About Joanna Tollitt

We are retired teachers and now spend as much time as possible in France as amongst other things we love the French culture, the markets, the regional delicacies and the local wines!

We have made many friends in the hamlet and are always made to feel so welcome.

Joanna Tollitt purchased this cottage in 1970

Why Joanna Tollitt chose Lot

Our charming cottage has been in the family since the early '70s and we've had many memorable holidays there with family and friends. The small hilltop hamlet has remained almost unchanged, unspoilt and is very welcoming. We have recently restored the cottage, retaining its character and charm.

What makes this cottage unique

With incredible views in every direction, it offers a serene tranquility but is within striking distance of many beautiful, famous French landmarks. The area has something to offer at all times of the year, even skiing in the winter! Despite having visited for over 40 years with family and friends we continue to find places to explore and get enormous pleasure from our visits. It's ideal for getting away from it all, enjoying the French culture, famous local wines and regional dishes!

Wonderful cottage

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful holiday in this lovely cottage. Our three children aged 10, 6 and 2 were very well catered for. There is everything for the baby, travel cot, pushchair, highchair and stair gates which meant that we didn't need to bring any large items with us.

The place is very relaxing with amazing views and a very comfortable hammock in the orchard.

My children loved the freedom of going off to explore the village and making friends with the neighbours. As there are so few cars around I was happy to let them roam around. There is loads to do in the area for people of all ages on both wet and dry days. I highly recomend the caves at Padirac.

We will definatley be visiting again.

Beautiful cottage in unspoilt France

  • 5 of 5

We come to this property every summer and the whole family love staying there. The house is perfect for a large family and has plenty of outside space. There are lots of activities in the nearby area such as swimming (in pools, rivers and lakes) horse riding and kayaking. The whole area is beautiful and the view from the back veranda is best enjoyed with a glass of local wine!
