Seaside Cottage in Rhosneigr, Anglesey, Wales - Quiet Location, Very Close To Beach and Village Amenities

"Flip Flops" is our holiday property and is a detached bungalow / cottage with sea views front and rear, refurbished to a high standard, just check out our reviews. Ideally located on a quiet cul de sac very close to the main Rhosneigr beach and close to the centre of village.

We have a spacious lounge with great sea views, two comfy settees and a big bean bag, board games, books, large free sat TV, DVDs and player and unlimited high speed broadband wifi.

Three bedrooms sleeping six in total, one double bed with en-suite large shower cubicle, loo and sink. We provide fluffy hand and bath towels, beds are made up ready for you. In the main bedroom we provide two towelling dressing gowns and slippers. Hair drier. Main bedroom opening to conservatory with sea views with relaxing furniture.

Conservatory opens onto an enclosed rear raised decking patio with deck chairs and pic nic style table and benches. Brick BBQ and tools you just need some coal. Great sea views and nice view of Surf Point Castle. Watch the sun go down with a glass of wine.

Bedroom two is a twin and bedroom three has full sized bunk beds. All bedrooms have bedside cabinets and drawers. You can hear the surf from all bedrooms.

Family bathroom has full size bath, loo and sink.

Kitchen/dining area. Kitchen is fully equipped with utensils, cutlery, pots and pans, microwave, toaster, fan assisted oven, washing machine, fridge and freezer, beer / wine fridge, kettle, glass and oak dining table and baby high chair. Ironing board and iron. Dining area opens to conservatory and rear decking area.

Front grassed garden with sea views, two cars can park on the drive. Plenty of space to park on the road as we have a corner plot.

Well behaved pets by arrangement.

Owners sometimes stay in a separate annex which is self contained and has a separate access.

Change over day in high season is Friday, cleaning will be done between 10am and 4pm, so departures need to kindly vacate by 10am and arrivals after 4pm please. Alternative timings by arrangement.

Short breaks by arrangement usually not in high/medium season.

We do our own cleaning to a high standard which is reflected in the reviews. If you are staying for two weeks we offer a towel and linen change half way through on a Friday.

Change over day usually Friday.

Deposit of 30% by bank transfer or cheque. Balance kindly payable 8 weeks before arrival.

The beach has lovely sand as well as rocky areas ideal for rock pooling. The shape of the bay means it is a safe place for sailing, windsurfing and kitesurfing.

Rhosneigr village has a lot to offer for places to eat and drink with restaurants, cafes and pubs. There some great shops to browse and you can hire surf boards, windsurfers and kayaks.

Great outlook

Once again Rhosneigr weather great whilst the rest of the country has heavy showers! The accommodation was spotlessly clean, with very comfy seating and beds, fantastic views from living room and outside areas, loved watching our very own air display daily with the jets from RAF Valley and some lovely sunsets, recommend as a great place to stay.

Perfect bungalow in every way. Wonderful sea views

It was a bungalow you could feel at home in straight away, Immaculate inside.

A short walk to the beach, and shops. Perfect location.First time I have ever been on holiday and the car stayed on the drive. Wonderful walks with my dog.Thankyou to the owners Chris and Gail. I shall be back, so relaxing., .

Excellent

The property is accurately described, very clean and well equipped, albeit without any wardrobes. It's very comfortable and up to date, even offering Wi-Fi, satellite TV, a CD player and a wine cooler/fridge. Rhosneigr is a quiet village with a beautiful beaches, a wonderful outlook and great coastal walks both nearby and around the island. Restaurants in the village are reasonably good and there a several others within driving distance. The White Eagle and The Marram Grass are excellent. We've been to this property four times and each time it's a wrench to leave. Highly recommendable!

Brilliantly located bungalow

really good, clean and well equipped bungalow. Ideal for families and couples, just a few yards from a lovely beach so it was great for our dogs. We enjoyed a meal at the Oyster Catcher which is partly dog friendly. It was great to watch the wind surfers from the living room and the garden. really recommend this property

Super bungalow in great setting .Anglesey

The property was exactly as described, it was spotlessly clean and very well maintained to a high standard making it a very comfortable place to stay.

The owners were attentive without being intrusive and we would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone wanting a high quality let. We can honestly say it is the best holiday let we have ever used and we have experienced quite a few.

It's ideally situated for the beach and also for the restaurants in the local village.

The decked area to the rear is also ideal for watching the activities in the bay and al fresco drinks and eats, a little sun trap.

Fantastic holiday property with views of the beach

Excellent property in a fantastic location. A home from home - the property is immaculate and well maintained, with everything you need for either a weekend break or longer. From the large living room with sea views to the relaxing conservatory to the bedrooms with very extremely comfortable beds - this holiday property is a real find!!! It was great just being having a short walk to a lovely beach were the kids could make sandcastle, paddle and play in the rock pools It would also be great to sit on the beach with a glass of wine and watch the fantastic sunsets. You are also just a short walk into Rhosneigr, which has quite a few restaurants and cafes. The owners provided quick and prompt communications and I would definitely recommend booking this property - I promise that you won't be disappointed.

Location

From the Owner

We bought Bwthyn Gwyn in Rhosneigr in 2006 and totally refurbished it to use as a Rhosneigr was chosen as it is a great place to windsurf and kitesurf. When it is calm we go scuba diving and fishing. The area is great for walking and we are not far from Rhosneigr golf course. Our location is ideal as we are very close to the beach and close to the village but in a quiet cul-de-sac.

Activity and Interests

Coast/Beach:

The property is located about 90 metres from the beach. Our road is quiet as it is in a cul-de-sac. The beach is mainly sandy ideal for sandcastles with some rocky areas ideal for exploring rock pools.

Kite surfing and windsurfing is popular. Dogs are allowed on the beach all year round.

You can fish off the beach or rocks.

There is a slipway to launch small sailing boats about 300m away and for larger boats there is vehicular access for beach launching, fees may apply.

Travel:

Holyhead is only about 12miles away and has Ferries connecting with Ireland.

Rhosneigr railway station about 2 miles away is on the main line between Holyhead and London.

Nearest International airport is Liverpool John Lennon about 95 miles away and Manchester airport which is about 130 miles away.

Distances:

We are about 250 metres from the centre of Rhosneigr village which has plenty of amenities.

Further Details:

The village is quite lively with cafes and restaurants. We have the Ty Morfa pub with a very good Thai Restaurant upstairs, they also do take aways.

The Sandymount is a pub and serve bar meals sometimes have a live band. Restaurants and cafes include Surf Cafe, Mojo's, Sullivans, Sandy's, Bee Bees and recently opened is the iconic Oystercatcher Restaurant and Wills Beach Bar.

We have two general stores one is also an off licence with a cash machine. A fish and chip shop, apparently the best on the island.

Surfing and Kitesurfing tuition available at Funsport and Geckos. Funsport also provide Windsurfing tuition and you can hire kayaks, surfboards etc. There is some retail theapy available at various shops such as Geckos, Fat Face and Funsport.

  • Notes on accommodation: Property has recently been refurbished to a high standard. Well behaved pets are welcome by arrangement. RAF Valley is about 1 mile away as the crow flies, they train some of their jet and helicopter pilots there including Prince William. This means although we get our own private airshows it can be a bit noisy. However they normally only train in the daytime and on week days. We have had some great times watching the Red Arrows training, Spitfires passing and Chinooks circling. Owners sometimes stays in separate self contained annex with separate access. Outside: Front garden is grassed with sea views, hosepipe. Front drive may have owners tractor (Eric) on it but can still fit one or two cars and there is plenty of parking on the road as we occupy a corner plot. Rear decking area is enclosed and has sea views, table and bench seats. There is a brick built BBQ, you just need charcoal. Rear can be accessed via house or outside by the side gate. Cleaning / Towels / Linen : We provide bath towels and bedlinen. Beds will be made up ready for your arrival. Please bring your own beach towels. Conservatory with sea views. Comfortable conservatory furniture. Opens to enclosed rear decking area with sea views and BBQ. We also have a two bedroom apartment which sleeps four, sea views and very close to the beach.
