The area is one of the most desirable parts of West London, situated as it is within easy reach of Heathrow Airport (20 mins by car), the heart of uber-smart Kensington & Chelsea, London’s glorious nearby Holland and Hyde parks, the amazing new shopping centre at Westfield, numerous nearby tube stations and some of the best restaurants and gastro pubs in the capital. Easy access to central London in 20mins.

We have a full time housekeeper on hand, the indomitable Ana, and we are always reachable by phone or email. Please note that all of these apartments are exclusive dedicated full time short let apartments, they are not people's homes just vacated! My husband works for the world's foremost upmarket travel magazine and he loves to pass on any hidden gems in London he has discovered. Why Elizabeth chose Kensington and Chelsea

We always loved the fact Brook Green and Olympia have very cosy 'village' feels whilst still being in the heart of central London and with easy access to the rest of the city. There are two parks on our doorstep, Holland and Hyde parks, glorious in summer. You can walk to the heart of Kensington in 10 mins - so its very well positioned. It is fabulous for pubs and restaurants, very handy for tubes and trains ... and very easy for exiting London on the M4 or M40 motorways.

Excellent stay in newly renovated apartment

This was my favourite Owners Direct I have ever stayed in. One thing that attracted me as opposed to many other listings was the fact that this felt like home. The owner was there when we arrived and she was lovely! There was a detailed booklet letting us know instructions for everything and we didn't have to guess. All the beds were super comfortable with the king size bed and sofa bed, and beautiful bathroom) Around the corner is a great little general store and a fantastic wine shop and also a cafe and deli. Olympia is minutes away. We stumbled on a restaurant that had been open only a couple of days and wow, the food was stunning it's called the Havelock Tavern. The flat is really well located and it's easy to get around no matter if you use the tube, bus, Uber or Black Cabs.

Great location with loads of public transport

The process for booking was very easy and smooth and the owners communicated regularly. They provided helpful information about the flat and the surrounds.

The flat had some really lovely features - fresh air, ample natural light, comfortable bed, well equiped kitchen and convenient Landry facilities.

We were disappointed about the general condition of the flat, it was not consistent with the description or the photos. It appears we were the last tenants before a renovation but this was not communicated to us prior to booking or before arrival. The blinds didn't work, sofa was uncomfortable to sit on and the two chairs needed springs; this meant there was nowhere to relax. The bathroom was very challenging; the tiles were lifting and crumbling.

The owner apologised for the bathroom but It would have been fair to let us know the flat needed renovation and have the opportunity to look elsewhere.

I would recommend the area and the hosts, but I would check that the renovation had happened.

Owner's Response: Many thanks for the review, and apologies for the tiles in the bathroom, you are quite right, they were lifting up a bit, to be honest I didn't realise that they had come loose, the apartment gets such a lot of wear and tear during the busy summer season, they were lifting more than I realised, i'm sorry about that. We have been planning to re-do the bathroom for a few months, and I did try to do some amateur handyman work on the tiles in the meantime before the renovation but it obviously didn't work very well! Indeed, you were the last guests before the total renovation (happening September 2016) where actually the whole bathroom is being moved out of the flat into the storeroom across the hallway, creating a lot more space also in the apartment, and the bathroom is then being re-attached as an ensuite with a clever bit of architecture! And while we are doing that we are modernising the whole apartment. Anyway, apologies again for that, we would be happy to recompense you for the inconvenience? And I promise that next time you come it will be amazing! Kind regards Lizzie

Small apartment, convient location

Booked this apartment for the location, and with the understanding it would sleep 3 people (myself, husband, and 18 yr old daughter). I was advised the sofa bed was large and comfortable, however it was neither. We had a couple issues with the housekeeping upon arrival which was communicated to Hugo right off. He responded right away and was very nice and helpful. The apartment itself really is only for 2 adults any more than that it is quite tight.

The apartment itself is nice and is a great location with three tube stations w/in walking distance to get you anywhere you wish to go. There are a lot good places to eat and Pubs to enjoy in the area.

It was mentioned they would be doing some upgrades and renovations to the property in the near future, so I'm sure it'll be better than ever.

Owner's Response: Thanks Cynthia, im so sorry you didnt like the sofa bed, as mentioned at the time, literally everyone who has ever slept on it before has absolutely loved it, it is made by Loaf, who are famed in England for making the most comfortable sofa beds in the country! We have never heard before that it was not comfortable. When we first furnished the apartment we were determined not to skimp on making the apartment a 'home from home' feel. And so we pushed the boat out to get the best most expensive sofa bed we could, it is officially double sofa bed sized but we never allow more than one extra person there (ie maximum of three people) so we are surprised to hear that the double bed was not sufficient for one person. We did a 'test' night sleeping on it a few months back and thought it was very comfy. But we will do another test on it next week and perhaps it has detiorated. But as also mentioned the entire apartment is getting a facelift in August 2016, there will be brand new everything. Were glad you liked it other than the sofa bed! Kind regards Lizzie

Nicely decorated apartment in a quiet, pleasant neighborhood. The closest tube station is not fully operational, so you have to walk about 8 or 10 minutes to the next-nearest one. If you are two people this is a great space; it's a bit tight for three. Our daughter used the living room as her bedroom and this made things a bit cramped. Overall, not too bad for a few days in London. The owners were easy to reach and provided helpful suggestions.

Comfortable and convenient

This is a nice little apartment with a comfortable bed and bedding. I can't really imagine a third person here but it could work. It is as pictured, and clean and well maintained. The owners are very responsive and provide a lot of helpful information about the area. Close bus access, with easy transport through Kensington, into central London. Also, easy access to tube stations. (10 minute walk)

enjoyable stay

I was staying in London for an exhibition at the Olympia Hall. The location was perfect for that. It was super convenient and comfortable. Everything was as described. Hugo and Lizzie were very helpful and easy to get in touch with. Also there are some good options for food in the area - cafes, pubs, grocery stores, etc. I enjoyed my stay.

The closest tube stations are about an 8-10 minute walk, but there are a few to chose from, so it's actually a pretty good location. Also the apartment is up two flights of stairs and I don't think there is a lift, so you'll need to be able to lift your luggage. For me this wasn't an issue. I'd definitely stay there again.
