Maclise Road is a beautiful, light-filled first floor apartment forming part of an impressive Victorian house in the very popular Brook Green in Kensington Olympia, within easy walking distance of High Street Kensington. King size bed by Loaf. The apartment features a beautiful sitting room with high ceilings and windows– giving the apartment a spacious feeling – beautiful cornicing, lovely balcony and wonderful old wooden floors.Very close to Olympia Exhibition Hall, Holland Park and Kensington. Heathrow just 25 mins. Central line offers easy access to everything. WiFi internet is free. Many famous golf courses are within 30 mins drive. The area is one of the most desirable parts of West London, situated as it is within easy reach of Heathrow Airport (20 mins by car), the heart of uber-smart Kensington & Chelsea, London’s glorious nearby Holland and Hyde parks, the amazing new shopping centre at Westfield, numerous nearby tube stations and some of the best restaurants and gastro pubs in the capital. Easy access to central London in 20mins.

We manage six 'home from home' apartments in the London Kensington Olympia area. We pride ourselves on our warm welcome and the fact that we will be on hand 24/7 for any information requests or to resolve any problems. We have a full time housekeeper on hand, the indomitable Ana, and we are always reachable by phone or email. Please note that all of these apartments are exclusive dedicated full time short let apartments, they are not people's homes just vacated! My husband works for the world's foremost upmarket travel magazine and he loves to pass on any hidden gems in London he has discovered. Why Elizabeth chose West Kensington

We always loved the fact Brook Green and Kensington Olympia have very cosy 'village' feels whilst still being in the heart of central London and with easy access to the rest of the city. There are two parks on our doorstep, Holland and Hyde parks, glorious in summer. You can walk to the heart of Kensington in 10 mins - so its very well positioned. It is fabulous for pubs and restaurants, very handy for tubes and trains ... and very easy for exiting London on the M4 or M40 motorways.

Beautiful stay away from the crowds

This apartment was in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood. The bed and sofa bed were both comfortable. Beautiful Holland Park was a 15 minute walk away. There were a few bus lines about 5 minutes away, including the 9 and 10 which are beautiful routes into the city. Great place to stay if you're looking for a quiet, classy neighborhood. Hugo was extremely communicative and reliable, providing great info on the neighborhood and London in general.

Great Apartment

We stayed in the 1 bedroom 1st floor apartment and it was great. Very comfortable with a full kitchen. Plenty of space for a couple with a good bed. Great location in Kensington with easy access to stores, restaurants, and the Underground. Will definitely recommend to friends and family visiting London.

Nice Place to Stay!

We wanted a quaint, typical-looking English flat to stay in and that's what we got! Walking down the street we expected Mary Poppins or Dick Van Dyke to appear! This flat was really clean, had all we needed, was in a great location - about a five-minute walk to one Tube station and about a fifteen-minute walk to another, grocery stores and restaurants all around. Hugo was great to deal with and very responsive to our needs. We would definitely recommend staying here!

My husband and I had a wonderful one week stay at Maclise Rd.The home was spacious and tastefully decorated. Elizabeth and Hugo were very helpful and accommodating. On arrival we were welcomed by the lovely Ana ( housekeeper) and given instructions plus helpful tips regarding local shops etc .Getting to know this neighbourhood was a real treat for us , and returning to apartment at the end of day was like being at home .Cant thank our hosts enough. We plan to be back .

Excellent stay in newly renovated apartment

This was my favourite Owners Direct I have ever stayed in. One thing that attracted me as opposed to many other listings was the fact that this felt like home. The owner was there when we arrived and she was lovely! There was a detailed booklet letting us know instructions for everything and we didn't have to guess. All the beds were super comfortable with the king size bed and sofa bed, and beautiful bathroom) Around the corner is a great little general store and a fantastic wine shop and also a cafe and deli. Olympia is minutes away. We stumbled on a restaurant that had been open only a couple of days and wow, the food was stunning it's called the Havelock Tavern. The flat is really well located and it's easy to get around no matter if you use the tube, bus, Uber or Black Cabs.

Heathrow airport is very close by (25 mins by car) and Gatwick not much further (about 50 mins by car). Shepherds Bush and Hammersmith Tube stations serve the apartment well for all points in the capital. There is also the overland rail network and Tube station at Olympia a two minute walk away. Channel; ports of Dover are about one and half hours to drive. The Eurotunnel station at St Pancras is 20 mins by car/taxi.


Heathrow - 15 miles.

Oxford - 50 miles.

Cotswolds - 70 miles.

Central London - 3 miles.

Holland Park - 1 mile.

Further Details:

There is a Waitrose supermarket on Kensington High Street (4 mins drive), a Tesco superstore (3 mins drive) also, there is one of the most famous gastro pubs in London, The Havelock, about 200m walk away, and another well known pub close by too, there are shops and restaurants galore at the new Westfield mega shopping centre. High Street Kensington is famous for its eateries and drinkeries (we send our clients a detailed information sheet beforehand of all the local information they are likely to need).
