We had very enjoyable fortnight's holiday. The property was excellent and good weather

  • 4 of 5

We have visited Samphire House several times before. There was a high level of kitchen equipment Each year more things are included in the rental, all of the highest quality.

The property has beautiful sea views and is convenient for shops and beaches if you don't mind the steep hill .

Our only disappointment this year was that Tate St Ives was shut until next year

The property was very clean. The beds were made on arrival.

Plenty of information was provided.

We had no need to contact customer service.

We can recommend the property to anyone.

Excellent holiday stay

  • 5 of 5

We were 5 adults in our group, but the house provided plenty of space for all of us. We did not know what to expect as regards to basics, but found the house well stocked, including coffee, tea, paper products etc.; you name it and it was there. A bunch of flowers greeted us and breakfast items were waiting for us in the fridge; to top it all, we had a parking spot!!

The house was nicely decorated, the location was very good and there was lots of information about the area. Morna the owner was very helpful. I could see myself spending a few weeks there just to relax in the inviting little room upstairs and watch the world go by or read.

A wonderful stay!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Samphire House recently for the week and we had a wonderful time. The owners have catered for every need and the welcome pack on arrival was a lovely touch! We were close to the town and the main 2 beaches which made it easy for getting around. Whilst the house is up a hill, we managed to navigate it many times and the exercise did us good! We left some shoes at the house by accident and the owner, Morna kindly organised for them to be sent to us prior to is leaving at no cost to ourselves. A great find!

Great house, great location!

  • 5 of 5

We had a fabulous time in St Ives - made all the better by our stay at the lovely Samphire House a short walk away (albeit up lots of St Ives hill - all good for the calf and heart muscles!) from the beach.

The house was very comfortable and well equipped, just as the photos show and the description details, with everything that you could need for your stay. We went on for a second week in Dorset but it was hard leaving with our daughters wailing "can't we stay here for another week?"! And I have to say, I kind of agreed with them!

We had a little issue with a power cut one day - but no sooner had we rung the housekeeper, then she arrived on the doorstep to resolve the issue and no further problems. Also something was left behind at the house and a quick email response from the owner to say it wouldn't be a problem and the item was posted on (at her expense). So many thanks for everything. We hope to return one day.

perfect holiday home

  • 5 of 5

A lovely, comfortable, well equipped home. Very clean with good information books at the house. A fridge with essentials in was great and the flowers gave the house a nice feel. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Having a parking space is a bonus in St Ives. I would recommend this holiday house to family and friends.

Our 2nd Time at Samphire House.

We spent the May 2014 half term at Samphire House and had a most lovely time of it. We were also there last year and have re-booked for May 2015 as well!

This holiday home, is clean, welcoming, nicely decorated and has pretty much everything you could possibly need for a holiday by the sea. The owner is very accommodating and helpful. The welcoming pack when you arrive is a very nice touch, how lovely to have fresh flowers and local produce awaiting you.

A parking space right outside is a pure luxury in St.Ives and with town and Porthmeor beach 5 minutes away, we know why we keep on re-booking!

From the Owner

We lived in Cornwall already but found ourselves gravitating towards St Ives at every opportunity. The town offers so much without having to use the car. We love all the beaches and if the sun is out, even in winter you can usually find a sheltered spot to make the most of its warmth. Access to the coastal path is easy, within a few minutes you can be heading further west towards Zennor or east around The Island, harbour and off in the direction of Carbis Bay. It is great having the train station in town and although we tend to hop back on the train after walking along the coast to Lelant Saltings , it is also useful for travelling to Penzance, Truro, Falmouth etc . We never tire of the shops and restaurants and love having a cinema within 5 minutes walk of the house. St Ives is perfect!

From the Owner

Although Samphire House is perfect in summer due to its proximity to the beach, it is perfect for a break at any time of the year. Nothing better than a bracing walk along the beach followed by time spent in front of the log burner with a choice of recent dvd's, books or magazines .
