The apartment is just 10 minute walk into the centre of Dalyan and the river. It has well tended shared garden and large swimming pool.

Notes on accommodation: Please note that whilst the pool has gradual steps at one end, it is approximately 1.6m deep and may not be suitable for young children or non swimmers. We advise children should always be supervised by an adult. Outside: The floodlit swimming pool is shared by the four apartments. The spacious gardens are very well tended and the stunning mountain views provide a focal point whilst you sit out on the balcony where there are also chairs and a small table provided. There are 4 sun loungers and an parasol for you to use by the pool, to relax. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bed linen and bath towels are provided. Please bring your own beach towels. The cost of cleaning and laundry at the end of your stay is included within the prices quoted for renting the flat. Additional cleaning mid holiday will be an extra cost. Other: There is an outdoor shed storing 4 sunbeds with mattresses, a parasol with stand and BBQ all available for use for this apartment only.

Excellent apartment with lovely gardens and large

My Wife and I stayed there for 2 weeks and would highly recommend this apartment, we will certainly be using it again in the future. All furnishing and fittings very clean and to a high standard and well maintained. Ideal for 2 people, but as there are 2 bedrooms, it could easily take 4. Nice easy flat 10 min stroll into town centre, 2-3 mins to nearest shops/bar/restaurant. We also really enjoyed the company of George & Andrea, and their son Scott, owners of the apartment next door who were there for the same 2 weeks.

Istuzu beach is a 3 mile strip of golden sand surrounded by pine clad mountains and the clear blue water of the Turquoise coast. The public boat runs regularly back and forth to the beach taking about 30 mins costing approx £3 return. The Dolmus, or bus, travels to the other end of the beach taking about half an hour. You can go by boat, walk the length of the beach, visit the turtle rescue center, return by Dolmus. The beach is a nature reserve, protecting the sea turtles breeding grounds.


Flights run throughout the year to Dalaman airport. Check skyscanners for flight companies and dates. You will need £10 per person at Dalaman airport to buy a multiple entry visa for 3 months. I have a driver that collects and drops at the airport costing £60 return, payable locally. If you provide your flight details I can arrange your pick up and drop off at Dalaman airport. The transfer from the airport takes just 40 minutes.


There is a mini market just a few minutes walk from the flat with several large supermarkets about 10 min walk away in the town centre. You can travel to Ortaca by Dolmus taking about 30 mins for the market on Friday. Kocegiz Market has a co-operative boat trip running on Monday. Gocek for the 12 island cruise is only about a 40 minute drive and Fethiye about 1 hour. Olu Deniz about 1 1/2 hours drive.

Further Details:

There is an Is Bank in Dalyan along with other cash point machines. Banks are only open Mon - Fri. Shops tend to not like taking card payments unless its one of the larger supermarkets. Cash in Turkish Lira is preferred.

There is lots to see and do, beaches, ancient Lycian rock tombs. Ancient ruins including an ampitheatre. Mud baths with hot sulpher pools. Loads of beautiful scenery to explore or spot wildlife in. Loads of bars for noisy nightlife in the town center or quiet places to sit with a drink and spot turtles in the river. The Turkish bath is just a 5 minute walk from the flat and costs about £12 for either a turkish bath or an aromatherapy massage. I'm yet to go, but told it is worth every penny. Kocegiz market is larger than the one in Dalyan. The co-operative boats on the river seem to run the best value trips unless you want a private boat. The Kocegiz market trip is about £10 running on a Monday and includes a BBQ lunch and a trip to the mud baths on the way back.

There are also trips organised by independent travel companies. Saklikent gorge is a great day out, but you need sensible shoes for walking over slippery rocks and in the river bed. Further up in the mountains there are rafting trips, and over at Olu Deniz you can do a tandem parachute jump from the top of Baba Dag Mountain. There is also scuba diving available. Dalyan has a vibrant market on Saturdays well worth a visit. The town has a wealth of lovely restaurants and bars to choose from.

The apartment is on the ground floor .and is situated down an unmade road, quite usual in Turkey, about a 10 minute walk from the town centre, market and river. Istuzu Beach a nature conservation area protecting the breeding grounds of the sea turtle can be reached by Dolmus (bus) within 20 minutes or by boat, a 30 minute leisurely cruise through the reeds along the river. There are several bus and boat trips available including visits to the mud baths.

All bookings are handled by the owner Jill. A non refundable deposit of £100 per week will secure your holiday and the rest in full 8 weeks before you travel.
Cancellation refunds: Up to 8 weeks – no cancellation charge. 4-8 weeks 50% of rate refunded. Less than 4 weeks no refund.Whilst we try to accomodate late departures where possible,in the event of clients arriving on the same date as clients departing , departing clients must vacate apartment by 10.30 to allow cleaning.
