanesque monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes, Salvador Dalí Museums showing the creations of surrealism, and remains of a Greco-Roman settlement at Empúries. In the summer months a number of including concerts, music, and exhibitions are held.

Bedroom 2 has twin beds which can be moved together to make a double. There is also a double sofa bed in the living room with sea views.

- Notes on accommodation: The flat is on the top floor of a small block of five flats. The flat is very bright and fully equipped for a beach holiday in the summer, and for a walking/cycling or cultural holidays at other times of the year. Outside: The flat is surrounded on three sides by large terraces. There is a table seating six on the main terrace, shaded from the sunshine. The views are spectacular both in the day and in the evening with sunsets over the sea. There are mattresses available if you want to sleep out under the amazing stars and see the spectacular dawn with the fishing boats going out across the water :) Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Linen and towels provided. Cleaning can be provided at end of stay for a fee of 50 euros or carried out by the guest - cleaning materials provided. Other: Books - fiction/non-fiction, maps and guides.
