A fantastic cottage set in idyllic surroundings. Very well equipped with everything you need and spotlessly clean. The views across to the yacht club are amazing. There are some narrow lanes to negotiate but you soon get used to them. We enjoyed watching the rabbits in the garden and a pheasant came calling one afternoon too. Would highly recommend for a relaxing stay. Many thanks.
A Relaxing Place to Enjoy
An excellent base to enjoy this quite corner of Cornwall. The house is simple and unreconstructed rather than bijou but had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing holiday. If the house is fairly basic (as made clear by the owner) the garden and its views are magnificent; indeed it would be perfectly possible to have a great time without ever leaving the garden's confines - ask our dog! However there's much to see and do in the area. The delights of the Helford rRver are on the doorstep, Falmouth is but a short drive away, the Lizard Peninsula, Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan etc. etc. a little further afield - you'll get used to the narrow lanes, honestly. We had a very enjoyable stay and look forward to visiting again sometime.
A place to unwind.......
Beautiful character cottage in an idyllic secluded setting. Wonderful spacious gardens with stunning views. Ideal base for touring round a truly unspoilt part of Cornwall with friendly and welcoming pubs nearby. Treetops is a wonderful tranquil place to relax and unwind. Highly recommended.
Such a beautiful place
Tree tops is the most beautiful place to stay, we have had such a great holiday there this summer. The best part is the completely private grounds, these are not overlooked at all by other houses and there is total Peace and quiet to relax...and sunbathe if youre lucky enough to get a sunny week (we did). The house itself offers clean and comfortable accommodation after busy days exploring south cornwall, this place really does have all you will ever need. Cant wait to return!
'Tree Tops' cottage in the quaint village of Port Navas is a gem! You arrive and become enthralled by this holiday home with its stunning views. The vintage, cosy cottage is clean and well equipped. The large comfortable lounge has a super log burner and all modern IT equipment.
We had several meals out in the wonderful garden, accompanied by bird song! A few minutes walk takes you down to the Helford river with its spectacular views. The yacht club is a superb place for meals and drinks while watching all the boating and wildlife activity on the river.
We managed to explore interesting gardens, a castle, beaches and a seal sanctuary. Falmouth art gallery is well worth a visit too. Look out for the Hemy painting of the scallop fishermen, an exciting new acquisition. We enjoyed a meal at The Cove overlooking Maenporth beach, although the service on this ocassion was slow. However there seemed to be plenty of choice of restaurants and pubs around.
We thoroughly recommend this holiday cottage. It is perfect for a vacation in this delightful part of Cornwall.
The Perfect Getaway
Treetops is not a gleaming shiny new soulless property - it is a lovely old family holiday home with bags of charm and that wonderful lived in feel which just oozes warmth and comfort. It wraps itself around you and makes you feel so welcome.
Set in extensive grounds it has all the space for relaxing in the sun or strolling around enjoying the scenery and magnificent views down towards the Helford river. If that is not enough there is a feast of local attractions from the excellent Yacht Club just down the road for good food, beer and wine, to the beautiful gardens at Trebah and Glendurgan to the other excellent pubs in Mawnan Smith, Helford and elsewhere. Then there is the Lizard with a wealth of lovely scenery, villages, coves etc. A week is not enough!
We have enjoyed our stay very much and will return next year.
