Cottage in Grassington, Upper Wharfedale, Yorkshire Dales

Gregory View is situated on a quiet lane just off the the centre of Grassington. It is a conversion of a 17th Century barn and has lots of original features with a real home from home feeling. There is a large wood burning stove in the living room. There are two bedrooms upstairs - a double and a twin room. It has been fully renovated in 2011 and now offers a wonderful place to stay in this most popular of Yorkshire villages.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful village

  • 4 of 5

Cottage had everything we needed and was lovely to be welcomed with flowers and wine. Lovely view for our cup of morning tea in bed and bird song to go with it. Uncharacteristically hot weather so we missed having a garden but there was an outside seat and then of course there was the pub! Shame we didn’t get to test the fire!

Cosy, comfortable, well equipped and a fabulous base for winter walking

  • 5 of 5

Great location, warm and cosy cottage with lots of character. Grassington is an ideal starting point for a wide of walking in Wharfdale and a short distance from Skipton and Bolton Abbey. We ate in the Gardener's Arms on the last night and were impressed by the vegetarian options and the friendly atmosphere.

Great cottage and superb host.

  • 5 of 5

Had wonderful stay over Christmas with the cottage providing a great place to stay and hang out in between exploring the dales. Close to pubs and walks it is in a nice location in a quintessential Yorkshire dales village. Host was very attentive and welcoming with a Christmas tress up and a bottle of wine on the table. Highly recommended.

Lovely, cozy, charming cottage in Grassington

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in Gregory View Cottage for 3 days and wished we could have stayed longer despite non-stop rain. The cottage is small but well appointed and oh so cozy. The views are lovely, the location ideal, the hosts are thoughtful and accommodating. We couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay in one of the most beautiful spots on Earth!
