The village house features a flat tv screen with UK channels and DVD player, there is a terrace with patio area and BBQ facilities. A spiral staircase leads to the 2 bedrooms ( 1 twin and 1 Double) and bathroom . There is also a cloakroom off the sitting room. The property has electric heating, towels, beach towels and linen provided.

Just to let you know that we had a lovely week in France. The apartment was very attractive and nicely presented and a great base as it was so close to the shops and beach. We had a great time and I hope we will be able to come back again. - R. Kerslake
Activity and Interests
Situated right beside the sea, there is a wonderful beach which is a short walk away.
The ferry crossing from Portsmouth takes approx 21/2 hours by catamaran or 41/2 hours by standard ferry.
Carteret is approximately 40 minutes by car from Cherbourg, on the coastal route.
Carteret is a seaside village approximately 40 minutes drive from Cherbourg on the coastal route. It has wonderful beaches and the apartment is situated in the centre of Carteret.
Turning right from the apartment will bring you to the Hotel Marine where you can enjoy evening drinks on the terrace, watching the boats come in, then a little further on is the beach. Turning left will take you to the Bar du Port, with a stop along the way at the amazing bakery to buy a croissant to have with your morning coffee.
Market day in Carteret is great fun and shouldn't be missed, is on a Thursday, but there are surrounding villages and each has its own market day.
Carteret has a sailing school offering all training levels from 4-7 yr olds just discovering the sea to proficiency levels.
There is also a riding stable in the immediate area, and a tennis club with 4 hard courts.

A security deposit of £200 is required, payable with the final payment due 28 days before check in, to cover any damage/s to the property, including breakages, lost keys etc. The security deposit is refundable within 2 weeks after the property has been satisfactorily inspected and found to be free of damage
Earliest arrival time at the villa is 2pm and the house should be vacated by 10am on the day of departure or as agreed if the villa should be without guests due to arrive the same day.
