Le Mezzanine has two large double bedrooms with one large triple, two bathrooms and can sleep 8 very comfortably.

Two private patios with BBQ and outside furniture lead on to the gardens and the pool.

There is full central heating for the cooler months.

The grounds are peaceful and secluded and are safe for play and where you will meet our friendly ducks and chickens, who will supply you with fresh eggs

We have owned Pistoulet these past ten years, during which time we have lovingly restored the property to new glory.

We feel truly blessed to be here and more than happy to be able to share our good fortune with our guests

Coast/Beach:

The golden beaches of Fouras and Chatelaillon Plage extend for miles of fine sand, uncrowded with a wonderful Edwardian atmosphere.

The Islands of Re and Oleron boast sandy beaches in the south and to the North rock pools for the children to explore. These are the jewels of the coast about 40 minutes from Pistoulet.

Pistoulet is a hub to local places of interest. To the North we have Niort and the Marais Poitevin (the green Venice) with its quiet mystery, flora and fauna

To the south the historic market town of St.Jean D'Angeley, to the East, Cognac on the banks of the River Charente. To the West, Surgeres with its beautiful abbey situated on the banks of the river Gere and so on to the Atlantic Coast.

There are a wide range of quality supermarkets to suit every taste along with The ambiance of the traditional French markets.

All banks and supermarkets have A.T.M. and very locally we have Intermarche at Beauvoir and the Co-Op at Villeneuve and of course the village shop.

The local Boulangerie delivers bread and croissants etc.

There are many quality restaurants and well loved family restaurants. There are a list of recommended restaurants in the cottages.
