Village House in Torrox Pueblo, Near Nerja Costa Del Sol, Spain - Good Access To Local Amenities

In a traditional Spanish village the house stands at the upper edge of the pueblo. This lovely dwelling has the benefit of easy parking, good access to local amenities including the bakery and fresh produce practically sold from the door step. From the terrace you can watch how life goes by in a tranquil atmosphere.

Hi colin & liz, just to thank you for all you did in making our holiday in torrox a pleasure - pick up at airport was a godsend especially the cold refreshments en-route you supplied.

we love the town it had all we needed for a relaxing break, your town house was more than we expected, comfortable clean and well located. Roof top terrace an absolute sun trap and most wonderful panoramic views over town and mountains! Complimented by huge hot tub (we used cold not hot) to relax and cool down, hse exuip with all we needed and fab shop right opposite the door. Can recommend la plaza restaurant fab 7 x tappas and bottle wine 10 euro. Hope to visit again soon.

The ideal holiday home ....

Just come back from spending 12 days here and loved every minute.

I'm spending time on this review when I don't normally do reviews .. the holiday that I have just had deserves this.

House - has all the facilities you need and more. The roof terrace is a great size and having our own private jacuzzi that we could dip into when we wanted was a great luxury. The back of the house has it's own 'courtyard' that is near-private. The coloured light you can change whilst eating an evening meal is a nice touch.

Location - in torrox pueblo, a small village that is 'original spain' that does not have many tourists. torrox costa with it's beach and bars is only 10 mins away by car and there are regular buses.

Owners - a lovely couple that can't do enough to help.

Thank you very much Colin and Liz for an ideal holiday home to stay at. I will no doubt be returning next year if not sooner!

Quiet, relaxing break

We were pleasantly surprised by the size (not to mention quirkiness!) of the property. The photos really don't do it justice. The villa had everything we needed to be a home from home. Colin and Liz were so welcoming and helpful. As we arrived during Easter celebrations, the shops were shut so Liz offered to do our shopping for us! Everything we had asked for was there waiting for us upon our arrival, along with some delicious bread and sausages that Liz had made with her own fair hands! As promised, Torrox Pueblo gives you a taste of the 'real', non-touristy Spain. It is a very quiet village and you can walk from one end to the other and hardly see anyone! Everyone we did meet was very welcoming, although their English was, understandably, not as good as in more touristy areas. You'll need to walk down to the main square to mingle with other people/ holidaymakers. We loved having such a quiet, chilled holiday where we were left to our own devices. Thank you so much, Colin and Liz for your hospitality! Highly recommended!

Quaint village house

It was a pleasure for are much needed break. The pic's don't do it justice.Very spacious and private. Bob & I were greeted by Colin & Liz to make sure everything was ok.The local shop was was bonus and only a short walk to car park and bars & restaurants on the way and to the main Plaza. Recommend La Plaza for tapas and bottle of wine €10 enough for 2 persons.

Hope to come back in New year.

Excellent Value for money

This is a fantastic town house in a lovely, friendly town. Being higher up the views from the terrace were stunning. The walk down to the square was about 10 minutes with plenty of pit stops on the way. There is a good selection of restaurants and bars, the nicest being Laplaza which was very reasonable and very friendly. The corner shop opposite is very handy for fresh bread and milk. The house has everything you will need and Colin even put a hair dryer in there to save me taking mine!

Nothing was too much trouble and it was great to meet Colin and his family. Thanks for everything the holiday was perfect. We will definitely be back next year!

White Spanish Town

The house was very spacious and everything you need. The jacuzzi was a god send for the kids as it was so hot. Lovely Spanish town. Colin the owner was great and left us alone. The street was noisy just for short periods of time when the bin men came and the street cleaners came by, but we got use to it as you do with a new environment. Plus it ensured a lovely clean town. Would recommend some air con units when funds permit in the 2 main bedrooms. Loads of space with the terraces. The bars and restaurants are very cheap compared to other parts of Spain. If you like curry recommend the one and only curry house (about 300m away) brilliant. Buses easy to get down to beach and back once you know the times. Tapas in the square really good, and great ice cream at the parlor out of the square towards bus stop. You must buy figs of the old ladies in the street. Absolutely lovely, good value for money, we will no doubt be back one day. Thanks Colin x

Calle Pontil

It is a delightful house with much more outside space than we expected - but a lot of steps. Since Torrox is has very steep streets, having a level walk to town was much appreciated! The supermarket opposite and being able to park nearby was ideal. Colin & Liz were very helpful and we will return.

Is an area visited before and liked the fact it was "real Spain" the people around are very freindly and the village has a real caring feel. Its an easy 45- 60 min drive from the airport and now has even better motorway links,including Granada. the area has grown and developed in a very positive way without any loss of charm. As well as the obvious attractions of the beach and mountains it should not be over looked that we are just less than 2 hours away from ski ing in the Sierra Nevada.Also very popular with hikers / walkers & cyclists who use this location as a base. The advantage of this self catering property is its convenient location for amenities without the hustle & bustle.

Nerja (beach El playazo) 10 mins drive coast road this has extensive sandy beach with churinguitos perfect for alfresco dining, wind surfing, fishing.

Caleta marina, coast road 15 mins west lovely peaceful place to dine in this tranquil surrounding.


Airport Malaga 45-60 mins by car. Regular bus service from Torrox Costa opposite Aldi supermarket to Malaga then rail link directly to airport. Airport transfers can be arranged at additional cost.


Award winning Frigliana, mountain scenic route approx 8km, lovely white Andalusian village.

Competa Village 15km inland with stunning views of mount Maroma, this village has a lovely church in the main square surrounded by restaurants and tapas bars with extensive menus for all tastes, regular entertainment venues with flamenco plus varied multicultural local talent with theme nights!

There is something quite lovely about sitting on the roof terrace relaxing in the sun overlooking the sea and mountain veiws.We also benefit from using the 4 person jacuzzi whether in the sun or bathing at dusk , having the benefit of two sunbathing areas through out the day and for the none sun worshiper two out door sitting areas.

Outside: Private jacuzzi/spa pool in the lower court yard suitable for 4 persons, covered terrace eating area or can be used to relax. Small terracotta terrace overlooking court yard and spa. Large roof terrace with sea views (Torrox Costa) with plenty sun bathing space.4 sunbeds , serving tables,parasol,& 7 chairs.
