The wonderful place is very comfortable home to the last details everything is thought of. The owner "Goyo" gave a lot of attention to us. We stayed with our three children and liked the house and the river that is next door. It´s a tiny town and very friendly neighbors.

We were about 10 days in August and loved the house. It is a few kilometers from Potes in a sunny quiet village in the Picos de Europa and the mountains. Both the exterior and interior of the house is very nice. "Goyo" the owner and his family treated us very well.We were 3 adults and two children. We would come again.

Lovely quiet rural location

  • 4 of 5

We had a lovely stay at the property. The house is traditional in style and had plenty space for us (2 adults and 2 children) and would be suitable for 4 adults plus a child. We ate on the patio with lovely views around. There is good walking from the house and if you had the stamina the paths lead up to the mountains behind. Food shops etc are in Potes which is a short drive away and has lots of nice places to eat out. This is a good location for exploring the Picos de Europa. The owner is local and lives next door.

Quiet escape from the hustle of the Picos

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time. Goyo and his brother were fantastic hosts, who treated us to potatos and tomatos from their garden. The house is super small but had everything we needed. The village is very quite and was a welcome escape from the masses of tourists in Potes and around the Picos de Europa.

Fabulous little property , beautiful setting

  • 5 of 5

This property (which I must say received its 2 key status while we were there) is just great, small but all you could need for a great holiday. Goyo and Jose the owners are very friendly and by the end of our stay we were feeling like part of the village community. Goyo took some of our party walking in the local area, a thoroughly enjoyable day. Nothing to much trouble for them,

What a serring

  • 3 of 5

Goyo was there welcoming us, with an umbrella in the pouring rain. Goyo showed us around and explained how everything worked, with a very large smile. Fresh produce appeared from his garden.

The access and parking is quite difficult if you have a large car. The house was very clean, and the kitchen had most things needed for a self catering holiday. I feel the house is better suited for two people, and it would be difficult with children, very little outside space, and if you had mobility difficulties, it would be a non runner. The WiFi was very good, a bonus when you want to look at weather etc.

The area is wonderful, so scenic, and the birds and wild flowers we saw, made this a very special holiday. The cable car is definitely worth a visit, but only go on the walk, if you are an experienced walker or a mountain goat!

We would come back to this area again.

Very small yet lovely location

  • 2 of 5

We could not stay in this place due to the fresh painting and staining. The pictures do not truly represent how small the place really is. It is very small and we suggest you ask how many square meters/feet it is to see if it is suitable for you. That said, the owner was a very nice man and extremely helpful in finding us alternative accommodations on the Sunday that we arrived. It is also a lovely location.

A lovely village house in need of updating

  • 3 of 5

A really lovely traditional village house with beautiful views down the valley, conveniently close to Potes and other villages for walking and birdwatching. The low rating is due to concrete electricity and phone pylons right outside the house not being shown in the photo and need for general updating. We had not been left any sheets on the bed, just shown where to find a blanket if needed, The towels were very old and tired, and need replacing, as do the chiped mugs and cutlery in the kitchen. We had lovely weather and ate outside on the terrace each evening. Inside there is only a breakfast bar that seats 2 (the cottage sleeps 5) which could be a problem in wet or cold weather. We have stayed in this area before and chose the property for its rural location and panoramic views, slightly spoilt by the pylons. Updating and perhaps brightening the interior would allow the owner to add considerably more to the weekly rental price. Basically a lovely property, reasonable value for money, in of modernisation.
