We are proud to invite you into our studio apartment, which provides everything you need for a comfortable, relaxing stay amongst breathtaking scenery at a very affordable price. We can offer you both an indoor, heated swimming pool open all year round and an outdoor pool with sun loungers, which is open during the summer months. There is also a playground, games room, table tennis, boules, tennis courts (there is a small charge to hire the courts) and a free car park on site. The studio is set in a quiet hamlet next to a beautiful golf course and surrounded by mountains and with Lake Annecy around the corner! It is perfect for couples, friends or a family looking for a quiet retreat or for those wishing to explore the French Alps by car, bike or on foot. There is a 30km purpose built cycle path at the bottom of our lane which takes you all the way into Annecy. The Lake itself provides endless enjoyment in the form of water sports, swimming or relaxing and in the winter there is easy access to many ski resorts. Annecy also hosts the famous fireworks and music spectacular called the Fete Du Lac each summer which should not be missed! Annecy is often used for a Tour de France cycling stage.

We are very helpful owners so will be happy to provide you with the local information you need to make your holiday very special. You will need a car, however, as we are not served by public transport. Check-in day is usually a Saturday, please email me if you have a different day in mind and I will do my best to accomodate you.

As this is a studio apartment, it means the living and sleeping area is combined. There is a new, standard sized double bed with memory foam mattress topper (purchased July 2016). The studio is like a large double bedded hotel room with also a kitchen and dining area. If you would like more clarification on this, please just ask. In addition, there is an individual foldup chair bed for one younger child and additional single airbeds which are perfect for adults or older children.

About Jane Pearce

My husband and I met when we both worked for EuroDisney in Paris in 1992. He then moved to the French Alps and yworked as a ski rep and then Area Manager for many of the French ski resorts. Years later when we decided to buy a holiday home, Annecy was our first choice. As well as being breathtakingly beautiful it offered us both a summer holiday - swimming, lake, walking, relaxing, exploring and also winter skiing. Our son was only 2 years old when we bought the studio and have been delighted to find that it has been a fantastic location for him as a toddler, and now as he is growing into a teenager, the skiing, water sports, cycling, exploring mountains, Lake swimming, caves, gorges and waterfalls provide us all with the perfect holiday destination too. We hope you will fall in love with Haute Savoie as much as we have!

Why Jane Pearce chose Annecy - Lake Annecy area

We purchased our studio when the site was just a field! We were shown around the plots by the Mayor of the village who is also the owner of the golf course. We chose a ground floor apartment due to having a small child, so he would have plenty of room to run and play and we loved the idea of relaxing and eating all our meals on the outdoor terrace. We wanted a property in a great location with both an indoor and outdoor pool, so we could chose to spend a relaxing holiday at the studio and also have the option to explore exciting places nearby.

What makes this apartment unique

As it has such peaceful surroundings you can spend your time just relaxing here with swimming and walking being the most strenuous of activities, or you can go off mountain biking, water sports, explore mountains, summer toboggans, paragliding, boating, hiking, rambling, explore historic buildings, go down caves, along gorges and through waterfalls, the choice is endless and even after holidaying here for 9 years, we are still discovering new places! Everything you could want from a holiday is just a walk, cycle or short drive away, this is a perfect base to explore the beautiful Haute Savoie region.

In the winter it provides a perfect base to explore different ski resorts which is ideal if you don't want to be tied down to one ski resort. The closest, La Sambuy, is less than 30 minutes drive away and the larger resorts of Megeve and La Clusaz are around 45 minute drive from the studio.

Notes:
The complex is made up of all privately owned apartments. Our studio is looked after by a wonderful English lady who lives opposite. She is on hand to welcome you, settle you in and assist you throughout your stay. We have a welcome book in the apartment ready for you which is full of local maps, places to go and see. We have tried to provide you with everything you need for an enjoyable stay including a flatscreen TV, Freeview box, DVD player including a selection of family DVD's, boules set, games and even a picnic set! Linen and towels are NOT included but can be hired, directly through me, no later than 3 weeks prior to your departure. We can also offer you pay-as-you-go wifi access at the complex. This is a non smoking studio and we please ask guests to respect this. Outside: The apartment complex is located next to a golf course with stunning views of the mountains. It has a large, free car park, boules court, playground, Games room and a heated indoor pool and outdoor pool with sun loungers. Please note that as in most French pools, men and boys must wear fitted "speedo" type swim shorts/trunks, no loose legged swim shorts are allowed! Both pools are normally open between 9am and 12pm, closed for lunch (very French!), then open again 2pm to 7pm. There's a boules set and table tennis rackets and balls provided in the studio, plus inflatables for the lake, however these must be used with strict adult supervision and their use is entirely at your own risk. There is also a sauna and tennis courts but both incur a charge to use. We are surrounded by orchards, farm land and a quiet hamlet behind the complex all nestled by the surrounding mountains. There is a purpose built 30km cycle path which takes you straight to the beautiful historic town of Annecy. Utility Room: A cupboard houses the vacuum cleaner, mop/bucket set plus storage shelves for clothes and plenty of hanging space (plus hangers). We do NOT provide an iron or hairdryer so please bring these with you... if you need them! We provide 4 pillows and 2 double sized blankets. However we do NOT provide linen, so please bring your own towels, sheets, etc. Studio will be spotless when you arrive and has to be the same when you depart, all cleaning materials and equipment provided. Other: There is also a white patio furniture set consisting of a table and 4 chairs which can be used indoors for extra seating or outdoors on the private terrace. There is a large, free car park on site.

Set in stunning, picturesque surroundings, this studio is perfectly situated for sightseeing, exploring and relaxing. The studio has everything we needed and the games room, swimming pools and tennis courts kept us very well entertained. Highly recommended.

Just perfect!!

We had a fantastic stay here! Everything was perfect; the cleanliness, the facilities and the location! The Children loved the Pool too. We would stay again without hesitation. Exploring Annecy nearby, is a must and you will find a wonderul Brocante at Albertville if you like that sort of thing (thanks Vicky!)

Great value in a wonderful situation

A comfortable, clean and well-equipped studio apartment in a small holiday complex, with shared access to ample parking, an indoor pool (outside too in summer), and optional breakfast. From our ground floor French doors we could see the mountains on the opposite side of the valley. If you like peace and quiet away from the madding crowds, this could be the place for you! In clear weather the night skies are wonderful as there is no light pollution.

There are lovely signposted walks almost from the front door, around the expansive adjoining golf course, along the valley floor, or up into the wooded hills, through the old village of Giez. We used a hire car (warning - it's very complicated from Geneva where you have to use the French sector of the airport; if we come again we'd fly to Lyon). The driving is easy around Giez, with the small town of Faverges less than 10 minutes away. You can see Mont Blanc from the Lidl supermarket! There are good local tradtional shops and a market, and a not terribly helpful Tourist Office. We had an excellent take-away pizza on Sunday night, and later on an indifferent meal at L'oreille d'ours - not recommended! This memory was eradicated by an excellent meal at nearby Doussard - the Bistrot du Coin, opposite the supermarket car park.

The driving is trickier up the alps, but well worth it for access to the summits and views. There is also an excellent bus service (stop 15 minutes from the apartment) north into Annecy (and Faverges to the south). the fare to Annecy is E3.50 single, and we enjoyed not having to drive or park - just taking in the scenery and being taken right into the middle of town where everything is an easy stroll, with some good lakeside walks.

All in all, a most enjoyable holiday. The locals were very friendly, but few spoke English, so take a phrase book! A Michelin road map of Haute Savoie was also a worthwhile investment. Communications with Jane the owner and her agent on site were friendly and efficient, and if a studio flat is what you want, this one comes highly recommended.

Small but perfectly formed!!

The apartment had everything we needed - but added to that it was in the most perfect setting. I didn't realise we would be in such a beautiful spot - very near to Lake Annecy and all the amenities.

The apartment was very well equipped with everything we needed to leave it as clean and tidy as we had found it on arrival.

All in all a great place for our first visit to this area.

Comfortable, high standard apartment in a wonderful area

The apartment was very well equipped with the added bonus of pools on site . Great value for money.

It is conveniently situated to explore mountains or relax on the lovely lakeside beaches , helped by the very comprehensive collection of local information. Jane was really helpful in our preparations for the trip and Vicky the local manager was also really informative. As a base this made for an ideal opportunity to experience a memorable holiday.

A great studio apartment in a great location

We had a great time in the studio, it was like home from home and was in a lovely quiet village but close to annecy. We loved seeing tour de France at end of road and there are great cycle paths. The girls loved the indoor and outdoor pools. The studio had everything we needed and Jane was great with recommendations of where to eat, beaches etc.

We would def return as we had a really brilliant time.
