Villa El Jeugo is at the end of a cul de sac in the quiet neighborhood El Pilar. El Pilar is a small urbanization of private exclusive villa’s between Puerto Banus and Estepona. While only 300 meters from the Autovia del Mediterraneo - the main road of the Costa del Sol. This villa is an oasis of peace but at the same time is an ideal base for excursions and day trips. With the covered terrace, garden and private pool facing towards the south, you have the guarantee you will enjoy the sun the entire day.

About the Owner

Since 2005 we use Villa “El Jeugo” as a family holiday & "come together" home. We love to go to Spain as often as possible and try to spend all through the year as much time as possible in Estepona. However as we live and work in The Netherlands there always seems never enough time to enjoy our second live in sunny Spain.

In the summer of 2011 we decided to start renting our Villa.

What a fabulous villa!! Everything you need is catered for here. Kitchen has every possible dish, bowl, glass and utensils by the dozen. Bedrooms are a good size and beds are comfortable. All bathrooms are clean and towels are provided.

We were a party of 2 families (4 adults, 3 teenagers). The pool and gardens are immaculate, we had hours of fun in the pool. Gardeners and pool man keep everything neat and tidy. The villa is quite dark inside but it helps it stay cool. We had very hot weather during our stay with temperatures not going below 29 degrees at night so the air con was a blessing. There is an extra fridge in the utility area which was needed for 7 guests as it was filled with plenty of drinks, and along with the fridge in the kitchen, the freezer part was a decent size.

We hired cars from the airport as we wanted to get out and about however if you prefer not to drive everything you need is a short walk away. There are ample super markets, bars and restaurants all serving excellent food.

We would recommend this villa and thank the owners for providing everything required for an absolutely fantastic holiday.

Beautiful villa clean tidy garden and pool are kept clean and beautiful... Although the villa internally is a little dated we loved it there... Plenty of space... Great location easy to walk to local bars and shops... Suitable for groups families we had my grandson with us and it had high chair travel cot... We all enjoyed ourselves so much we are busy saving fir out nxt trip... Thank you Tom also for making the tranaction easy...

From the Owner

On the retirement of our father our Parents moved to Spain in 1983 and they purchased a villa in the El Paraiso area up in the hills just behind El Paraiso Golf Club. Here they enjoyed life together until Dad died. That Villa eventually became too big for our mother to live here on her own and also a bit too remote to meet friends and do her daily shopping or dining out. In 2005 mother sold that Villa and bought Villa “El Jeugo” – as it was smaller and in order to be closer to all the shops, restaurants etc and the main coastal road. Mum lived here until she passed away. Since then we use "El Jeugo" as our "Holliday Home". We really enjoy staying at "El Jeugo" - and we hope so will you. If you do, do tell the world - when you have any remarks or suggestions, please tell us.

Activity and Interests

Car: recommended


The nearest (pebble) beach is 10 minutes walking from the house. The more touristic sandy beaches are a 5 min drive away and the popular and expansive beaches along the mondaine promenades and sea fronts of Estepona and Porto Banus are a 10 min drive. Most beaches do have a Chirinquito (beach bars), some are authentic and have a very local atmosphere while others are quite fancy. They all serve traditional food, such as paella and fresh sardines or a choice of international-style dishes.


Many budget airlines fly to Malaga airport situated only 45 minutes away, and Gibraltar airport only 25 minutes away. Especially Malaga airport has (very) cheap flights available from all over Europe. There are many car rental options available and we can highly recommend several car rental sites that we have used often.


Villa El Jeugo is more or less right in the middle of the New Golden Mile of the Costa del Sol which means a moderate travel time to most tourist attractions and mayor city centre’s. Supermarket/bank/restaurants/bars 5 min walking, Beaches 5 min (10 min walking), Golf 5 min, Town Centre Puerto Banus/Estepona/San Pedro 10 min, Gibraltar (airport) 25 min, Malaga (airport) 45 min, Ronda/Mijas 45 min, Sevilla/Granada 2,5 hour.

Besides enjoying your leisure time next to the pool and sunbathing there are a lot of things to do. This region is very well known for its historic beauty and places of interest. For a family with kids there is a wide choice for a day out including: Estepona Selwo Adventure Park, a sort of Jurassic Park in the mountains above Estepona. Benalmadena Tivoli World theme park, the largest theme park on the Costa del Sol. The Sea Life Centre at Benalmadena with over 5,000 different species in a 500,000 liter tank and the Teleferico Cableway that takes you to the top of the Calamorro. In Fuengirola a zoo is worth a visit. Every Town and village has it’s own market with fresh veggies, fruit, sunglasses, jewels (bathing) clothes etc. The Market generally starts at 09 AM and closes at about 02 PM. The beaches on this coast are famous for paragliding and windsurfing. A visit to the world famous Puerto Banús Marina with its glamorous boats ranging from high speed offshore boats and yachts to luxurious cruisers owned by movie stars or Saudi Arabian Royalty is a must. It’s here that you will find fishermen with their nets in the same marina full of luxury yachts. The Marina is world famous for its entertainment and the evening hustle in the small streets is just grand for a casual stroll – however watch out not to be run down by a Rolls, Bentley of Ferrari. A day visiting the lovely old city of Malaga is well spend with a visit to the Museo de Picaso. Trips to the wonderful Alhambra in Granada are also possible. Visit Sierra Nevada about a 2 hour drive away, but well worth the drive. Beautiful scenery with excellent skiing conditions in the winter and beautiful mountain walks in the summer. When you are even more adventurous, a day trip to Morocco and a visit to the ancient Town of Tangiers is an option. A hydrofoil takes you from Algeciras about 90 minutes away direct to the port of Tangiers, where you can visit the markets and take in the atmosphere.

Booking Notes:
A 30% deposit is required to secure the booking. Remaining balance to be paid 6 weeks before arrival. Bookings made within 6 weeks of arrival to be paid in full at time of booking. Payment by bank transfer. A weekly £250 Security Deposit is required with the remainder of the balance. This deposit will be refunded within 10 days of departure after an satisfactory final inspection of the property is been carried out with no breakages, damages or excessive electricity/air-con usage.

Changeover Day:
Changeover days flexible, high season Saturday changeover preferred. When back-to-back booking guests are requested to vacate the villa at 10am as the cleaning staff will arrive. The villa will be available again at 4pm. We try to be flexible if needed.

Notes on prices:
Prices displayed based on a stay of 8 guests. We can charge a very competitive rental rate because we check, out respect for our environment, the electricity bill. We expect our guests to use the AIRCO in a normal and sensible way. To ensure we record (with our guests) the reading of the elec. meter upon arrival and departure. When excessive and exorbitant usage is noted the extra bill will be deducted from the deposit.

First of all the enjoying the nice sunny Spanish weather, every month of the year in a quite and private garden close to all amenities, beaches & mayor towns. As golfing is our hobby you can be frequently found at the nearby courses. Lounging at the bar of a Chiringuito sipping a cocktail and watch the sun set. Discovering local restaurants in the small villages.

  • Notes on accommodation: Our villa is a non smoking property. There is internet access at the villa (own laptop advisable). Local spanish TV and sky box with access to all international "free to air" channels. Our manager will meet and greet you at arrival. The keys of the villa will be handed over to you, you will be shown around the villa and any questions you may have can be answered. (small) Pets are permitted in the villa only with prior approval, a weekly £ 50 fee applies. Regarding the location and situation of the villa and out of respect for our neighbors we do not rent our villa to stag or hen parties or young single group bookings. A £75 end cleaning fee applies. A house folder is provided and is full of useful information to help you get the most from your holiday. It includes directions to many places and recommendations of places to visit and eat. Outside: The premises is accessed by a security gate, so you can park your car(s) safely on the driveway, in the shade. The house is complete surrounded by the garden which is mostly grass turfed, our experience is that guests do appreciate this more then the usual flagged or tiled surrounding. The pool has Roman style graduated steps, making cooling off easier for elderly and children. Pool and garden lights for evening entertainment. Weekly pool and garden services. Management company on call for real emergencies. There is hardly any traffic on the 1 road outside the villa. Utility Room: The very large and bright adjoining utility room with its characteristic fountain includes a washing machine, an extra refrigerator and plenty of storage room. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: While linens and bath & beach towels are included, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. Especially for multiple week rentals we have 1 extra set per person. The Villa, beds & towels, will be cleaned prior to arrival and after departure. Other: There is a garage underneath the Villa.
